My cousin is currently doing this,but unfortunately they said that i would have to get a new hard drive-at least my data is getting recovered...

My external hard drive makes a sound when I connect it to my computer, it can show but I don't see the blue line which shows the data,
Then it disappears after some minutes.
But the hdd remains running and very hot.
How can I recover my files???

Hey I bought one for my Xbox and accidentally set it too medium instead of games and apps is there anyway to fix it
my toshiba 1tb is not even showing up in the disk management, after i found it unplugged from my pc oddly for some reason. thought that's irrelevant to the fact that it isn't showing up in file explorer under "This PC" and also not showing up in disk management. It's no where to be found and all of my games were uninstalled that were using that storage drive

Hey! I have 2 of these. One of them at the connector part got fried/burned. Would it be at ALL possible to take the logic board off the good one and put it on the other? The one that got fried for me has 20 decades worth of pictures and documents, so I really need the data on it.
Good luck finding a board, only way you can attempt it is find a identical drive, found none USB on eBay of both. I'm thinking of just trying a actual similar sata board.
Shouldn't the USB port have been cleaned before reattaching it to the board?

@@MyRepairVideos My external hard drive is full of photos from 2020 and photos from other years that I've pulled to prepare for a wedding anniversary. I have finished slideshows and slideshow projects that I was still working on. This means this external hard drive is very, very precious to me. I've watched other people's videos but you seem to be the only one I can trust to have the contents recovered. Where should I send it to? Would really appreciate it.
