      Thanks Rick! I'm not stressed about it, if more people like you like the video, subscribe to our channel, and (bonus points) click on the bell icon then the channel will keep growing! We're just trying to put content out there that 1) will empower and encourage people take the first or next step into model rocketry and 2) create content the MR community can be proud of!

    I wrapped the parachute too much on a slow fold and the parachute didn’t even deploy lol
    Luckily I was only using an A8-3 engine and the rocket wasn’t that high up. I think I’ll launch it again for 4th of July

    Thanks for the "fast fold" method. Was launching in cold weather today with some fails and I think it will help...chute plastic gets very stiff.

    this actually helped me a lot as i've been working on custom model rockets with my 3d printer and cardboard tubes, but the parachutes have always been a problem coming out because the material I used creases very easily, but I will try the fast method you showed instead (:

    When the rocket is launching, will this parachute auto deploys or do we need to do any other thing to deploy the parachute.??.

    Back when I was flying rockets I would cut a round hole in the center of the parachute just like real parachutes have. This would stop the parachute from swinging like a pendulum, and also allow for a straighter descent since it's not swinging all over the place.

    This video was super helpful to me! Also you should do a video on how to launch a model rocket. Keep up the great work!

    BUT HOW WILL THE CONE EJECT AND LET THE PARACHUTE OUT

    • @longbowshooter5291
      @longbowshooter5291 9 месяцев назад

      After the engine burns out there's a short delay and then an ejection charge goes off to blow the nose cone off which pulls the chute out.

    hi i have a question which one ejects better for a b44 slow or fast mostly I use slow

    • @themodelrocket220
      @themodelrocket220  3 года назад

      Either should work great at that size/likely weight. If it's windy I'd use slow so it doesn't drift as far. If it isn't windy I'd use fast to increase hang-time.

      We're hoping at some point in the future to put together a long video about how to do home-made engines. But we would want to bring on a professional, or a scientist, or someone who reallllyyyyyy knows what they're talking about and can teach you exactly how to not blow yourself up doing it!
