Lady played this in glanmire Cork Ireland for me because it's my father's favourite. This video the way they 3 play, the way they sound together brought me str8 back to that nyt in 2009. Absolutely amazing... Up the irish... Proud rebel I am. 🇮🇪🍀🍀🇮🇪

Many years ago as a teenager, I worked in a country pub down in Cork. On Fridays there were trad sessions. There were no speakers or amps - it was background music mainly. But when this tune came on, everyone went quiet and just listened. It’s a hauntingly beautiful tune, even more so when played in this same style.
I’ve been gone out of Ireland since 2008 now, but this version transports needs back in time and place. Thank you.

Just listened to the original by Finbar Furey which is absolutely fantastic, then found your version which is also absolutely fantastic in a much simpler style which I love. Agree with Paul Lavan, you just have to listen to this so many times and then more. I am now facing the challenge of learning this on my tin whistle!!

@@bidbadgray I love this tune and can now play it myself on whistle. Took me five months on and off alongside other new tunes. But this is still my favorite version and the one I used to transcribe and play it.

I love this arrangement, but I dont like the actual whistle she plays. For me it sounds too breathy and wheezy.
