Awesome video. Looks so simple to make these! I'm going to try making a few this weekend. Poplar can look beautiful if you select boards without the green coloring.
Nice beginner woodwork project… but, those glue joints make me nervous. Any end-grain glue joint is week, being notched in will help so glad you include that.
I really like the design but I believe I will modify it a little. I did one that looks like a small stool but I would like to try this design on a smaller scale. Thanks for the video.
Gorgeous. Love both, especially the large one. They are so insanely overpriced in retail stores. Unreal! I want to attempt this. You make it look easy.
Yeah, definitely poplar. We selected some boards that were lighter and had no green since my wife wanted lighter wood. I think Pine or Douglas fir could work just fine too.
Do you have another version of this where a person doesn't have to use a saw? I know people can get wood cut for them at hardware stores. I have a drill and hardware, but I don't have a saw and don't want one. I also have a sander and a Dremel.
A lot of people thing they're really expensive but the basic ones are really budget-friendly. $29.99 at Harbor Freight or $38 at Home Depot for the least expensive ones. If it's within you budget, I think everyone should own a circular saw and a drill. You can do a ton with those two tools.
Great video! My wife now has me making some plant stands, so thanks LOL
Haha! Yup, that's always the danger of seeing new plans :) Hopefully they go quickly for you.
30$ plant stand on Amazon brought me here . I will definetely be making my own .
Thank you for the plans. Love the simplicity.

Those do look very MCM! I think they would suit a minimalist decor too. Nice job, Nils!
Thanks!
LOVE THESE, THANKS FOR THE PLANS AND A CONCISELY HELPFUL VIDEO!
Wow love it. Looks so easy!!!
Fantastic project!
Thanks for the free plans, I think I can do this!!
Sending this to my husband
thats some skill ripping that small piece with a circular saw !!!
Hanging crooked off the edge and everything I was impressed 😂
Really nice!
Thank you
Thanks for the plans! Can you tell me what size router bit you used to knock off the corners? Love that look!
love it, other tutorials require way more tools. This design you can basically du with a regular saw and a chisel.

Totoro!!! 😍😍😍

INSANELY overpriced! A medium sized stand (just in between the two sizes he made) is $25+ at the cheapest! He made his much larger stand for only $9!
@@lblincoe2094 the. Only place I’ve seen them reasonably priced is home goods

Love the design! You said these were poplar though? They look like pine

Pl.give measurements.what is the thickness wooden stick?
Oh my goodness that is such a beautiful view! @6:07 ! What state is this? Those mountains are beautiful!
We live in Utah and it really is beautiful here.

What if you went to your local dollar store and got a hand saw? Then just sand the edges if they not perfect.
no circular saw, would try jigsaw/hacksaw and chisel
Notches = half lap.
Where are the directions trying to figure out how you figured your measurements
Did you see the plans link in the description? It has all of the measurements for everything. Let me know if you don’t see it.
@@LRN2DIY no hun I didn't see it but thanks for the reply 😆 can't wait to have my hubby build a few lol
Yeah ok cool..I'll go get my engineering degree now
Who has those tools & saws in their home🤪
poor laptop getting all that dust everywhere >_
$3 + $$$$ circular saw. 😅 Still a great video though!
If you were to buy this at Home Depot it cost you like $100
Not a basic too. A saw is expensive
yeah sure, basic tools... everyone has a circilar saw at home.
Yeah... don’t have a circular saw 🙄
