▶️Introduction
The valve used in the video is a globe valve with a rising stem. All valves are used to start, stop and regulate (throttle) flow. We briefly discuss the concepts of pressure drop in the video. The valve parts discussed in the video are:
Disc
Seat
Body
Flange
Stem
Packing Gland
Gland Bush
Gland Follower
Actuator
Bonnet
We discuss each of the valve's main components and how they work. This video is ideal for anyone interested in process valves, control valves, oil and gas industry, industrial engineering or mechanical engineering. By the end of this video, you should know what the disc, bonnet, seat, body etc. look like and what their purpose is within the valve.

Oh this brings back memories of my pattern making days, It was a great profession , studying the blue print, making the layout and began the construction. I'm now 75 years old. thanks for sharing the videos. John H.
Nothing better than this video
Very nice explanation. Thank you very much. Please do more videos as much as you can if possible so we can learn things about engineering more clearly.
Great explanation! Thank you!
Very lucidly and beautifully explained...plz bring more videos on marine equipments like....alternator, purifier, oily water separator, incinerator, differnt motors &other aux machineries...the way u sir demonstrated was very good for beginers ....
Well Explained about valves. Excellent
Thank you so much and well explained
Very detailed explanation. Very useful. Thank you
So informative! thank you.
Best video i found so far !
Wonderful job . Thanks a lot for your sharing .
That 3D animation is the future.
Best explanation ever.
Very nicely done
The best explaination ever!!
excellent videos, and very good voice for my students
Great job, thanks bro
Appreciate the video bro! Really informative
“Valve music plays in the distance”
Sir you have delivered great explanation want you to cover more valves 👍
See the description of the video, there are links to other videos about different kinds of valves
Excellenly explained
Please note that, by the looks, the stem has got a right handed screw thread on it. Hence for the clockwise rotation of the handwheel or the sleeve nut, the stem has to move upwards rather than downwards as shown it the video. Please check that out.
Thank you.

Thanks!
nice video
excellent
Nice one
awesome
excellent!!!

@@savree-3d Thanks for the link. Will definitely consider.
Awesome!!
I just want to know what is the software that you use? and if this software only for explaining and viewing or you can design in it? Thank you
this is Gold! Thanks a lot
Would love to see a valve function in an example like water inside and working it clos and open
Hi John, what is the best valve to be used in Lime & Magox Slurry application? I know you mentioned the Pinch valve but the sleeve is failing always and causing safety issues. Thanks!
Have you considered a diaphram valve?
Hi! im sorry for ask how you an solve a problem of a passing valve? thanks!
Dear Sir,
Please upload one video on distillation column along with its internal parts for better understanding..
What program are you using to visualize those parts?
Amazing.
Thanks!
Marvelus
cool
is it just me or is the stem's screw on backwards? All of the valves I've seen with a screw which goes through the actuator and not attached directly to it seem to go the other way. If the actuator is engaging the screw on that valve, it seems like turning it clockwise should push it up.
જય સ્વામિનારાયણ..... 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹👌👌👌👌👌👌👌....,
Different types of compressor please
Great video lol but i think it’s “lefty loosey “ as in loose
ha ha, true!
I have one which cannot produce a half life. Which part is it missing?
any chance you could go into more detail about exactly how a stem nut works. I can't get my head around how the design of valves allows them to be a rising or non rising stem type.
HL3 CONFIRMED!!!
I want to question, what's the name of software engineer using ?
I think it is Rivit
Why doesn't the video show why globe valve is globe valve because it's so easy to confuse ball valve with that.
Now I understand why the Valve can't pull out Half Life 3
Hello mashine shop services 24/7
