Just want to thank you for enabling me to pass my NCLE. A lot of the material was confusing or pretty bare bones and it was a little hard to grasp some of the concepts.
You broke down everything into easy to digest portions and I was able to pass with a better score than I thought I would get. If I had found your channel sooner, I definitely would have passed on my first try. You've definitely helped me out on my second try and now my job as an optician is pretty much secured.
I can't thank you enough. I have 2 others who I will be recommending your channel to so they can pass their NCLE as well. Life savior.

Hello Sam, Thank you for providing detailed videos about the NCLE. I have been studying for the past six months with self-study guides, and your videos and dry board have helped bring it all together. Today I am ABO and NCLE, thanks to you. I will share your videos with others coming up in the field or changing career paths. Keep up the great work.

Hey Sam love ya videos! I have a question about when to use back toric lenses… one of my sources says that its used when the refractive astigmatism exceeds the corneal astigmatism by 1/3. Another of my sources says it is used when there is 3.00D of corneal astigmatism and the spectacle Rx is spherical. Very confusing!

Hi Sam , I have a question about diagnostic contact lenses, patients take them home to try (what we call trial lenses?) or dispose of them at the doctor's office after diagnosis. Thank you.

Typically, for a new wearer - if they can demonstrate that they can properly insert and remove the lens in office they can leave the office with the lenses and then return in approximately one week for a follow-up visit to determine fit, comfort, vision etc…
      Thanks for watching!

      Hi, Dan.
You should equate these videos to someone attending a live class lecture - they are designed to simplify some of the more complex topics found on the NCLE (CLRE). Just as an optician student would still want to study comprehensive resources, you should too! I do not focus on facts (I.e. PMMA stands for polymethylmethacrylate) but rather focus on theory. I want someone who does not have the privilege of attending optician school to be able to understand the concepts that may not be so clear if only reading them from a text book.
Watch the videos to elucidate (fun word) the math and theoretical, but study other resources for miscellaneous facts.
Thanks for watching and being engaged 👍🏼

      Hi Carrie!
Best advice that I could give you is to go through the online simulation daily. This is the best way to prepare for the practical.
Good luck! Thank you for watching 😃

      Hi, Lindsay!
Thank you so much for watching. I am glad the videos are helpful. Unfortunately, all that I have ever been recommended for the practicals was the simulations on the website along with having a basic knowledge of NCLE-type questions.
Please let us know how you do! You’ve got this 💪🏼

@@edcaro7173 Honestly, it looks as though it’s geared towards optometry and not necessarily helping one to pass the NCLE. I also saw that it had 3/5 star reviews.
I would think you would benefit more from a CLSA review book. Happy studying!

Can you help me plead! I’m about to take my NCLE very soon but I’m confused on this. The question is: what is incorrect about lens equilibration? I’m getting different answers please help I need to pass this test. Thank you

    • @nclecontactlenstraining
      @nclecontactlenstraining  Год назад +1

Lens equilibration is the time that it takes for a contact lens to reach “homeostasis.” This usually takes about 20 minutes. The lens will absorb tears and balance with the pH of the year film. Before a lens equilibrates it will not behave as it will when worn so it is impossible to do a contact lens evaluation pre-equilibration.
Let us know when you kick this test’s butt! 💪

I Passed my NCLE exam yesterday! Thanks for these awesome videos they really helped. With that said I need some help regarding “ Practical ABO & NCLE exam. Could you point me in the right direction? Do you have any videos on this ? I feel confident with the right material I can pass test in 2 weeks.
What would it take to get you to tutor me for 1 or 2 days :) $$$ Or Any other tutor that you think will help ?
Let me know your thoughts and hope you have an awesome day!

First off, congratulations on passing! That is awesome to hear 🎊
If I thought that tutoring you on the practical portion would be beneficial I most definitely would; however, from what I have heard the only thing that is truly beneficial is using the online simulation and getting used to the program itself. I believe all of that is available on the ABO-NCLE website.
This is the most often question that I am asked so I am going to do some research and eventually get a video out covering the material. Thank you so much for commenting and watching the videos! Please share them with your optical nerd friends! 💪
