A friend and I were just speaking about the weather in Ontario - so much dullness and dampness. It lasts for soooo long. When I was young, by March/April, we had a lovely warm spring and not now. It can be confining, depressing and oppressive for sure. My bones let me know before I get out of bed, if it is overcast , damp and rainy. In short, good for you having your convictions and remaining strong. God bless!

The china bio weapon is what sent me to Taylor Marshall and quickly discovered what I had been robbed of in my faith and what my father had been trying to explain to all of us 7 kids for a while. At least I was exposed to the latin mass via my grandmother and my father on an off during my upbringing. I found the SSPX during the bioweapon time 15 minutes from our house. That said, how did you reconcile the what you think is Catholic and what your wife thinks is Catholic. I thought we were on the same page, but have now come to realize (though the stress of the virus time) that my wife and I are worlds apart almost to the point where she doesn’t really care if she goes to church unless she thinks it will make her look bad to her mom😮 who is catholic, but its now clear the mom had the same approach to her Catholicism an my wife - go figure. The background and education are only valid for people that want to follow the law. If you promise to vote Democrat you can get a no processing entry and a free ride to the city of your choice and “skip all the lines.”😮 God Bless you!
Of course it doesn't start with what you get out of it, it starts with what you bring to it, which is the worship of God, the first purpose of the Mass if you will.
We as participants bring nothing to the sacrifice but it should cause some transformation in us. I didn’t feel the need to challenge or transform anything stringing the NO for 37 years. I describe this more fully in the book
Ha! You don't have to cross international borders to have problems relocating. Some US states have awful laws and economic conditions that make moves impossible. You have to be rich to move to Post Falls.
It’s definitely not a cheap place to live. There are several options for TLM communities in less expensive areas but this was the one that made the most sense for us and the Lord has provided despite having few means

You seem hesitant, dare i say scared, to have a discussion with someone who doesn't agree with you. If you are virtuous enough to have the courage to discuss this topic, then lets do it. Yes Fr. Lipp was here and left last year I believe. He served the mission chapels and didn’t teach in the school so I rarely saw him

There’s nothing stopping you from spending half the year here in retirement but relocating will require an immigrant visa. The book covers this.
