I got a 1989 volkswagen fox 1600. I'm looking for a fuse/relay diagram. Want to see and find out how many relays there must be with points on the relay and the value
Hi PJ.. I have scirocco mk2 1.8 8v 1990, basically mechanically the same as Golf from same era. Just wondering if you ever experienced an issue im having. The problem appears randomly but it has been an annoying issue for a while now. Anywayz car makes loud ticking noise, clicking you could say, can happen randomly at times on and off, can become a faster tick with more acceleration applied and slower tick when less... Definitely from under the hood somewhere, but hard to diagnose these things while driving.. Dont seem to do it while idling, if it happens though its very subtle ... Any ideas, help would be appreciated.
Hi PJ Came across your vid . . Awesome 👊 and thank you for the many invaluable tips. One question tho . . . Do u only loosen the one side wheel or do u do both ?
Hi. Thanks for the video. I have an issue. Just bought a vw caddy and have a few problems. When pulling the handbrake, theres no "clicking" to keep handle above. Is the mechanism loose or is there something missing. I am a newbie to vw, so please bear with me.thanks
Hi unfortunately I don't have a video, and it's a bit difficult to explain, so I'm going to give you a link of a video on a VW beetle, which works on the same principle. It will help you understand the mechanism better ruclips.net/video/3umyBIwEhyE/видео.html

Citi golfs never really had any noticeable mechanical improvements. So basically everything that works on the earlier models works on the latter ones as well
Thank you PJ , once again you produce awesome videos , thank you for all your help 🙏🙏

What could be the reason if a Golf's mk1 handbrake is really stiff, the button doesn't press.

Does both drums need to come off or only passenger side?
Hi. Yes, do the process on sides. Both drums to come off, because u need to get to the adjuster
Only one side of my car has a adjuster. Is that a problem or is it a simple fix?
@@ashwalters747Hi ,you will need to get an adjuster. It has to have one on both sides.

First one
Lol . Thanks :)..
Does this work the same on the 2008 model citi aswell?
Yes.. The Handbrake set up remains the same even for later model mk1s
