The terrifying thing is that the story "Russian Sleep Experiment" partly based on real experiments done by the Japanese. I'm not sure on an experiment that forced people to never sleep - but plenty of lethal and cruel experiments were forced upon "prisoners" in Unit 731. (and let's not forget Japan's horrific prisoner of war camps) Yet today, most people seem to forget that the Japanese were perhaps the most brutal nation during the world war. Yes, I admit, I love Japanese culture, ect. But the things commited during the war are downright disgusting, so to all you weeaboo's/otaku's - your beloved Japan has an incredibly dark past. So true, some of the old "insane asylum" treatments were universally horrific I remember seeing images of one treatment of a girl with her arms tied outwards to the walls. Coolwill 01 actually I heard that it was an urban legend until someone put it into Creepypasta web. I hate Creepypasta, but the story makes somewhat more sense than any of the stories do on there.

Can we be grateful that out of all the creepypastas, we had this masterpiece to knock them out of the park? No creepy monster, no mutilated serial killers, no demon virus, no curse that you have to pass on or die, not even a Lovecraftian god, no, just the horrors of what man can do to each other and the theoretical horror of this type of thing. The Sleep Experiment didn't exist... but there's nothing saying experiments like this existed.
The Russian Sleep Experiment will never not be the best creepypasta to me. It's such good psychological horror, and honestly realistic; for a while I thought it was real. If you're like to hear about a similar experiment that happened in real life, look up the MK-Ultra project. Ironically took place around the same time RSE was written to take place in (the Cold War), essentially human experiments carried out by the U.S. trying to discover a method for mind control.

If you want to ruin your day and see how far human experimentation can go, look it up. I listened to this before I went to university. then I was kinda curious to try a day without sleep or sth. And when you go to uni, you have to do more work than highschool, right? So one day I decided to stay up late cause the deadline is near. It's was the weirdest things I ever been through. I was wide awake with out coffee or tea and the next day when I came to class I was exhausted physically but my mind was still wide awake. I even attend class with perfect attention from start to finish. That whole morning was like my soul separated from my exhausted body. But luckily when I got home I finally started to feel tired and sleepy and i went to sleep for 12hrs straight. It's midnight when I woke up but I managed to sleep again till the next morning. Moral of the story here, fellas: just go to sleep.

***** it's a creepypasta. I haven't read it in ages but it was basically about some scientists putting five guys in a room filled with a gas that prevented them from sleeping. After weeks on end without sleeping, the test subjects start rejecting food given to them and start eating each other or themselves, and they do some other weird shit. When the scientists let them leave, they no longer want to. I'd suggest looking it up for the full story, I don't think it's particularly long.

Can we be grateful that out of all the creepypastas, we had this masterpiece to knock them out of the park? No creepy monster, no mutilated serial killers, no demon virus, no curse that you have to pass on or die, not even a Lovecraftian god, no, just the horrors of what man can do to each other and the theoretical horror of this type of thing. The Sleep Experiment didn't exist... but there's nothing saying experiments like this existed.
The Russian Sleep Experiment will never not be the best creepypasta to me. It's such good psychological horror, and honestly realistic; for a while I thought it was real.
If you're like to hear about a similar experiment that happened in real life, look up the MK-Ultra project. Ironically took place around the same time RSE was written to take place in (the Cold War), essentially human experiments carried out by the U.S. trying to discover a method for mind control.

If you want to ruin your day and see how far human experimentation can go, look it up. Little spoiler, half the experiments weren't even useful, they did it to see what happened- even though it would be completely useless for actual use.
I listened to this before I went to university. then I was kinda curious to try a day without sleep or sth. And when you go to uni, you have to do more work than highschool, right? So one day I decided to stay up late cause the deadline is near. It's was the weirdest things I ever been through. I was wide awake with out coffee or tea and the next day when I came to class I was exhausted physically but my mind was still wide awake. I even attend class with perfect attention from start to finish. That whole morning was like my soul separated from my exhausted body. But luckily when I got home I finally started to feel tired and sleepy and i went to sleep for 12hrs straight. It's midnight when I woke up but I managed to sleep again till the next morning.
Moral of the story here, fellas: just go to sleep.

***** it's a creepypasta. I haven't read it in ages but it was basically about some scientists putting five guys in a room filled with a gas that prevented them from sleeping. After weeks on end without sleeping, the test subjects start rejecting food given to them and start eating each other or themselves, and they do some other weird shit. When the scientists let them leave, they no longer want to. I'd suggest looking it up for the full story, I don't think it's particularly long.

I knew as I saw the title " The Experiment " that this song is based off of the story of the Russian sleep experiment whereas the men ate their own flesh , turned insane and mental . Triggered I knew I was really right , And by the way.. This is indeed another great song ;) .
