  • This tutorial goes over how to make your own DIY Wooden Hanging Plant Stand. This stand is very sturdy and reliable. It doesn't tip over due to the center of gravity being low. Check out the full written tutorial here on our blog!

Where do you put the hook at? Is there another hidden board in the middle. Or is the hook screwed into one of the 1x6 boards. It looks like the hook is hidden.

The measurement you give seem a little short compared to what is actually shown. The stand in the video looks longer than 16" with a 12" space for the plant.

The space between the two vertical 32 inch 2x4 boards is 12 inches. The base and top pieces are 16 inches long. As you can see in the video, the 2x4's are 1.5 inches wide. With two of those, that would equal 3 inches. So 12 inches plus 3 inches would equal 15 inches with a .5 inch "lip" or hangover bit on either side on the top and front. Which you can clearly see.

We personally wanted the extra little lip on the top and front pieces. If someone does not want that, and wanted it to be flush with the 2x4's, they would then add an inch to the bottom middle 2x4 piece. So a 13 inch piece of 2x4 instead of a 12 inch one.

Lupe Valdez if you go to the link for my blog it has a list of supplies. You are going to want to get whatever drill bit that works with the screws you chose. The blue part is a magnetic drill bit holder by makita. As far as the sound is concerned, Most people watch videos with sound off anyways, I'm pretty limited on choices because I can only use "free to use copyright free music options on RUclips". Thanks for the suggestion though.

@@Craftingwhileadulting I have never intentionally watched a video without sound unless they are annoying like this one. So no, most people do not watch a fucking video without sound! That is like watching a movie or watching music videos without sound!! Fucking moron...
