- Hello and welcome to Train Simulator 2022!
In this video we'll be taking a look at the recently released Class 185 DMU by Imbue Studios and Alan Thomson Simulation. The unit comes in a variety of striking liveries, however today we'll be using the brightest one of all, Dynamic Lines.
In this mini series we'll be taking an (almost) full drive across the Pennines, from Middlesbrough all the way down to Liverpool Lime St. We'll be replicating a real world service which sadly is no longer operating.
In episode 3, we're back in unit 185 133 driving between Huddersfield and Manchester Piccadilly. It's a grey morning and the windscreen wipers have had to be broken out due to the torrential rain! We're calling at Stalybridge en route, and traffic is fairly light, with the exception of a bit of congestion in the Manchester Piccadilly area which is to be expected.

I used to ride from Stalybridge to Manchester, and the return to Hfld. back home, remember this service!
the m60 bridge had to be custom made for that section as did the OHLE I do the run between Piccadilly and flowery field and it is a lovely stretch of line and at the moment during the week the northern stopper runs fast between guide bridge and Piccadilly but on a Sunday the 323s stop a Gorton going into Piccadilly and skip it on the way out

It’s odd that in train simulator Leeds to Huddersfield doesn’t exist but in train sim world you can get Leeds all the way to mcv in one route
It’s a shame isn’t it!! Though Leeds to Huddersfield in the modern day would be better 😄

Hi Jack! The 185 does feature some passenger views :)
We don’t have full tpe route atm? we have most of it.
im a freight driver irl, as a passenger guard do u have to know as much route knowledge as a driver?
We’re not required to have the same depth of knowledge as a driver, however we are expected to know maximum permitted line speeds, junctions, viaducts, level crossings and obviously stations, along with a bit more I won’t bore you with 😄
Will you do bus simulator 21 on seaside vally also
soooooo a question.......about the year this is set in....those skyscrapers at Deansgate were completed around 2019/2020.....shouldn't that put the scenario around that same time???
The franchises are different though in 2019/2020, as the era we’re simulating is between 2006 and 2016 😃
Hey Joe, I bought the 185 and route but cannot seem to understand why i cant figure the train out and hat some bits are missing like AP Class....
It’s definitely a “study the manual” as unlike so many of the addons you can’t just jump in and go haha
Correction Sir! There are 4 Tunnels at Standedge as the Disused Tunnel's are Single Bore Tunnels Hence 4 Not 3 Sir

@@JoeDobsongaming lol I didn't realise myself until I watched a video on here of someone walking through them! When driving the route on TS I keep trying to look for Signs of the Junction where the Micklehurst loop came off but as per I keep Missing it well either that or it's no longer there lol

Does this work on any default train sim routes or does it have to be one from Alan’s store for the announcements
The Class 185 comes with announcements through Alan’s store yes :)

Oh yeah the train can be driven on any of the default train sim routes, but the announcements will only work on routes the 185’s have actually operated on in real life 😄
