Great video! Thanks for all the detail, measurements, and such. Most people don't do that.
Thanks and you're welcome
Hi sir! I made this stand with your 'plan' :D I love it. Thank you Dave!
You're welcome
Thanks for the inspiration, Dave!! Great job!
Thanks and you're welcome
I've seen these on Etsy and they are so expensive. Thanks to your video I can now have a go at this. Also, thank you for the detailed instructions. Your instructions are so clear and concise I almost can't mess this up. Cheers!
You're welcome, I used a 2 x 6 on the bottom, found out it works better with a 2 x 8. More stability
Thanks for the idea I gave it to my mom and she loved
Tumblr_ Sierrahqueen You are Welcome
I usually have my husband do these things for me, but this video is so detailed I will take the plunge. Thank you sir for your wonderful and detailed tutorial. It’s beautiful. I’m sure your sister loved it. Definitely inspired me!
Thanks and you're welcome, but use a 2 x 8 for the bottom, instead of 2 x 6. It makes it more stable
Love this! It's by my front door! Thanks Dave!
You're welcome Sis
That's so beautiful! And it didn't look too hard - especially if leaving the wood its natural color. Thanks for the video!
You're welcome

Thank you for your video. I'm in the process of making one now.
Excellent tutorial and detail. I'm ready to have a go at this! Thank you!
You're welcome, I would use a 2 x 10 for the bottom, instead of the 2 x 8. It will make it more stable

Great tutorial Dave!
Thanks
Awesome job!
Thanks
Nice job sir, You help My l lot
Thanks, if you make it, use a 2 x 8 for the bottom, instead of 2 x 6. It will be more stable
You make great videos. Subscribed.
Thanks
nice job... any reason you did not attach the 2x6 to the 2x4 from the bottom?
chadpeace just didn't think about that at the time.
awesome job! It's beautiful : D I know she'll love it
Thanks she did, of course I had to make more
Have you found that this gets top heavy with just a 2x6 at the bottom? Have you had to attach a bigger size to add more base?
Mine has worked ok, but I do agree, a 2 x 8 would be better for the bottom
Hi there-trying this!! What size eye hooks please?
They are 3/4" x 2 1/2" long.
Thank you!!
I went to Menards and they didn’t have any tuba fours. Should I try the Home Depot?
Tuba fer.
are you serious
My menards never has them stocked..I have had to go to the back warehouse and literally cut them to size with a mitre saw myself..on the property...I mean, I don't mind..but there is some pretty dumb people out there that are likely to cut off an arm.
Awesome job! What size screws did you use?
2 1/2" long exterior screws, look in Lowe's or Home Depot for Deck screws
With the Stencil, is it possible to get one made some where to spell out the family name? Also could you have just painted right over the top or is it better to free hand?
There probably is some place online where you could get a custom stencil. I have seen people just paint right over top of the stencil, but every time I do it, it bleeds and doesn't look as good, but that's just me.
Thank you.
