Very helpful thank you
I never thought to look up the bearing like you did. Northern tool is a good place to look. thanks for showing this. Still watching all your videos even if I don't comment. I watch on my tv so don't always comment like this time I am on the computer.
Thanks Mike, have a great weekend!
Very good presentation. Well Done Young Man.
Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks for the info! I didn't know you could find that info from the bearings. Have a good weekend! See ya!
That's a good way to figure it out! Thanks
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
I always figured 5 lug 3500 6 lug was 5000 8 lug 7500 dexter axles are 6200 or 7000 pound axles x how ever many axles
I have a homemade 5×8 with a single 3500lb axle. Very solid frame. Just a single forward tongue with no chassis support. Really wondering if it can support a 200gallon water tank.
The water weight would only be 1600lbs. You've got 1900lbs leftover. I can't imagine the tank and trailer weigh that much. Keep an eye on it while filling but you should be fine as long as the trailer is in good shape.
That’s a solid 5x8 trailer , I have a 6x12 3500axle iam thinking of switching the axle out for a 5k and welding in some extra bracing to undercarriage and toungue . That way I can haul my little bobcat mt100 on it , it weighs 3450 hauls as is but it’s little hairy to say the least .
You didn’t calculate anything, you just quoted known specifications. But thanks anyway.
