BICOL EXPRESS is a popular Filipino dish. It is a spicy food made of pork, chilies, coconut milk, shrimp paste, onion and garlic. Bicol is a region in the Philippines famous for its spicy cuisines. Bicolanos love to eat and cook, they often cook their dishes with coconut milk, a famous product in the region. Bicol Express is named after the passenger train service from Manila to Bicol region.

Ingredients:
1kg Pork Belly
4 cloves of garlic
2 Onions
2 Tomatoes (optional)
Ground pepper
12 pcs Green chili
6 pcs Red chili
2 tbsp Shrimp paste (sauteed)
1 can of coconut milk 400ml
Bicol Express is better served with freshly cooked white rice.

ok lang din naman po pero nkakadagdag po kasi ng lasa ang shrimp paste..use fish sauce nalang po instead of shrimp paste..Thank you for watching 😊

I'm from Toronto but my background is indian. I had this at a Filipino friends place. Trust me! It's amazing, his mom made it extra spicy for me too. Yummmm

I did this and my brother told me that it was the best Bicol Express he had ever eaten in his life. For my shrimp paste I used Barrio Fiesta sauteed shrimp paste. 10/10 recipe. Thanks Foodnatics!
