- OPEN ME!: The first weekend of NaNoWriMo was overwhelming, but in a good way? Lol. I'm feeling so overwhelmed with ideas and excitement for this project. It's so different from anything I've done. This vlog ended up being a bit of a chatty ramble through me trying to make sense of this project and the million questions swirling around in my head right now. I hope you enjoy! :) xx

I’m really enjoying myself with nano. I’ve made so many excuses to not write a story, that now that I’m finally sitting down and working on one it feels great. And I’m realizing the story is coming along so much easier than my fears thought. Really glad I chose to do my first nano this year. It was the push I needed to finally start. Not sure if I’ll make the goal, but enjoying myself nonetheless.
I'm so glad you're having fun during NaNo so far! So am I. :) It's felt very different this year. And don't worry about making the goal, as long as you're enjoying yourself and working on your project, that's all that matters.
We'd love to watch a sunrise hike for Vlogmas ;)

NaNoWriMo's going much better for me this year, but I've changed the plot three times already, revised character names and histories twice, swapped backstories between the main characters once-then changed them back. 🤪 And here I thought I did a lot during Preptober. My ADHD had other ideas, my meds are trying to rein her in.
Sometimes despite our best prep efforts the writing just takes us in different directions. And you have to try different things to see what works. I'm glad you feel like it's going well for you overall! Having fun and enjoying your project is the most important thing.
I'm currently watching nothing but Nano vlogs and chicken videos right now as we are planning to get our first flock in the spring. It's like...here, let me just research this to death! lol
Btw..your project sounds exciting.
Oh my gosh, if I ever got into having my own chickens I'd be watching so many videos first! That sounds exciting though!

I'm not excited or overwhelmed by my project. I'm just tired, which is making me not want to write all that much because my brain would rather turn off. Tonight, for example, I've decided to call it an end to the writing so that I can go to bed and actually get some sleep rather than staying up far too late last night just to try and hit the word count goal.
I totally relate to just being tired. I think going to sleep and not writing late just to hit a word count goal is a good plan. :)
