California is literally the most overtaxed, highest priced state to live in. People have been leaving in droves.
Hawaii is more expensive and I'm fine with people leaving CA. The reason it's expensive is because so many people WANT to live here that demand on real estate drove the prices up. Taxes have very little to do with it. What I pay in income tax here, I'd be paying in higher property taxes and insurance in Florida, a "cheap" state.

I’m not surprised. Even small businesses like us wish we could move out of California due to its anti business stances. I hate to admit that I was an enabler as I have supported the Democrats for years but my family and I have left the Democratic Party last year and will be voting independently going forward.

How it the price of energy in CA? One of the highest in the nation. CA outsources allot of its power generation due to CA regulations making it too expensive to produce there. CA is a nightmare place to run a business, that is why everyone is leaving.
California buys 30% of its electricity from other states. California democrats haven't built a new power plant in over 20 years. California imports 90% of its natural gas from other states. Californians shouldn't be looking down their noses at anyone because they are completely dependent on other states for their power needs and pay the highest rates in the country for them.
Doesn’t California have rolling blackouts? Don’t charge your electric car in the afternoon, scout. It might overwhelm the grid!

I’m a life long Texan. Republicans have screwed our state up against Texans. They have made everything in Texas worst for 30 years. Texas cost just as much as New York except instead of a state income tax. They take it in 30% less wages, average realestate taxes of 14,000 to 25,000 a year, they have made all public highways in tow roads. Which they keep raising the price every quarter. We have gasoline being made right here in our state and we’re still paying high gasoline prices. Utilities went from a public utility to a private profit center. I’ve seen utilities go from 30 a month to 120 for gas, water go from 40 to 200 to 220 a month and we are now restricted to watering grass once a week, electricity went from 85 to 120 to the outrageous price of 675 to 1200 a month. If you rent an apartment they have no limit as to what they can charge. The average is 2,000 to 2,400 one bedroom and 3,000 to 4,000 for a 2 bedroom. Insurance cost way more now and you can’t hardly get them to repair the damage when you have claim. The difference on utilities is public you payed what it cost, private you pay the cost plus 200% profit.
I’ve lived here my entire life. Republicans are sucking the life out of Texas.

That is true. But unfortunately the insurance costs are higher and because of the hotter climate, AC bills can add up too. Overall I think it is a wash economically. But I may still consider going to Texas for other reasons.

August 10th 2 of my employees are moving to Texas (Currently in California. I have 22 Employees). These 2 have been with me since I was merely an employee for another company, and we all got fired, but I had already secured purchasing the business assets, and keeping 5 employees as the old owner Moved his Company to Idaho. They asked me if they move to Texas can I support them so they can expand the company there? I told them yes, not expecting they would both follow through.
My Insurance cost in California went up $8k per month this month. I can't afford these Liabilities in California.
