- Today I walk you through a day in the life of my parrots! This is everything they do from the moment I get home from school to the moment they go to bed. They’re usually out for at least 4-5 hours. If you’re a high school student or anyone else preparing to get a bird, keep in mind this is how much time you’ll have to spend with them.

Not really. Every bird should have a mate that is the same species. Here in germany you can't really buy one budgie. It's bad for them even if they have other bird friends. But they do have great cages though

When I first watched this without birds I was like” oh haha that’s so easy I can easily own a bird” but now... oh boy( I got birds(4) and there really hard to take care of)

I read that parrots are dangerous and their bite is 5x less bad than a pit bull bite, I heard they can bite off your finger and that they scream at night but it seems that these ones are well trained and loving, and they’re so cute!! You’re an amazing mom to them :) obviously, you care about them with all your heart
All they do is screm. They love screming
I have 2 cockatiels, only big birds have a strong enough bite to hurt you and they don’t scream at night.
They only scream when something is wrong

My friend has four birds, and as I can't get some of my own yet I live vicariously through her. My favourite thing to observe is whenever she gets home from school and work and calls upstairs to her birds with their names.
They always respond
I think if I had a bird it would make ME eat a lot healthier, buying fresh fruits and veggies to have "snacktime" with them. :) I'm impressed; you're a high school student, able to take great care of these precious parrots, and give them lots of love. Great job.

I was homeschooled too for a year and came back to school this year and noticed a change in behavior such as more enthusiasm when training... They love me, just don't show it.😂

In one video I was watching I was thinking I bet her parents hearts burst with joy every second of every day that they created the most beautiful young lady I’ve ever seen . How proud they must be . 6:04 Yeah, I do that too with the wild birds in my back garden. It's important not to let their food go stale🙂 6:28 I do that too -- I put my thumb on the end of the hose so that a jet of water blasts the birds' food dish clean.

Love your birds cages! My cockatiels cage is 27'' inches in length 15'' inches deep and 30'' inches tall. And He comes out of the cage for about 2 and a half hours a day. 😃
I think I watched this 1000 times bc It’s really helpful. You can see the healthiness from your birds. I show my mom these videos because I want a sun conure, so I’ll tell her what I do. I love this channel so much. It’s entertaining and helpful. Are there any tips you have on conures???

This is amazing. You look like you have such a lovely life with your birds. They have such big cages and they seem like they have such a nice setup. I really admire you taking care of them like that. Do you happen to have any tips on how to develop more confidence in your bird. Mine is scared of everything, including tissues which I have to use pretty often with her. She is such a poopy poo. My mom hates it but I love her so much. She also takes a while in trying new foods. I try to be patient but that's never been my strong suit and I just want her to be healthier. She is a quaker parrot and thus more prone to fatty liver disease. She was on a seed diet when I got her but I have made great progress in switching her to a healthy pelleted diet. But the problem still stands. She takes a second to eat any veggies and she isn't a real fan of fruits. Sometimes I can't get anything more than a few nibbles out of her. Might I add that she also doesn't play with any of her toys. She's too scared or disinterested with them./ I have plenty in her cage and a large variety but she doesn't touch them at all X(.We got her about two months ago by the way. Maybe I am expecting too much out of her. How long have you had your birds?
Thank you so much! 2 months is not a very long time- I’ve had Bluebell for 6 years, Ducky for 4, Kermit for 2.5 and Pearl for almost 2 years. I would suggest target training to desensitize her to new objects. Teach her to touch a stick, then get her to follow it. Always reward her with treats. Once she’s target trained you can get her to move closer and closer to the new object. To get her to eat veggies, eat them yourself and act like you really enjoy them. Birds are flock animals and will follow their flock, so she might be more interested in veggies if you’re eating them in front of her. Getting her to eat pellets is a great start if she was on an all-seed diet. For getting her to play with toys, try some different types if she isn’t interested in the ones she has. You can also try playing with them yourself and acting very excited about them. Keep in mind that this takes time.Thank you for being so dedicated to her care, I know owning birds isn’t easy but it’s so worth it when they finally eat veggies or play with toys for the first time.
It took almost a year for my budgie to start to eat vegetables. I would put out a tablespoon of shreaded lettuces. I put it on a Shiney plate. PERSISTENCE pays off!
what is the recommended size for a cage for a single cockatiel? I'm getting them in 5 weeks and want everything good, I have a cage already but I'm still worried that isnt good enough.
I find that putting my birdies to sleep always takes the longest. Good thing they are so adorable, though some nights I am soo tired but luckily for them it gets done.

Your birds adore u and so are easily trained . Budgies are so underrated I’m from Australia and know how smart budgies are my nans budgie spoke 70 different words Australian and Italian . I know u don’t have any cockatoos but I find it funny that heaps of Americans do becos hardly anybody in Australia would have a cockatoo as a pet . What a nightmare cockatoos and galahs are crazy and were never meant to be pets lol 😂 😂😂😂 just look at jersey and vinnie lol case closed lol lol

My parrots HATE bathes! Like literally, when I try to bathe them they sceam at me (BOTH of them). And when they're done with their bath they're all grumpy and puffy.
