- Has US President Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel exacerbated the deep-rooted dispute between Israelis and Palestinians?
This report talks to people on both sides of the conflict. For them Jerusalem is more than a political disagreement. The city is their home, a place of longing for Jews, Muslims and Christians alike. Our documentary joins travel guide Schmuel Kahn, who emigrated from Switzerland to Israel, on a tour through Jerusalem's Old City, where the holiest sites of Judaism, Christianity and Islam exist side by side. Anthropologist Ali Qleibo, who is descended from an old Palestinian family, wonders how he would react if his daughter wanted to marry a Jewish man. Sarah from Hamburg, who has taken Israeli citizenship, makes a fervent appeal for a Jewish state. And musician Muhammad Mughrabi is convinced that only dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians can bring an 'end of hatred'. @@aturtump1861 Humanitarian is a Christian concept because Christianity has believed in an ancient God YHWH was reformed by a human Jesus who atoned with God and is God paradox. Jesus was human he could reform a God of judgment to a God of forgiveness as a son. God experiencing what it is to be human through a son and becoming God.
Obviously Christianity is also practiced in flawed ways too.
But the spiritual question of today needs to be answered that helps bridge understandings and values and differences.
I think there is a mutual spiritual solution in Christianity, Islam, and Judaism and all religions. But it requires giving up an idolatry God for a God beyond idolatry. (Isaiah shared by all three religions).
Plato also influenced these three religions and the Druze.
Obviously Christians, Jews, Muslims will not give up their religion. And the atheist doesn’t understand the deeper connection religion provide.
So if there is to be peace the religions of the area need to be in dialogue and friendly argument To find greater realizations. And abandon the literal stupidity.

I enjoyed listening and learning about the people's journey together in this torn part of the world, especially the children and their shared academic experience; this is awesome as a new paradigm shift in understanding each other through the nuance of youth, education, and the future.
The musician was the most insightful voice of this whole documentary. If more people thought like him they might actually find a solution.

This channel is totally biased look at 13:30 he blames kids committing suicide for Islam being the fault of Israel somehow, and then the narrator backs up his "oppressed state" and blames it on Israel and the USA...

No one else is telling kids to go blow themselves up for "the cause" and for their religion, besides the Muslims and Islam. How is this not blatantly obvious? Also he talks about the kids singing songs about it, wow, normal culture would tell the kids that is not okay, instead the Muslim culture blames it on other people claiming they are oppressed, and DW narrator backs them up afterwards.

The conflict is because of superiority claim of each of the three local historical religions. In India, in Ellora Cave temple, idols of Hindu, Buddha & Jain are all in the same temple, people respecting others' faith as much as theirs.

I have long pondered on what constitutes this so called religion that is sitting on the head of my Tamizh people and have come up with some conclusions ....
The priest from the Zoroastrian religion came to india with their Avestan language and fire rituals and later created some slogans in old Sanskrit to form the Vedas which was never written down.
These priest learnt the principles of the Samana tradition that originated in the southern part of the sub continent namely in the Tamizh tradition and started incorporating it into their already existent vaiteegam rituals and produced the Upanishads and became vegetarians.
For a solid philosophical footing which they needed in a highly philosophical Tamizh infused land about the 8th century Adi Sankara came up with Advaita logic that distorted the original Buddhist thoughts and produced a dichotomical nonsense which did not last the test of time.
Later they took up the Tantric Samana Tamizh tradition and put forth the bakti religiosity. This they took also from the Christian tradition and desperately created for the Islamic onslaught. Bakti was based on erotism and appealed to the masses. The high Samana tantric philosophical basis was ruined for the newly conjectured 'Hindu' religion of the wretched puranic tales.
This is the history of the Priestly class(Brahmins) that still retain their priesthood in the agamic temples that held sway through the bakti movement from the 10th century onwards. The consecutive non-Tamizh rulers firmly rooted the new found 'Hindu' religion with its caste system( the four varnas) that the British gave the final seal to....
I can see that the artist is really hurt living in Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He seemed really tired and pained and i felt it.
I hope and pray that the peace will descend in the land, and the people will learn to share the present and future together.

Yeahh, as a person with no strong opinion on this particular issue, that seemed strange to me. As I’m learning more about this conflict, it doesn’t surprise me americans tend to agree with the Israeli people, they also came to a new land and quickly started to forget there were people there before them.
