- Bryan and Cecelia build a hanging plant stand with welcome sign for their front porch. This would also make a great woodworking project to sell or thoughtful gift!

Hey, everyone! What kind of projects have you gotten lined up for spring?
Garden boxes planters whirligigs garden beds
Great looking design
Thank you!
Great job
Thanks for watching. Happy Woodworking!
Good job and project thx for sharing enjoyed it
Thanks for watching!
This is a nice project. I recently added some decals to a couple of wine holders and boxes. I've also considered investing in a Cricut machine. I didn't find a previous video on your RUclips channel that included using the Cricut. I'd be very interested in seeing how you use your Cricut for making decals along with tips and suggestions you have based on your experience. Thanks!
That's a great idea, Dan! I did post a video of how I designed our laundry sign decal but it didn't get much traction. Maybe we will try that, again.
You could also add solar lights to shine on project
That would be a nice addition, Larry. Thanks for the suggestion!
Love it! What size are the pocket holes?
3/8".
When I attached the 24" board with the 33" legs, one of the 33" legs is wobbly even though I installed 3 screws. Anything I'm doing wrong?
What kind of screws did you use?
You want to make sure they have a shank below the head. If you use a screw that is all thread, then they won't screw together tight. Thanks for watching!
You also want to make sure you always use a pocket hole screw in a pocket hole. They have a built-in washer on the head. Other screws have a tapered head and will drive too far into your pocket hole causing it to crack.
Love thos project. How uxh would you sell these for?
Thanks! For our area, we think $75 is a fair price, but we have seen them on Etsy for well over $100. Depends on your market and how much you value your time. If you could get a bulk order or partner with a local store (think hardware or nursery) it might be worth it to batch out 5 or 10 and see how well they sell. Mum season is on its way!
Have y’all had any issues with them turning over? I made my first one today and everyone I showed it to was concerned with the legs being too short. I’m is definitely a good build though. I have three more partially cut out.
That is an interesting question. Ours has been sitting on the porch even through those crazy winds this spring. Our chairs blew all the way across the porch, but the planter stood firm. Thanks for the update and the question 🙂
@@happywoodworking I assembled another one yesterday afternoon and I added 2” to the feet. Definitely like the design.
@@jekjr1957 Awesome!
What type of vinyl did you use for your decal?
Thanks for watching. It was Cricut Permanent Premium Vinyl. Happy Woodworking!
Looks like the one on KIM and GARRETT MAKE IT from 4 years ago. Looks better than the one they made.
Thanks, Karl!
