As an Irishman, seeing Japanese musicians, whose musical culture I love, play the music of my country, it fills my heart with joy. Inis Oírr was the first piece of music to make me cry because of sheer beauty, and I've been singing the butterfly all day today while walking through Dublin city. To then find this is a blessing. Go raibh míle, míle maith agaibh!
WHY wasn't this recommended to me years ago.. It is so so beautiful, even more so when being appreciated and played with such feeding, such emotion by a fellow beautiful culture. There are rare moments, very rare moments when you are witness to somethng beautiful, indescribable beyond words. For me this sone of those precious moments. This is going on and staying on my playlist. Thank you so much for this wonderful surprise.
My father transcribed Inisheer to sheet music for me from a long forgotten CD of Irish music. I was probably 9, and had been playing bluegrass and Irish fiddle for a few years. 25 years later it is still my favorite song. I lost it for a while, and when I found it again it was here. Far better than I'd ever heard it. Just amazing. Truly a beautiful, and nostalgic set.
I've learned all these five tunes with my fiddle teacher in Dublin! I love all of them, especially inisher, butterfly, and the congress reel. I wish I could play half as well one day
Nice 'classical' performance of these beautiful Irish tunes...although I'd never play The Congress Reel that fast! I'd like to point out that although you've listed these as 'traditional' tunes, they are contemporary compositions. 'The Butterfly' slipjig was written by Dublin fiddler Tommy Potts (1912-1988), and Inisheer was composed by Thomas Walsh, a great accordion player who lives in Dunboyne, and is a friend of mine. Here's hoping you'll give proper credit to Thomas Walsh in particular. Many people who perform his awesome tune 'Inisheer' do not realize who wrote it or that they need proper licensing from his publishing company, etc. It sounds as though it has been around for centuries, doesn't it?!
I Heard A Summer Swan Call On The Stillness Of The Air I Heard A Blackbirds Song Then I Knew That You Were Near My Heart So Long Alone It Took My Souls Alone To Hear All The Hunger Of My Life Was Just To Know That You Are Near. Just The First Verse Of A Lyric Which I Wrote As My Own Response To This Beautiful Music.
El último es Congress Reel. Pero no me gusta tanto la manera de la que presentaron esta canción. Fue demasiado rápido para mi. Todas las otras me parecen maravillosas
I really wanted to hear the entire symphony play Inisheer. I have found it is ALWAYS underdone. Unfortunately, it remains so. Still lovely, but criminal lack of use of the entire ensemble.

Best rendition of Inis Oírr I have ever heard well done
Had this for my wedding as walked up the aisle. Such a beautiful and emotive piece of music magnificently played :)
Ah ,so beautiful .Im so proud to be Irish and proud of you all
I noticed this video had disappeared from RUclips for a while. Glad to see it's back.
I was also relieved to see it back on RUclips. This is the version that I play on the violin, and always love hearing this version of Inisheer.
So... I think... Inisheer 0.00, The Butterfly 2.16, Drowsy Maggie 3.56, Cooley's reel 4.49 then the Congress Reel 5.30. Any others agree?

Great info
Beautiful music! Thomas Walsh is also a friend of mine. We've played music a bit together. A wonderful person and gifted musician. Yvon
Tell Thomas that he wrote the most beautiful Irish song of all time, and that I thank him for it

Brabizimo
Qué lindo! Gracias!!
I’ve seen this and is perfect
Omg that first harmony in Innisheer 😭.
awesome!
Bit of Japanese's vibrato on Inishsheer.. now isn't that itself amazing
Alguien puede decirme el título de todas las canciones que tan maravillosamente mezcla Takehiro en este vídeo?
Gracias

class
Sorry, I don't think that the last tune at 5:30 is The Congress reel. It's rather "Mulqueen's reel" also know as "Free and Easy".
happy dance!
Those two lads get it!
This is so beautiful, but don't forget Martih Hayes version
💚
Wow!
功刀丈弘さん、かっこええー
Awe Some More ;-)
ラストの曲はなんていう曲なんでしょう?
What is the name of the tunes? I knew the first 2.
Name of the fourth tune, Congress Reel, is shown below
3rd. The Swallowtail
I thought the third tune was Drowsy Maggie
@@cindyribet7641 I believe it is too.
Who is the other soloist?
Absolutely brilliant 👏 👌. How comes the Japanese can play this better than the Irish 😅
Obviously you are a Brit or a yank.
Pipe down, the Irish invented it. Nuff said. Less of your racist comments please. You tool.
Obviously you are a Brit or a yank. It was the Irish who created these tunes. Keep your racist comments to yourself. Tool!

Who is the other violinist?
Larry Murphy
😅
Great but please don’t classicify it with too much vibrato.
