I am a big proponent of putter fittings. Everyone has a different stroke that fits (more or less) within one of three categories (hence the three model lineup). That being said, I cannot believe how much I actually love this putter. It's definitely heavier at first but you get used to it REALLY quickly; i think because it becomes a very intuitive feel and it's locked into your hands so well with that big pistol grip. I picked up my old ping anser the other day and i was like how in the f did I ever use this thing. Highly highly recommend.

Tried the Scotty and the omoi 1 side by side and the mizuno was a no brainer. My confidence level is through the roof.

I got rid of my Bettinardi 7 & Cameron Studio Select Newport 2.5 and bought the OMOI #1 blue and it’s better than any blade putter I’ve ever had. I also picked up a M-Craft VI in Blue. I like to have a blade & a mallet to switch when one putter goes south on me for a while lol. these are the best putters I’ve ever had. even better than my Bettinardi #7 which up til recently was my favorite of all time

Unlike the fella below, I'm not a big proponent of putter fitting. However, I am a proponent of quality materials and workmanship. Therefore walking away with the Mizuno 01 was an easy decision. A beautiful piece of metal, incredible feeling and admired when the cover comes off. Whenever I think of putting, I think of Jack Nicklaus who's style played a heavy hand in 18 majors. Love my flat stick. Sensational.

Didn't come with weight kit or head cover, the latter would've been nice. The former, lol. Not required. See hole, put ball in hole.

Thank you for a nice review video. I really like the # 3 in blue with that black alignment aid.
I got fitted for an M-Craft 3 last season. Absolutely the best putter I have ever used. Getting fitted was something that I felt I needed. And Mizuno custom didn't disappoint.
If you like a heavy but really well balanced putter, the Mizuno line of putters are the way to go.

Just traded in my Scotty for the OMOI 1 and it’s easily the best decision I’ve made. The weighting of the head feels so much smoother through the putt with the mizuno.

I have just bought an OMOI 2 metal finish, it looks fantastic. the adjustable weights gives you the feeling to have 3 putters instead of one. I had a Ping Karsten with an insert from 2013 that mage me hate inserts, this OMOI 2 is just liberating, the regularity in strokes directions and force is incredible. You instantly feel the weight distribution towards the head. And the price is so low compared to the PLD line from Ping... It's definitely a winner!

I got last year’s model M Craft II for $138 love it has a slight toe hang about 20 degree perfect. And like it better with 13 gram weights. My Scotty Newport 2.5 too much toe hang about 45 degree and my Odyssey Rossie face balanced Mallet just felt like I struggled with swing flow

Just over a year ago I went to the golf store looking for a light weight putter. Went home with a heavy headed Ping putter. I liked the feel and consistency of the heavy putter better. I liked the 01 model overall but loved that black finish on the other putter.

I tried an OMOI 3 after trying a range of different putters, I immediately loved the weight and feel off the face then I looked up and couldn't see the ball as it was in the hole. There was only one thing holding me back from walking out of the pro shop with it. I am going to need to get a loan from the bank or rob one because in Australia they sell for $799 brand new, half of what my clubs cost. 🥺

I just went to my local Golf Store in terms of getting a Mizuno Putter because I just love the Design.... However, the brand was not that important for me, I just wanted a putter that gives me a perfect feel for my stroke and consistency - in all it took me 2 days of testing, in the shop and on real greens, and I left with a Taylormade Spider X

Switched from a Scotty Santa Fe l have had since 1997 into a blue Mizuno M-Craft 6. Always love the look of the blade such as the Omoi 1 but it is so much easier to line up putts with a mallet style.

I liked face balanced mallet for 8 foot and in BUT made for no arc swing path which is really hard on a 20 foot and up putt in fact on 30 foot putts I could be as much as 4 foot off line. So rather use a blade and barely miss a few 7 footers to be able to 2 putt from 40 ft

Are they available to try at Penrith?
I always struggle with a light-headed Putter and much prefer a Putter with a heavy-feeling head, for me they help to keep the stroke smooth and less jerky. The new Putter offerings from Mizuno look typical Mizuno (classic yet understated)👍
I would defo like to try all three to see which would suit me the best, but I suspect that the Mallet Putter in either the satin silver or black would be the final choice👍

Only 34 & 35 but you can get it cut down at local pro shop. You’ve got the extra weights so can always add the heavier ones if it feels a touch light

  • @keegz87

With the moveable weighted putters - is there any logic to having different weights for the toe and heel? I.e if you have an arc type stroke and would like more toe hang you would place the heavier weight in the toe and the lighter weight in the heel. Hope I am making some sense 🙏🏻

    • @MichaelNewtonGolf
      @MichaelNewtonGolf  2 года назад +1

      Yes that is an option

    • @MichaelNewtonGolf

However it would slightly move the CG closer to where the heavier weight is. Therefore the sweet spot moves fractionally
