Btw instead of dodging, u can time your EX skill with the boss attack (the yellow sign/line) because EX skill makes u invincible so you can do damage while avoiding the boss attack 😊
For some attacks like the triple stomp the first boss does, it's better to do 3 dodge counters and save the EX for a tighter situation. But yes EX specials can be used as an Evade as well
Also follow-up attack after his EX triggers his Core skill which gives all squad members a Shield of 15% of his DEF +100 (+16% crit rate when another character in your squad shares the same Attribute or Faction)

I had scraps to work with for trying to roll with an only-boys team (Lycaon/Ben/Anton or Billy) and while it seems like I had no synergy to work with, Ben really ended up being the glue that held this team together. I focused on doing rainbow anomaly build up since Lycaon and Anton build up anomalies fairly quickly for not being Anomaly units, but Ben's shield crit rate buff happens to be such a nice general support buff, allowing him to fill in the gaps left by having no support, and a combination of Ben's EX special and Lycaon's ridiculous i-frames mean I can pretty much ignore most boss phases whenever I want. Kinda sucks that most players seem to think he's a bad unit for some reason or other.
how did you impair the robot very quickly? i finished shiyu 10 with electric team and impaired the first time around 20% remaining boss health. what is the mechanics behind impairing? does fire dmg impair faster? thanks
cant be too sure but u sound like u dont have a stunner/defender on your team. and if u do, ur not using them properly. stunners should be on field majority of the time until the monsters get stunned.

So i think its like a status affect like corrupted or assault or shatter. except it does less dmg but adds a slight debuff/stun kinda like corruption does. It seems unique to bosses with multiple parts to them like the robot machines do.

for controller, usually your swap button is R1, you can swap in the reverse order using L1 instead. On the keyboard, iirc its the C button instead of space bar
Okay. So if you did the same thing, but without Ben and did nothing but smack the boss with S11. How would time differ? I am not convinced that all your swapping around is actually DPS improvement compared to just dodge counter with S11.
NGL anyone who says Ben sucks because he's slow is a complete noob. He literally steamrolls boss content with his ex-special and dash attacks when timed right builds so much stun and does so much damage it's insane. Ex-special negates damage and gives your team a shield that also increases crit. M6 combine dash attack, dodge attack and ex-special coming out of parry depending on what the boss is doing, do a stun and dps rotation and just win the game.
I heard that % elemental damage usually is worse than %atk for atackers and pen ratio makes sense because zhu yuan dmg is super high and making 20% or that damage into true damage is really usefull mainly against enemies whose level are higher than yours like in the shiyu defense.
Well, this made me realize that I have a lot of growing to do as a fighter. I am not getting anywhere near S-rank despite having better gear on average and higher level units. But i feel like I learned from this a good bit. I've got to get better at using Nicole appropriately to keep up her debuffs. And I need to use my defensive assists more often. I know their attack patterns well, especially the first boss, but I'm not quite as good at dodging them as you. I look forward to learning more from watching your other videos.
What do you think about Zhu, Ben, Lucy on a team? I wanna do Zhu, Ben, Nicole but Ben wouldn’t get team bonus at that point. How important is his bonus to his gameplay?
The shield he gives provides crit rate. Right now when people don't have characters all built up properly it's quite useful, but I think if you already have good crit rate on zhu then it's not too big of an issue if you miss out from Ben's bonus
@@Shanaha the other thing I think would be useful is the anti-interrupt on the shield. When Zhu is blasting away, the animation time of her Ether charged shots are easily interrupted and there is a tad bit of animation lock where she doesnt go right in to her dash. I've been hit and had my damage interrupted many times this way. I've never used Lucy though. What's her whole support deal? Think she'd pair well?

About ben tho he really needs lucy on a team with zhuyuan since that 32CV will be wasted if you slap nicole. And as of now zhu yuan needs stunner, since her kit have a 6 second max combo of her 9 bullets if bosses are dazed. So yeah just use anby if you dont have any, because thats her dmg window. What I do is I will let nicole be last on the chain attack> quick assist to zhuyuan then do atleast 2 bullets supressor>Nicole E>Zhuyuan(Ult) and then do the 5 bullet max combo + dash attack(1bullet) and it will automatically string to 3rd enhanced basic attack(3 bullets) a total kf 9 overall and you do that in 6 sec window since Nicoles buff last max at 8.
Depends, but when both are build correctly, Zhu Yuan dmg output is better, her numbers and overall ether as element feels better. Still, Soldier 11 with correct team is close and ofc great too. Same can be said about Nekomata.
Actually a lot of A rank chars shines best when reaching M6 since their stat increase exponentially from M0 to M6 unlike S rank which has stat that has diminishing increase return from M0 to M6.
Thankfully Im not this far into the game yet so figuring out how to beat this with Billy is a problem for future me ^^. Defenders using only 1 charge for parry+ Ben's own personal counter is going to be HUGE in the future.
I guess Koleda is your best option, followed by Rina with her penetration buff. But if you don't have any of them, then just use a 2nd dps or anomaly agent. That's my opinion.
I have Cinema 6 Ben waiting (Thanks Zhu yuan for the pity I guess) to upgrade him, I really liked his gameplay but my lack of fire damage units like S11 is making getting a rank higher than B on Shiyu defense really hard.

I already built anby and nicole for s11 anyways and still built piper+lucy because i thought it was a stronger team but kinda impractical xD
Ben is my ultimate tank/nuker. His wengine lets him dish out insane damage every 7.5 seconds. Saving the boost to dish it out when the enemy is stunned is so satisfying.

u can switch out ben and lucy if their built is on par with each other, it really depends on the enemy type tbh, ben is great against bosses that attacks multiple times quickly like durandal (the archer ethereal), he also allows u to build crit dmg on soldier 11, cause ben can subsidize her crit rate with his shield, lucy is better against immobile bosses because against them her off field damage has the most efficiency and her big atk buff is great for any dps tbh
We have same team, stuck at shiyu 16 cant even B clear it. It have fire resist ahahahaha. And on 2nd node is ether weakness but a lot of mobs I tried the fire team there and Nicole is needed for the grouping xD

Defense role has the second largest base stat impact after stun role
So u can add impact stat on defense role ,if u want it

If you dont get the auxiliar and defender buffs your dps obviously will be lower there is no denying that
