- Almost uncut footage of Cadafist 9a/+ in St. Léger. All the climbing is uncut, I cut out the rests though when I'm shaking out for ages and the first 5 quickdraws are missing too. There is a first part of the route (around 7meters of 8a) to a good rest. The video starts from the rest. The guidebook gives it 9a, I personally think, that 9a/+ is more appropriate. I didn't sit on the tree at the good rest (because I didn't know that was allowed).
Thanks to Alex Rohr for the support and belay. Sorry about the audio, it's not great.
Man, I love these videos. No need for some 3 part life-story series on climbing, just Alex making some of the hardest stuff on earth look easy. 100% pure ballet on rock.
Both styles are good. Just different approaches to film making and showing climbing
This is a pleasure to watch because it showcases the best that climbing can be, but seeing the journey and the failed attempts is also great because it show climbing in a more realistic light.
Just one man, his carrots and the wind.
Love the video, amazing work! Also, wouldn't mind seeing the full video including the "rest" parts because it's an important aspect to climbing such a hard route like that. Full-length vids would help weaker climbers like myself to learn from
The image quality is gorgeous, it lets us visualize the holds and try to imagine what it could be like climbing it.
Visualize the holds? What holds?
Haha yeah the few of us who will ever tackle a 9a route
early carrot crew here
Eatin a carrot right now
@Jan well yeah.. eating alive animals is difficult.
World class as always, Thanks Alex
I don't mind the audio. Adds to the atmosphere of the video tbh.
And I wonder what it's like to be at an insane climbing level, having this 9a as the perfect Life-Project, working it for ages and than Alex comes by, eats a carrot, and strolls up the route like it's nothing.
Nothing short from world class 👏👏
Love your videos, Alex, they are so pure and calm! Very smooth climbing.
My finger popped just watching you swing on that mono. Fire as always man. Always inspiring watching you climb.
Such a sick line, looks incredibly difficult!
Nice video! Cool to give the shout outs at the end. Those friends deserve the recognition.
Alex du hast mich schön erwischt mit deinem 1. Aprilscherz.
Got damn that is some good climbing
Really love your climbing brother, envious of that raw strength! Motivating me to actually want to get fit so I can climb
No comment. fabuloso, tío. me gustan mucho tus videos y como escalas, aprendo mucho contigo, gracias.
Super impressive to watch! The route - the moves were looking super sick!
Starkes Video, Alex.
Insane!!! Also that bonsai tree at the start is beautiful
That tree is growing on the overhang!
Amazing climb! Do longer vids pleaseeee
such silence... beautiful climb dude
Awesome climbing. Also those trees look gnarly :)
master of pockets
I wonder how many climbers have gone for a pocket and a bird, snake, or insect was inside it. Those big cracks in the background near the end look like good habitat spots
ive had many lizard encounters. birds probably see you coming a mile away and leave. snakes would probably only be right off the ground or right at the top, they arent really rock climbers on anything more than vertical.
@@nicougrikify I'd be very impressed if there was a snake in the middle of a 10m wall though
@@NOTYOU0BVIOUSLY call that snake megos
went for a scorpion once in Verdon Gorges :) and was bitten by a wasp too !
@@LeonxLeon oh jeez
great vid, especially with the video quality!
Looking Olympic Strong 💪
gorgeous send!
Such a joy to watch! Super cool. :D
Would love to see this and other climbs with post commentary!
Dude holy cow! How small are those holds in the first minute already haha
Insane!
Krass...👍Respekt
Strong!!
Good job dude!
Le Assassin silensiuex
Hello, hope you have a nice trip in France !!
How often do you change your climbing shoes ?
U should come to herculane to climb there a 9a
Who takes the quickdraws off, or are they permanently there?
Sometimes, the quickdraws will be placed during the initial climbs, in which the climber checks out the beta. In some cases especially harder open projects, quickdraw are permanently in the route.
Cadafist... Ist das der rote Ferrari, der Lego fertig machen soll? xD
which patagonia jacket is that
Who named that😂
Looks like something broke off at 2:22
9a+ now, for sure
Beruflich unterwegs?
Put some music please
Pulling a rope up the rock and having to pause to clip all the time seems somewhat archaic. When are we going to be roped to something like drones that follow us up the rock and allow us to just climb.
I mean, if that's what you want you might as well just use a top rope. But that's not considered 'real' climbing.
I completely understand your feeling, like climbing with ease through the rock no worries about clipping just climb to the top, like the same feeling of free soloing but when you fall something catches you, nice dream to explore solutions indeed, I completely second that idea.
If you scream more like Adam Ondra does, you can climb 9c!
