This video is the second in a series using Gravity Sketch in a Meta Quest 3 to create polygonal models. In this case it’s a creature and we’ve gone for the amazing Queen Alien from the 1986 epic Aliens.
In this video I’ll be using a new layer and making the first layer transparent. See the previous video if you missed it.

The volume tools are great for quickly making shape to define a silhouette for the model. We don’t use this geometry at all later down this line other than for a reference.

Absolutely. I grew up reading William Gibsons works like Neuromancer and Count Zero and jacking-in to cyberspace. This is as close as it get for me right now. I wish the apple vision pro was more for creators and less about media consumption. Gravity sketch on the Vision could be amazing

Why is the color of the 3D designs of Nomad not shown in the Unreal Engine program؟🙏🏼
Gravity Sketch can now use AR? Looks like Im going back to that program from Kodon..
So just to be clear, the AR bit is me using Gravity Sketch in a Meta Quest 3 with Passthrough on. Gravity Sketch allows that on the standalone version only for now. Tethered you don’t get the option sadly
@@SouthernGFX Ah! I only use wireless. But I actually thought you were talking of Shape Lab. Im not going from Kodon to Gravity Sketch :-D
@@matslarsson5988 yeah is a complexity different technology form Kodon. Stick with it!
passthrough may be good for the user, but i feel it's not for videos like this, even more when the shapes have the same color as the background... i don't know how people feel about this, but it's hard for me to concentrate on the forms.
I totally agree with you. I have one more like this and i won't be doing anymore with passthrough on. What you say is exactly how I feel. It's great for me as a user but pretty hard on the user trying to watch. Everything I do after next weeks is going back to a very plain, darkish background.
