This is my amazing Traditional Irish Music class performing a concert in Sweden, December 2013. The concert was held in our classroom on Visingsö where we studied and played Irish Traditional Music together. Many thanks to our teacher Jennikel Andersson who made this possible. - Видеоклипы
In America: Were having a party. Everyone be sure to bring the beer and chips
In Ireland: Were having a party, everyone remember to bring your instruments.
Ireland: Bring your instruments and beers
for an irish party (a session) you need beer and music.
In Ireland, you don't NEED to tell people to bring the booze...!!
@@ItzDinny for an Irish party all you need is love. Oh and drink helps 😂
I stumpbled across this a year ago, about 3 months ago I bought a flute, at the tender age of 43 years I started playing it. Played a little everyday and today I brought out the sheet music for this and tried playing it. It felt so awsome and I would never have started my journey if it wasn't for this video so. Tack så jättemycket för inspirationen! Mvh Anders
Very best of luck with your music ambitions, it's lovely to read this. Kind regards from Ireland.
Kärlek till Sverige, från Irland 💙
I started at the tender age of 56! I am an empty nester so I have some time now .
So, you find music and play it on whistle?
How goes the music journey? I am an adult learner as well, 51.
My Mother was born on Inishere, I spent 6 weeks every Summer there, happiest days of my life ❤
My parents were born in Mallow Co Cork - I spent 6 weeks every Summer there, happiest days of my life ❤❤
This was one of my first Irish airs that I learned on my Killarney brass whistle in the key of D. A very pretty and graceful song.
I got the same whistle, best High D I've ever had
Love love Ireland...i'm italian.
Awesome...Pure Celtic Gold..what a soul stirring sound
How glorious were the ancient ones! How much beauty they left behind! Let us never forget 😊
A year later, tears still stream down my face listening to this on St. Patricks Day, thinking of my grandparents from Ireland... Kilmovee, Co Mayo. God Bless the Irish. I’m so lucky to have such rich heritage. Now that they’re all gone, music like this brings them back in my heart.
I'm irish
Nxt door to my mothrs family farm"Barrettes., connammarra. Ireland.
Born 'raised on this music. Cant beat it'👍🏽
Remembering my ancestors from County Cork, with a tear in my eye. Thank You.
Just so beautiful to listen to this you just want to sit back and have a nice drink and think about the good old days 🎵🎶🇮🇪🥃🍻😍👍
What a beautiful gathering and respect for a grand culture. Respect form a doire man born in 1963 and seen so much wrong. Keep our culture and traditions alive. Respect.
Long live Ireland! Hello from Russia!
We are both “American”. My wife is of Swedish descent, and my family comes from Ireland. Love seeing this sort of thing. Irish cheer is international.
Beautiful thank you from the frozen north of Canada!
Lovely young people ! God Bless Ireland and Sweden! 😻🙏🏼❤️🇨🇦
I didn't realize at first that this group was Swedish, they sound so authentically Irish! Beautiful!
kind of look Irish too even.
@@johnp556 Scandinavian Vikings ruled there and even founded Dublin. Their DNA is intertwined
@@johnp556 We all came outa the same place originally, all twelve tribes of us 😉

Cathal Ó Diubháin ...yes brother your right with that...Brendan the Voyager...Slainte fro Australia.🌈
This is literally the best inisheer i've ever heard. ❤❤
For those who like Irish traditional music and want to hear more, try the Chieftains, the Dubliners, Planxty, the Bothy band or Clannad. Only to name a few! ☘️
Oh, now, don't forget the High Kings, the Irish Rovers, and Celtic Woman.
@@sofiyavyshnya6723 The High Kings are my favorite band. There are so many great Celtic artists out there who aren't in bands too! Julie Fowlis, Norman Mckinnon to name a few.
@@odeath884 That is true! I love all the artists you named.
James Carroll, the Irish traditional musicians/bands you mentioned are of a past generation, and rarely play the tour circuit. Christy Moore, Donal Lunney and Andy Irvine formerly of Planxty rarely play/sing these days. Half the original Dubliners have passed on. Of the bands mentioned I think the lovely under appreciated Moya Brennan formerly of Clannad has had a music revival, therefore still performs. Indeed for that matter the trad groups/singers that succeeded the bands you mentioned are probably close to retiring.
The very good news is that there has been and continues to be an enormous revival in Irish music and Irish writing since the 2008 Celtic Tiger recession.
@@jamesdolan4042 Indeed many of the greats I mentioned are dead, but nonetheless the fact they aren't around to tour doesn't make them irrelevant. What they have left behind is a true credit to them all and to Irish folk/Trad. Daoirí Farrell is one of the best modern day ballad singers, akin to Luke Kelly in having a phenomenal and powerful voice for a song, just to name one
The Beauty of this group made me, smile, Cry, and Hope for Culture and Beauty in our World ...
True, my friend
amen
What a pleasant surprise.
Marvelous.
I listened to it three times over, still couldn't encompass the capture.
The flute. Its notes has the quality of infinity. Yet, too high a pitch.
Glory to the people of Ireland.
Their traditional music is astounding.
I am bewildered in awe.
I can't help but relate this to Scandinavian folk music, and also Celtic music from Spain. Being descent from the Basque, I found it very familiar. We may speak different languages and have different skin/hair color but it seems that we share a common Celtic culture. Congratulations! Love from Argentina.
I thought the Basques were descended from the people in Europe before the Celts and other Indo-Europeans arrived.
@@thomasacreman6007 Basque and Irish exact same DNA they found out in a study a while back.
but i know a lot of very fair Vascos! and Gallegos are very fair....
This sound reaches the soul not a doubt. Love Irish songs and dance, Greetings from São Paulo, Brazil !!

This music 🎶 grabs your soul. Iam blessed to full blooded Irish American, and proud of my heritage. 🇺🇲🇮🇪🇺🇲🇮🇪🇺🇲🇮🇪🇺🇲🇮🇪🍀🍀🍀
This song brings me back to all the ceolthas sessions after school and the school performances. I have always loved this tune and it was one of my favorites to play
I'm Croatian i Love Irish music Irish People and Ireland i'm 54 yo i don't know why but i have always Irish music and Ireland in my Head and i love that love IRELAND Forever and always.
As a full blooded Irishman in the USA, and a performance musician for most of my life, acoustic music reaches the innermost cavity of the human experience. Acoustic music touches the infaimed from Dementia or Alzheimer's, to the young and old. Music is a spiritual gift and when shared God's people are blessed. Great performance here. Bravo!
I really love everything related to Ireland, and, especially, their beautiful and pleasant music.
Thank you for this beautiful song. It made me break down in tears thinking of all of my family who are now gone. I lost my mom in February. Her parents were from County Mayo. This music brought me back to younger times when we would visit my grandparents in the Catskills where nothing but Irish music was played. Grandma dancing with her apron on and grandpa clapping his hands while he smoked his pipe. Such wonderful memories. Thank you.
that sounds so lovely dear god
Much love and power to you!
It's in your blood my friend
Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Lovely story. My own mother was Co.Mayo.
Sorry for your loss my friend I to lost my father in 2011 and my wife of 36 years in 2018 May the music bring you happiness & peace 🍻
Absolutely beautiful music! After living in Ireland for 2 yrs and Im getting love this country more & more......
I am of Irish heritage and an Irish Fiddler, I have watched four of your jam session videos and just love all of them (Britches Full of Stitches, others). I wish I could join your Jam Session, but you are all over in Sweden. Since this is four years old, I am sure all of these fine young people are gone now. Thank you for your lovely music.
Still runs deep, the sounds are in my blood.. two family members sent to Australia from Tipperary in 1860's, rest of family followed afterwards never to see home again..
Imagine saying good bye to the fields of your childhood forever? Goodbye to Oola.. Pallasgreen.. the graves at the base of Nicher Hill. My family is from outside that area. Ryans as well many of them
I can't stop myself listening this again and again........ I'm in love with this one
Wish it never has to end.
Love from Ireland 🇮🇪💚
Very lovely. Can just imagine a young Irish dancer standing on their toes dancing to this beautiful song.
Keep this alive, Ireland. Do not let yourselves be persuaded to let it die. It is too precious.
It's a beautiful night in Missouri, the moon bright in the night. This music just carries you up with the stars as you watch clouds waltzing across the face of the moon.
I’m a fan of Irish music ♥️☘️
What a wonderful music! I'm from Italy.
I can't stop listening this music
Hello Italy from Ireland
Love and kindest of regards
Irish music just does it every time. An mhaith!
Inisheer is one of my favourite places in the world, there's something magical about it.
Don't cry for me Argentina 💪🦁👑
I feel a connection with Irish music and im an African American woman that loves Ireland roots and traditions oh and the instruments absolutely beautiful. My daughter loves this particular song also 💗💗💗
I hopre you get to visit Ireland it is a grand & beautifl place
I met a beautiful black Frenchman in Cork City. He lives there, knows the musicians, and plays guitar & sings himself. He sang "City of New Orleans" in French & it was so great. I have always loved that song. He also sang in English and was quite talented.
You might have a little Irish in your ancestry that you're not aware of.
My daughter calls me the language police. You should say a woman "who" loves not "that" loves....." Who" refers to a person; "that" refers to an object. Anyway I am an Irish-Italian woman with a black daughter. We both love Irish music and Irish people, and the beautiful country of Ireland. I took my daughter there twice and i have been 7 times. I also took my son & he loved Ireland as well as the music.
come and see us
Love the Irish music and the people!💕
A very pretty tune, this was one of my first soft tunes to learn. The best way to learn a tune is like getting better acquainted with your girlfriend, have to just listen, and more listening everything else will intuetivly come later with the ornaments,Such a beautiful song...
J'adore le folklore Irlandais et la musique Irlandaise , c'est trop beau ça me plaît !! 👍👌👏🎻
Je n'aurais pas dit mieux 😊
My family buried my father and this tune was played in the middle of the mass - RIP John Mulrooney 9/12/1930 - 15/9/2018 - i am immensely proud of you Dad. An unworthy son!
When a parent passes, you can still become worthy as you carry on. So don't beat yourself up Jim M.

The music paints a picture in my mind of what it's like to see the Irish countryside. Much love from America!!
🇮🇪🇮🇪 Im here in Co Cork🇲🇦 on a sunny Irish day listening to this looking on to lush green fields bird's .rabbit's and all kind's of wildlife everywhere to be seen.....so you are right it matches beautifully 😊👍🇮🇪🇮🇪
For anyone unclear on it, this lovely tune is ‘Inisheer’ (Inis Oírr) by accordionist Thomas Walsh. Inisheer is the name of a small island in Ireland’s Galway Bay.
During a round trip to Ireland I made a Day-Trip to Inishmore. Best "fish n' chips" ever 👍. Weather very, very bad (stormy with the ferry) 🤮.
Celtic touch. So special. Lovely to listen to the youth carry the flame on to future generations. This is classic Irish folk music.
Made my proud Irish heart full and my Irish eyes to fill with tears of pride .. go raibh maith agaibh xx
Love listening to this every year coming up to st. Patrick's Day and for the 364 days after it 🇮🇪🇮🇪
Watched this video many times, love it! Great to see these young musicians carry on the tradition of this beautiful Irish music. Cheers from Canada.
It's beautiful music like this that got me into Irish dancing. I love Irish music and this is so beautifully played.
_The composer of this tune Thomas Walsh is a friend and I have often sung with him at sessions. A beautiful melody no doubt_
This was beautiful to hear. Good honest Irish music at its best played from the heart and with passion. Thanks for posting.

umchazinhoquente My trad group plays this song often , we are ages 9-15 (I’m 13 and play the fiddle, flute, mandolin and Tin whistle)
A descendant of County Mayo checking in. To me, listening to music such as this is like hearing the calling of an ancient and noble voice echoing through the corridors of time. Many thanks to these fine and talented Swedish students for doing such a grand job.
