Try letting some air out your tyres when travelling on dirt roads. It will soften your ride and the dirt roads will not be as harsh on Trudy. I grew up on The Bluff and still live in Durban. Great videos.

I grew up and this was my norm. I always took it for granted. I live in the US now and your videos make me homesick. I can still smell the air and feel the soil. I try and take a group of friends to SA every 2 years and love to see their reaction. I am blessed to have been raised in SA. Enjoy every moment. I think the best therapy is being in the bush with no cellphone signal and be between the animals. SA is a beautiful couuntey and so diverse for the relatively small land mass.

Just as crazy busy but no honking. I'm just saying that these guys film the true conditions. I actually love seeing all the different places and cultures as they drive through these countries. Yes India was nuts, but it was so amazing to see it.

The thing is you mustn't show you are afraid. And they can tell the difference between men and women. If a man has to walk towards them they will 99% of the time run out of the man's way, but not for women. If women are hiking in the mountains with backpacks they will attempt to see if they can get food out of the backpacks, but not if men are around. One time I had walked away from my car to take pictures and there were other people around and baboons too. When I came back to my car there was a huge baboon on top the car. I just shooed him - he got off my car very quickly and moved off.

Great video, I trust that after this experience you can appreciate my previous comment on your last video 😉where i said, if possible, stay off dirt roads…I do understand that this time round, it was not avoidable. That being said, appreciate how dangerous it was to drive through the game reserve. Getting stuck is real, getting a flat tire is real, lions are real…very real…and you don’t ever want to risk climbing out of your vehicle inside a game reserve. And of course not knowing if another vehicle will come along to assist you in the event things go south. Travel safe and again (where possible) avoid dirt roads.

So I've just discovered you guys on RUclips, this being the second video of yours I've watched. I'm South African, and I'm sure it's been said a ton of times already, but I love experiencing South Africa through fresh eyes. You guys are doing this beautifully! Your delightful fresh awe of the wildlife and scenery is a wonderful reminder of how privileged we are! Love the random details you include in your videos, mostly your interactions with local people.. This being a factor that many RUclipsrs often forget to include. I'm sure by now you've already been thru the Kruger National Park, but if you think the wildlife was impressive in this video... Wait for it!

The monkeys were Baboons. Loving the empty roads and long vistas, just wonderful to drive through the National Parks. Happy you have a few days with your Turkish friends 😊

In Cape Town you can leave your kitchen unattended with the door open otherwise you will have baboons looking for food. Many places along the roads you will get signs, DO NOT FEED BABOONS! for good reason, like don't feed the bear or leave food out that will attract bear in the US and Canada

      @@daveyboy5961Yip, it is correct.

That's absolutely correct. The African big five are wild animals which can be deadly to humans on land. Hippos can be deadly to humans as well but usually in or near water. Also, giraffes are big too but not known to attack humans. Snakes can be deadly but are not big (in Africa -- they can be big in South America which is a different continent).

We went to Ponta in 2016. It was insane beach sand roads from the border. We never saw even a meter of tar after the border. Amazing to see it all tarred now.

Hi. I stumbled across your RUclips channel today while busy working. Oddly enough I am an insurance broker from South Africa and was glad to see that you included that aspect in your videos. Im glad you managed to find cover, as I myself have had some issues getting cover for similar clients, guesse I learned few things as the rules mostly prohibited me from finding suitable cover. Weird that I found work related solutions in a travel video. 😂😂

Absolutely no offence meant, but I am grateful that Marianne took the time to translate the S.A English... it's not anything to do with the speakers, but I couldn't lipread everything. Thanks Marianne.

    Loving the South African videos.
Makes me wish that I'd gone to Mozambique whilst living there, but I can always go back for a visit.
Please be careful with the window washers, they are on you before you can say "no" .
When stationary in traffic, you are at their mercy, and if you refuse payment, it can turn nasty... speaking from experience.
Those "monkeys" were baboons, keep your windows closed. They have been known to break window wipers.
The big poo looked like it had come from a rhino or buffalo.
I was fortunate enough to work on a game reserve where both were present and it was commonplace.
It's a pity you aren't going to the western Cape.... the diversity of the region is truly beautiful.
Maybe you will go back to SA one day and cover this area as well😊.
Looking forward to more Southern African adventures.

The Maputo Bridge was built by the China Road and Bridge Corporation. That was an impressive bridge, and Mozambique is quite a beautiful country. It looks to me almost as developed as S. Africa. Looking forward to much more adventures.

They were looking in your van because there are huge poaching issues. Also those were baboons not monkeys.
