BALL VALVE BASICS

This is the story of ball valves. This is a versatile piece of equipment, it is used positive isolation flow through piping. It is also used for diverting flow of fluid from one piping to other piping, It is also used for mixing of fluids coming from two different piping. Ball valves are categorized as end connections like threaded, socket weld, butt weld, clamp type and flanged one. As per body designs they are classified in 1 piece,2 piece and 3 piece body construction. They are also available in 3 port and 4 port construction in L pattern and T pattern flow configuration
