Never got the chance to see them in xoncert. We have huge venues here for live music, QUEEN always tours here, Rammstein (best show ever ).. But Kiss, nope. Lady gaga tours here as wrll, all name acts. Such a pity. Minnesotans love live music. Well. Thats life I suppose.

If you were offered the chance to take Tommy's place in KISS, which would mean wearing the Spaceman makeup, you'd do it. I've been a Kiss fan since 1977, and I'd do it in a heartbeat. Look at all the people who have played Batman or James Bond. The band didn't run and hide, or pull any punches. It was acknowledged that Ace and Peter were out. Both Tommy and Eric have made the Spaceman and Catman personas their own. Remember, they're characters owned by Kiss.

They should've gotten their own completely different characters like Eric Carr & Vinnie Vincent. But I read that Gene said he doesn't care that the newer fans think they are watching Ace Frehley. He said it was only the old (I would say, original) fans know the difference & care. So that's the bottom line: they can make more money pretending to be the original band than being 2 originals and 2 replacements. It is truly sad but I don't care anymore & I wish they would end this farce. It really ended after their first farewell tour.

I prefer the original Kiss lineup of Ace, Peter, Gene and Paul. It's their band, and up to them about whether or not new personas are introduced. I will admit, I checked out as a fan when KISS returned with Tommy Thayer. I avoided Kiss for about 5 or 6 years. When they released Sonic Boom in 2009, I heard Modern Day Delilah. I was blown away. I later realized that it's still KISS, no matter who's in the band. It obviously doesn't matter to anyone else in the crowds that show up at their shows either.
