Jack: *finds himself on a beautiful, mountainy area* Jack: "I'm gonna guess this is Finland!" All Finns in unison: WE DON'T HAVE A SINGLE DAMN MOUNTAIN IN THIS COUNTRY
Kemyriah That's right. :p There used to be two mountain ranges in Finland's area but then the whole place was flattened away by the ice age. When the ice melted the current Finland was mostly submerged. But the ground rose back up and is still rising. No hope of getting those mountain ranges back though. :(
Kemyriah 😁 It is pretty nice, I just went on a walk with my 11-year-old cousin at like 3 am and it wasn't too cold, the sky was bright blue though the sun wasn't there and the worst thing we encountered was a drunk guy rapping really loud. Hehe. If you wanna experience Finland, rent a lodge by a lake or something, because the cities aren't that mind-blowing. There are cozy spots in all of them of course, and they tend to have these weird patches of woods every here and there that aren't big enough to get lost in and don't have any dangerous or venomous creatures. Unless squirrels are dangerous. 🤔 I guess those are an experience as well, I often wander in them myself. Or go to Lapland for Christmas. c:

I'm late, but portuguese is my first language and it wasn't referring to the city Rio although it was very close, translating the phrase would be "bridge over the Furnas river"
Finland is not a part of Scandinavia, because Scandinavian countries has primary languages with germanic origin. However, Finland is a part of the Nordic Countries (Norden), because that is the term used for the geographic area of Northern-Europe (also including Iceland, Faroe Islands, Åland islands etc.) I hope this helped :)
I live in Arizona and I have played this game a bunch of times and have never been dropped there..you play it for two rounds and get it TWICE?! Bonkers
It's because Arizona has a different look to the deserts in the US. (from my knowledge.) I think the sand is either lighter at some times, or darker and the cactus are greener, same with the bushes.
15:25 as a Scandinavian, I could easily identify it as Scandinavia but even I could not tell where. A tip for this: if a house is red and wood it is probably Scandinavian!
TheHappyNoob That would have been a crapshoot, because “Rio” just means “river” in Spanish and Portuguese. That sign says “Bridge over Furnas River”, which just happens to be in Brazil.
For people saying that "Brazil was easy to guess because it had 'Rio' on the sign": you would have guessed it right if you had the city of "Rio de Janeiro" (it literally means "River of January" in Portuguese) in mind, but for the wrong reason :P "Ponte sobre rio Furnas" means "Bridge over Furnas river" in Portuguese (Furnas river is in the state of Minas Gerais, and the city of Rio de Janeiro is in the state of Rio de Janeiro). I know "rio" was capitalized on the sign, but Portuguese and English have different capitalization rules. In particular, the capitalization of categorical words (such as "river", "street" and "building") before proper nouns is optional in Portuguese; both "rio Furnas" and "Rio Furnas" (Furnas river) are correct :) Also, for Brazilians saying that "Brazil was easy to guess because there was a road sign with 'BR' on it", that BR means "Road battalion" ("Batalhão Rodoviário" in Portuguese, in homage to the soldiers who helped to build those roads), not Brazil. It wouldn't be natural to assume that a random acronym on a road sign would be associated with the country's name (and, in fact, it isn't).
That sign meant Bridge above the Furnas River, the only way he couldve figured out it was Brasil or Portugal instead of Spain or any other spanish talking country is if he knew that Bridge in spanish is Puente and not Ponte.
"I keep seeing this thing and I keep hoping it'll get closer but every time I click it doesn't. See? It's just there on the horizon!" Congratulations Jack, you've discovered the American Dream. Good luck reaching it buddy.
Jack if you're thinking that Finland is one of the conutries and you see big hills/mountains/whatever they are, here in Finland we don't have those. Norway has most of them
firstly. jack "trying" to read swedish was hilarious secondly: that jack thought "storgårdsgatan" was a city was also hilarious, bc its a street it even says so in the name "gatan" means "the street" the full translation of the name of the street is "the big farm street"
okay, didnt know , ive never been there but the names of some streets are really weird and doesnt really have anything to do with the street, at least where I live
Jack: “this could be Sweden, this could be Norway, this could be Denmark, this could be anything!” Me, a Dane who knows the differences in the languages: -_-*
I know nobody cares but I am so excited, I got a perfect 5000 in Finland. I was dropped in the middle of nowhere and traveled til I saw four signs, pointing in four directions to different cities. The names seemed Nordic so I searched until I figured out they were in Finland. I zoomed in super close and searched Finland until I found all four cities, then I used the distance on the signs to find the exact intersection I was at. WOW. Probably a waste of 30 minutes but oh well!

If/when you play this again I have a helpful tip: if the road is in Km and says BR on the sign that's Brazil for sure. A lot of main roads here are named BR-[random number]. I loved the video and hope there are more like this, when I saw a place I generally recognized I got really excited.
3:53 "obedezca las señales" means "obey the signs" in Spanish (it was not the right country, but you got the language right :) :P 5:10 That Swedish flag was a dead giveaway :) 6:12 "Ponte sobre Rio Furnas" means "Bridge over Furnas river" in Portuguese (btw, you're forgiven :) 16:56 🙌 (I don't mind, though: no one knows everything :)
Thais Barros Pimenta I commented about that elsewhere, but that BR actually means "Road battalion" ("Batalhão Rodoviário" in Portuguese, in homage to the soldiers who helped to build those roads). The fact that the country's name also starts with "BR" is just a coincidence :)
acctually it's called BR-267 because its the name of the road, since it's a federal road it's called BR, if it was a road from the state of Minas Gerais (my state btw, i'm brazilian) it would be called MG followed by 3 numbers that represent that raod. if you zoom in the brazilan map you'll see lots of roads with names made from 2 letters followed by 3 numbers.
Sean, you should play the game 80 days. Its a choose your own adventure game where you try to make it around the world in 80 days by strategising and managing money. The way the game throws events at you reminds me of 60 seconds, but its also much less frequent.
14:27 I know the people who live in that house. I came knocking on their door selling lottery tickets and they thought I was scaming them. A week later my mom told me we were going on a hike up the mountain with the very person who opened the door. Also my dad lives there. And.... "Nice place". That city was voted to Norways ugliest town six years in a row.
Is it just me or does it happen to others too? Whenever I'm crying, I watch Jack's (Sean's) Videos and I immediately feel better. I feel happier because someone is making me laugh. He is truly my favprite youtuber and has helped me get through some hard times. Thank you!

Not true ! Unless you have a sufficient knowledge of all Cyrillic-alphabet languages, communism wasn't only a thing in Russia... Soviet Union consisted of Ukraine, Serbia, etc.
Just some rules of thumb: Red houses == Sweden 99% of the times, Bad photo quality == Mid USA or Australia, Road numbers with BR prefix == Brazil, Dashed white line on both sides of the road == Sweden, If you recognize Cyrillic letters, your best bet will be to choose the areas around Moscow (14% of Russia's population is in the Moscow metro area + the vast majority of other areas in Russia don't have Street View)
same lol, i understand that the languages are similar and i don't blame him for not knowing, but he could've just take a look at the road sign, it literally says "BR"

Jack: Reads a sign that says Rio. Guesses Spain anyway.
Bob JugaJuga it could be. Rio is spanish and Portuguese for river... and both do have rivers...
Rio de Janeiro means January river...
That sign meant Bridge above the Furnas River, the only way he couldve figured out it was Brasil or Portugal instead of Spain or any other spanish talking country is if he knew that Bridge in spanish is Puente and not Ponte.
Hearing Jack trying to speak Swedish is just hilarious for me😂😂
and WELcome to.....
every time....
"I keep seeing this thing and I keep hoping it'll get closer but every time I click it doesn't. See? It's just there on the horizon!" Congratulations Jack, you've discovered the American Dream. Good luck reaching it buddy.
that's really depressing and scarily accurate
My family had a road trip though Nevada, and that is all it was.
My family has to go through the whole of Texas when we visit my grandparents and it's the same thing throughout the whole state.
4:34 Any swedish person knows it's sweden just by looking at the Ica sign.
Very true
I love how he searches for a Swedish street name on the map, guessing on some random location and gets that close to the right town.
10:30 You know it's in Russia when theres a Soviet Union symbol on a sign.
AHAHAHAHAHAH. YEP. THIS IS HOW IT IS, COMRAD
Hammer me sickles were used in Ukraine aswell
Finland isn't a scandinavian country it is Nordic.
This is the first one of Jack’s videos I ever watched
Jack if you're thinking that Finland is one of the conutries and you see big hills/mountains/whatever they are, here in Finland we don't have those. Norway has most of them
firstly. jack "trying" to read swedish was hilarious
secondly: that jack thought "storgårdsgatan" was a city was also hilarious, bc its a street it even says so in the name "gatan" means "the street" the full translation of the name of the street is "the big farm street"
WhenCowsGame so a farmers road?
Robert Harris yeah the name says so but we just name our streets really weird
WhenCowsGame It actually is a farm up that road. As far as I can remember anyway.
okay, didnt know , ive never been there but the names of some streets are really weird and doesnt really have anything to do with the street, at least where I live
WhenCowsGame Ya. Same here. That's the only street I have seen that have a name that makes sense. xD

13:50 jack: this is nice, this must be Finland
Russia: y U BuLLy mE?
Norway: actually, this is my land...
But finland dosent have mountains
I know nobody cares but I am so excited, I got a perfect 5000 in Finland. I was dropped in the middle of nowhere and traveled til I saw four signs, pointing in four directions to different cities. The names seemed Nordic so I searched until I figured out they were in Finland. I zoomed in super close and searched Finland until I found all four cities, then I used the distance on the signs to find the exact intersection I was at. WOW. Probably a waste of 30 minutes but oh well!
Do you know this language?
Hei Sketchi, aika siistiä.
No, I don't :( I just speak English and I used to speak French. I am Danish though and I know a tiny bit of Danish but not much.
That's a lot of dedication to getting a perfect score if nothing else
Sketchi eyy u danish? Im swedish! x3
It takes so long to get it right. It took me 15 minutes to get 2.4 km away.

It was the stile of roof that gave it away LOL

Now there is someone who says England is a continent and central London is a country in Europe. I wish I could save the IQ of my school.
Question for your school (not you, since you know better than the others seem to): Is Africa a country or continent?

If/when you play this again I have a helpful tip: if the road is in Km and says BR on the sign that's Brazil for sure. A lot of main roads here are named BR-[random number]. I loved the video and hope there are more like this, when I saw a place I generally recognized I got really excited.
I saw Russia and I immediately thought: "Yep, that's us".
кексики тоже рисуют хоь кто-то русский❤❤❤
Юлия Кличко eee💙
Syka Blyad
boi you be huge
You know its Russia when the sign has a hammer and sickle
He knew it would become a trend someday
3:53 "obedezca las señales" means "obey the signs" in Spanish (it was not the right country, but you got the language right :) :P
5:10 That Swedish flag was a dead giveaway :)
6:12 "Ponte sobre Rio Furnas" means "Bridge over Furnas river" in Portuguese (btw, you're forgiven :)
16:56 🙌 (I don't mind, though: no one knows everything :)
Yeah, I just realised my mistake, sorry for thinking you were wrong.
Marvin No problem; we live and learn :)
He literally checked the plate that said KM and ignored it said BR=Brazil hahahaha
Omg I laughed so hard when u clicked Finland😂😂😂 We don't have that kinda mountains here lol😂😂😂 But I loved this👌

Sean, you should play the game 80 days. Its a choose your own adventure game where you try to make it around the world in 80 days by strategising and managing money. The way the game throws events at you reminds me of 60 seconds, but its also much less frequent.

10:18 the communism thing on the sign was a complete give away that it was russia
Didnt even see that
Snow Bandit Russia isn't a communist country, it's right wing country (the complete opposite to communism)
Not true ! Unless you have a sufficient knowledge of all Cyrillic-alphabet languages, communism wasn't only a thing in Russia... Soviet Union consisted of Ukraine, Serbia, etc.
Just some rules of thumb:
Red houses == Sweden 99% of the times,
Bad photo quality == Mid USA or Australia,
Road numbers with BR prefix == Brazil,
Dashed white line on both sides of the road == Sweden,
If you recognize Cyrillic letters, your best bet will be to choose the areas around Moscow (14% of Russia's population is in the Moscow metro area + the vast majority of other areas in Russia don't have Street View)
DeepSpace I was screaming BRAZIL when I saw the sign with BR ( im brazilian btw )
same lol, i understand that the languages are similar and i don't blame him for not knowing, but he could've just take a look at the road sign, it literally says "BR"
the sign said rio as well so...
Even Nilsen Edvardsen I'm pretty sure "Rio" means river
Fallen Corporation really? Rio is a huge city in Brazil
