Could just be me nerding out but I love how this series endings (this more so than ror2) and monster logs spend a lot of effort to paint your character as a regretful person, that they second guess themselves over whether they're justified for their actions. Because the reality is you technically are the bad guy, dropping down on a planet, massacring its inhabitants and killing their god, though it's all out of fear and self defense. It's not really too much to go on about, I just think it's interesting how much world building is given to the player as a reward for harming said world.

The thing I love about ror 1 logbooks is that they are written by a survivor (probably commando), and reading his thoughts on monsters he saw along the way ads so much to this. I would love to see this story in animated version

I think the worse we’ve seen so far is void fiends ending. Not only does it do everything you mention on it’s way through the game, it’s heavily implied through the final message and logs that it continues it’s rampage post-escape, forever spreading the corruption of the void.
