Thank you so much for this video!! This is my dad & when he told me he was going to be on your channel I was so excited for him! Your videos are awesome & I appreciate you giving a shout out to the big yellow truck that cruises the roads!!
Chris thank you so much for this, It was such a good time! So many family and friends have loved this! Thank you to all the people that commented and liked it. It's been such an honor. And thank you to all you truck drivers that keep this country moving.
Amazing! This truck sat right next door to our house every time the neighbors were home. I was so happy when I found out Brian would keep it rolling. I still see it parked in town when he is around. So cool!
Hi I was trucking right around that time 1990s cost to cost produce mostly CA to Hunts Point NY or Boston MA mostly running I80 .I still remember that wonderfull place. called Dude's steakhouse in Sydney NE. Super nice steaks my mouth water just remembering that. I'm retired now but always looking at those trailer lights wondering where they heading to. I had a great time while trucking, whishing you guys all the best and be safe out there.
I used to haul swinging meat out of Omaha to New York, Boston, Philly, etc. in the 70’s. I drove a Chevy Titan cabover, pulling a 40’ reefer. Life was altogether different back then.
I remember back in the 70s when Sunflower Packing owned Sunflower Carriers who hauled swinging beef from York NE to NYC. I was told that hauling swinging beef was an acquired skill, something like pulling tankers with a liquid load. Sunflower Carriers was later merged into Crete Carrier Corp. I don’t see them anymore, but I’m in Tennessee now, and the CCC units are still common.
@ Crete discontinued Sunflower. Duane Acklie didn’t want to run a packing plant. Crete also merged with Schaeffer out of New Kingston, Pa. They have both names on the truck door now. I drove for Crete for 5 years in the 90’s. Crete also owns Hunt Trans. out of Omaha, not J.B. Hunt, it’s a flatbed company and they’re operated as a completely separate company. I started out in the 70’s hauling swinging beef out of Omaha to the east coast, with Midwest Refrigerated Express.
Sharp looking rig. Funny I have my fathers 69 corvette hood in my truck right now painted the same yellow. He got rid of the car about 50 years ago. About as long as he has been driving a log truck.
I am in Australia. An uncle drove for Grey Hound buses for many years. They had GM 2 stroke diesels in some buses. At 1 million miles they pulled a couple of motors down, not to see what was wrong, but why they were still running. Honed the bore lightly, new standard rings, new bearings. Off they went again. They never stopped, Sydney to Brisbane and return. Fuel up and quick clean and gone again.
I Seen That Cattle Cruzer not long ago. I Unloaded with him also awhile back . Cleveland Tennessee Waivin a Hand 👋. Let him know to get off in Cleveland if he's coming down 75 and run down Tennessee Highway 60 Georgia 71 back road to Dalton . Goes Right by my house and he misses all the Chattanooga Bologna Soup and Miss the Ringgold Ga Chicken Coops also
Hi. I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful man with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌺🌺🌺
This guy hauls meat to Florida to be tested and sanitized and then hauled back to the Midwest just seems like an extreme amount of wasted fuel and time! What ever happened to survival of the fittest 😂
