Great interview ! For those of you who are also frustrated: The belly fat is the hardest to get rid of, but we can do it! I just purchased a copy of Dr. Michael Greger’s book “how NOT to diet”. Lots of great tips, and I know it will help.❤
in answer to the belly fat questions, i find the only way some of us can lose weight is eating starch solution fifty fifty plate, half no starch veg and half starch.....adding fat and too much protein, even tofu, can keep you fat...i found that the mcdougall way really helped, plant based with nuts and seeds, is still fat....just because they don't include oil , its still fattening for some of us.....hope this is helpful, God bless
Thank you so much for this interview! It was very inspiring❤❤❤ I have been vegan, mostly plant-based for more than 7 years....still have to work on my mindset and lose some weight. I know a lot, but when it comes to taking the right actions most of the time I still have hard times....and when not happy with my decision I just overeat.... I am working on it now and feel confident that I can have my close-to-perfect weight at the near future. Patience, Love, and Trust in the process will help people to achieve great results.👋❤ Thank you again!!!
I have been plant based over a year and still have a big belly. Every other place on my body is small. I walk 5 miles a day so do some weight classes 3 times a week.
That's so frustrating :/ Not that I'm an expert by any means but I know that menopause or perimenopause (not sure how old you are so I'm sorry if you're not in this range!) can lead to more belly fat in women despite working out. I don't really know of a solution for that but just a thought of what might be happening? I really like some of the menopause-related content on the Exam Room Podcast though!
Thank you. I will check out the Exam Room Podcast. I just turned 49 and my doctor believes iam perimeopause due to some symptoms I talked to her about.
The only thing that worked for my belly fat was to leave veganism. Although I was strict WFPB, my belly wouldn’t go away. Switched to clean proteins with tons of veggies and slow, low glycemic carbs like beans/lentils and bamm! Flat belly within a week.calorie for calorie my body looks so much better. I just don’t think all of us can handle that many carbs no matter if they’re unrefined or not. We are all different but I couldn’t not share what worked for me. As I aged the belly kept growing until I switched.
Oh man … is it just me?? Or are these guys just bragging about themselves? And it got me when Robert did not ask his guest what he eats in a day … which would have been very interesting to me.🤦🏻♀️ This is the first negative comment I have ever written. Truth. I am still grateful for them being plant-based vegan leaders.💗
I’ve been on a WFPB for 9months and have lost 60 lbs and seems like I have a bigger belly just can’t lose the belly I had a stroke 5 years ago and can’t exercise that much
Try a detox program. You can look up cleansing & detoxing herbs to make your own. There are many detox programs you can buy. I purchased the one from Dr Bobby Price. Look him up on RUclips.
Have you tried walking and doing resistance training using resistance bands. Belly fat is harder to lose and you have done a fantastic job till now. Keep going and stay safe!
@@CHEFAJ Thanks AJ, I had clicked on more but I was looking without my reading glasses lol! Sometimes it works, my vision has improved with age as a vegan but obviously it's not always at it's best. I wanted to check out his videos 👍🏻
Would have loved to hear more from Maxime and less from Peter. His comments were all positive but he added so much of personal story that the interviewer/guest roles became blurred

Yes we can! Thank you for sharing your positive view towards the belly fat issues. It encouraged me to keep trying until I find what works for me!

I struggled with flour products. Took me years to quit. Finally gave up eating dry Cheerio's & shredded wheat & lost 12 more lbs

Hi Chef AJ--- was intrigued to learn about reverse dieting, but please do another video that actually addresses the topic of belly fat in menopause
What a great interview, I really enjoyed this and learnt a lot. I will be listening to it again. Thank you so much 🥰
Our pleasure!
Thank you, I'm happy you enjoyed it :)

This is so discouraging 😢
I have the same issue and walk 6 miles a day 6 days a week and strength train an hour a day

It’s not just you. But I would say that one side of this interview did more self-promotion than the other.
Great interview! Love what Maxim said about making his wife a priority.❤
Thank you for the kind words and for listening :)

Very interesting and well discussed in all aspects. thanks!!
Love this, motivating 💕
The title is misleading. Awesome guest, for sure, but the title should be different to actually reflect the topics.
I didn't hear much about what was mentioned in the title. WTH? I heard more pontificating than anything. Sorry guys.
💯 agree I’ve tried to listen to chef Robert interviews and it is always the same - less about the host please
@@tamaraberg8908 Amen to that. Last time I'll listen cos it was an hour wasted as far as I was concerned.

What's the name of the app that was mentioned at 46 min. The transcript suggestion is not accurate. Thanks
I have a pre session question sorry.
I'm a gastroctomy surgery patient left with 20% stomach. Can you help me Putting up weight
What about belly fat
Where's the contact info for your guest? It's all your stuff
Maximes's contact info is at the bottom of the show notes, under the video if you click where it says"...more"
