Been wanting a bird for good time now. Last time I had one when I was a kid back in 00s. His name was tweety bird. Beautiful parakeet. Almost all golden with fade white tip feathers; which I never seen any bird like it. Missed him, always sing joyful music and I was heart broken when I came back home with bad news

Thank you so much for all your tips. Me and my husband just adopted a rescue who was severely attacked by cats for 18 hours straight with the last family. His tail feathers were ripped out and they had scabs on his shoulders of the wings and it caught on his head, he also has a scratch on the eyeball.. but he is so loving for everything he went through! He adores bath time very much especially since he didn't really have any for like weeks on end, thank you so much!

This was so cute! The way me bird bathes is that we have a sink that comes out in multiple small streams and he loves it!
My lovebird will only bathe in his water dish lol but at least he gets bathed, he only does it when I've just given him fresh water
My parrotlet always waits until I'm about to give her fresh water to bathe! I don't know how she does it, but I have to interrupt her bath every time and I feel so bad!

Fresh, clean, drinkable water is what any bird wishes to bath in because during preening a bird drinks the water off it's feathers.
Your budgies look like they have waterproof feathers cause when they get wet they come back up but their feathers aren't wet

You have helped me out so much learning how to properly take care of my birds. i recently about a month ago rescued some budgies that were being sold they were sickly looking and had los of feathers. but i can tell you now they are 100 percent better they are healthy as can be.

My bird doesn’t like showering but what I do it put her in my hand near the stream but not on it and she likes to play with the water and she starts bathing herself and by the time she realizes it she’s all wet 😂😂😂
Wet birds are one of the cutest things on this planet. I love how they dance around. I’d love to have a pet bird some day. I can’t right now because I don’t have enough time to spend with one, but one day when I’m less busy I hope I can adopt one that needs a home.

I always know when my bird wants to bathe because he hops in front of a ground fan (A shielded fan so he doesn't get hurt) and he tries to take a bath I'm the wind. I love watching birds enjoy taking a bath because they become fluffy, puffy, chickens!

Guys! For anyone who finds it odd that bluebell swims in lettuce, it's because in the wild, budgies bathe in wet grass! That could be a reason bluebell likes to bathe in wet lettuce!!!

My budgies a funny little character, she only takes baths in my water cups. I’ve tries shallower wider dishes, spraying, letus dishes, shower, and sink but her favorite is just a water cup. 😂
One of my three budgies loves to bathe in either his large water bowl or one of the smaller drinking bowls. He looks so cute doing this!🐦
