I was just thinking about this album the other day and how when I first discovered it (and Foxing) back in 2016, the original version of this song in particular broke me. It made me want to go listen to the whole project again for the first time in ages. Now coincidentally this 10 year anniversary has been announced. Hard to think its been a whole decade since its release and that I've been a fan for at least 7 years of that time. As much as I still think Nearer My God is my favourite album they've put out, The Albatross has some of the most emotionally raw and heavy content the band has ever released (and that was very early in their discography too).
I love this song with all my heart and hearing it once again is such a beautiful and emotional thing to me. Thank you so so much Foxing, i hope i can see you at one of your shows.
