My favorite classic car. I live en grew up in the Netherlands nearby Amsterdam, and in my youth it was a normal sight on the road these cars. I ones owned a Citroen CX, but the DS will always be my favorite. This one however is in a beautifull shape, and i am in love with the blue color. And offcourse the two-tone roof.
The Most Comfortable car i have ever Driven, was lucky enough to drive DS 21 in 1973 brand new, from London to Manchester & back & i was 21 years old & till this day nothing has come near its comfort. With its Stunning Interior and smooth ride Headlights that turn when you turn around corners, just absolutely Fabulous Car, & you don't need to jack it up to change a wheel. Stunning.

So true. There is no other car in the world with a more comfortable suspension and ride! (Except some Rolls Royce and Mercedes models which had the hydropneumatic suspension system under license from Citroen!)

Fun facts. The DS/ID cars have the fuel tank under the rear seat. The later DS 23 Pallas cars have self closing front doors, the rear doors are not self closing. The DS23 Pallas have two sets of horns , a normal set of twin horns, and a set of Italian Fiamm air horns. Pulling the horn lever towards you actuates the normal horns, pulling the lever all the way actuates both sets of horns .

Une ode à la DS, une déclaration d’amour mieux que toutes les pubs du monde. Il y a toujours eu des Ds dans ma famille. Mon père, 3 dont une de 1957 (liquide rouge qui pissait), puis moi-même 4 dont la dernière une 23 IE de 1974, extraordinaire voiture, jamais eu mieux. Actuellement aux mains d’un collectionneur célèbre, restaurée comme neuve. Et maintenant mon fils qui les collectionne!
Did you know that, with the hood open, for example for an engine inspection, you did not need to return to the passenger compartment to start. A starter was next to the battery! Practical during mechanical interventions! Savez-vous que sur les modèles à double phares, les longues portées tournaient avec les roues, éclairant l’intérieur des virages!!

What engine oil you used? Too much noise indicates bad lubrication..I can help you to reduce the noise , extend engine life, reduce emissions and save ⛽️
I dont get this. You can buy a Fort T wreck, drop a semi engine in it, shop the roof off and lower the suspension to the point it sparks when you drive on the flattest highway and it's road legal somehow. But french road legal lights? Non monsieur!
Always loved the design and the comfort of the DS21, but the build quality was horrible. Blue and red are a perfect colour scheme for this innovative car from the mid 1950s. Good luck!
It has no clutch pedal. But two idle-rev-speeds. If you press the brake the revs drop to 800 rpm. With released brake it revs at 1000 rpm. The clutch starts to get in contact and to slip a little. The car begins to roll. If the rev gets higher the clutch closes more. Nice and easy to drive if everything is maintained perfectly. If not - ...
The suspension spheres is not original (at least not at the front). Should be of the old, divisible type, not the sealed CX-type! A bit slow on raising. And the rear end should raise first, not the front!
Brake- and tail-lights in the same lamp. Not very good. The original french/european arrangement with separate brake- and tail-lamps is much better, and safer!
Et tu fus sublimée en coupes et cabriolets CHAPRON version 1 et 2 phares ronds et phares tournants trois chefs d'œuvre aussi belles les unes que les autres meme si je préfère le DANDY série 2!!!!!!!les autres sont aussi magnifiques ....Peuple , à genoux ,laissez passer la déesse .....il n'y en a qu'une .....rien avant ....rien après .....

I had a DS21. The police used to write fines by claiming that the brake pedal had too much travel. They were stumped when they saw the rubber ball.

What's the paint name? Looks like it's non-OEM. Seems to be a darker Delta Blue.
