Isn't that one of the Flextailgear pumps? I have a similar one that I got and started using a few months ago. They're great, if you know how to keep it powered up! Took me a little trial and error to find the USB port on my computer to plug it in. LOL
I have the same inflator(and deflator). That thing on top of it is for deflating. I use it to vacuum seal my jackets so it will not take too much space on my backpack. Then the inflator for my pillow and bed. That thing makes my camping more comfortable yet light weight.
Thank you Luke for nine yrs of you and your families commitment to the family structure. The world needs more of it .God Bless, keep the fine videos coming ,and be safe!✌️
Hey Luke!! My daughter and i love watching your Episodes. We don't really do camping, but I love watching the adventures you and your wife have. We live in Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 , the home of Carnival. I agree that people needs to be more courteous in this world today, but my mother had a saying "manners make a man". Continue doing what you do we enjoy it.
I can't think of a Tuber that I have more respect for then this man (and his family) right here. Absolutely my go to favorite channel. Luke you bring so much inspiration and knowledge to gear and getting out to the wilderness. Thank you!
Hi Luke, great review! I love my Haven tent xl so I am already there. Weigt, well sleeping good is a priority for me and its a learning curve to set it up right for your own prereferences. But a very tight ridgeline, full pad and headside higher is a must for me to get it flat! Haven support and customer service is the best I have seen!! Looking forward to see more from you, your review are always great and educational!
You have a good point with the courtesy issue. I hope all is well with you and your family. I've been enjoying your adventures for a few years now. They've even inspired my wife and I to get out in nature more. Strength and Honor Luke.
That battery powered inflator….AMAZING. I have never seen such a great, small, quick inflator like that. To me, that is the most amazing piece of gear in the video.
Hi Luke. Cheers from Canada. I 've watched many of you videos in the past. But this is the first time I have seen your photography. Outstanding my friend. That bridge, wow. And the moon so large and clear with the fore ground. Spectacular. Such a talent. I hope you get to enjoy more of your passion. Live life large Brother. It's shorter than you think.
Hi Luke, as far as the beer goes, we just got Yeling in Texas, and had not found it yet. I agree with the style of the furniture not fitting the Carolina woods. Glad you burned it and did not just let it rot. Hope you are having a great spring! Say hi to Susie for me, I want a solo adventure from her sometime soon!
Thank you for a relaxing show. Your photographs were so lovely! I watch quite a few different camping type videos and the only ones I continue to watch are those of you who are honest. Bless your heart for staying real ❤
The pictures of the moon are insane!!! I have had the Haven for about 2.5 years, I was one of the original Kick Starter supporters. I have slept better in this tent hammock than any other. You do sacrifice weight but I'm not an ultra light hiker, so for me its worth it. One time i did forget the tree straps on a hike at Linville Gorge and had to rig it up with only paracord, it was a little sketchy but got the job done.
Greetings Luke. I hope all is well with you and yours. In this episode you answered my question about Wolf Mountain. It is a good thing you have someplace to get away and secure that it is yours. Enjoy your videos. I am living vicariously through your adventures.
Absolutely love the haven. I have used it for 2 years now. I made a modification sewing a strap under the head-end. This gives me the possibility to raise the end as a recliner. Awsome. The pad tends to let some air out over time and I have heard others say the same. Keep the pump or the pump-bag close by and it will be no problem. I also have the Amok hammock but I find this to be somewhat unstable and it is a game of high risk in wintertime 😅
@10:24, that adjustable loop is a form of eye splice, typically this style is seen on dyneema kite lines, and Amsteel (also dyneema) sailing lines, but usually the adjustable end is inside the main weave and not adjustable. You can make your own from videos on RUclips.

I was barely be able to see things, but hearing your voice and gear reviews made heading to the woods an anticipation. Thanks for being a great virtual friend. #yingling..

Hey Luke, Great review and I look forward to more of them on the Haven Tent. I have the XL. I am returning it because the bug net ripped away from the seams at the ends of the zipper, where they connect. The customer support with Haven has been extremly helpful. They love the feed back and want to hear from folks on how to improve their system. I have since then bought the "standard" version as the system is very much dependent on the size and stature of the person using it. I stand 5'10" and weigh in at 220. When I tested my Haven tent, the middle of the sleeping matress kept wanting to fold in, creating a trough that I would slip into. After discussions with the Haven support team, we agreed that I have the wrong size for myself. So the XL for me didn't work. I'd love to see your review of this tent as a "ground" setup and how it will perform in a rain storm and heavy winds over 15mph. I love the channel, keep it going.
Absolutely loved this adventure Luke! I have loved camping since i was very young. My dad took us kids about every weekend from spring to fall. Oh how i miss those days! Hey, Luke. I always fire up my Thermacell before opening my tent or hammock, and climb into the tent with it. That keeps the worst bugs out. As a back sleeper, this hammock looks pretty comfy.
My friend, I been enjoying your work for some time. I was hoping someone would check out this Haven tent/hammock for a while. I should have known you would be the one. Thank You.
i hate whoopie slings. i have them on my WBXLC hammock and i cant seem to get them super tight. when they are tight you need 3 hands to get them any tighter. its like the slack wont pull through the berry, i have to move the berry to tighten. i know that probably doesnt make sense, but oh well.
I am so glad to see you doing the Haven Tent! I hope we see more testing of this, both in hammock mode and tent mode. Most of the videos i see on it are clearly being being either paid or got it provided for free. I am really interested in one as a versatile system for motorcycle camping.
Will, I have the Haven Xl and use it motorcycle camping. It fits well in my saddle bags and its easy to set up in both hammock and ground mode. The one shortcoming is if your traveling with a passenger, then you'd need a 2 person tent
Thank you so much for your gear reviews. I've been watching for a while now and have purchased gear with info from your thorough reviews. I enjoy your excellent photography and I appreciated your comment about courtesy with communications, which i agree with wholeheartedly. I purchased a lay-flat hammock by Amok and have yet to really put it to the test. I am not really a hammock person since I like to toss and turn and side sleep but I like the concept of a lay-flat hammock. Thanks again and best wishes, John Green
Hey Luke, There is probably good reason why that tarp has an air gap between layers. I'm a retired SERE Instructor, One of the courses we taught is TEST(Tropical, Environment, Survival, Training) This included desert survival. When a parachute shelter is set up in a desert clime, you string 2 layers of parachute with an air gap between them(we would use some brush between the layers to keep them separate , think of a twin walled thermos. This will also cut the radiant heat coming thru the material. Keep up the good work, FYI I'm ordering one of those tarps.
Luke is so right. I am certain that much of the divisions that we all face would be lessened if we just used a bit of courtesy and politeness in our interactions. The internet and lack of face to face communication has really taken it's toll. Thanks for the great content as usual Luke!
Luke, good to see you and this video opening with the truck roaring was really cool. You always test some of the neatest gear. Yuengling, PBR or Miller Lite if I had to drink one. Not much for alcohol, but it's good for the kidneys occasionally, so Pabst Blue Ribbon is American. No Country For Old Men was an incredible movie and I can certainly see why he won an award for the performance of the bad character. That guy can give you nightmares. Remember as a kid having a hammock, they were all nylon and colorful back then in the 70s. I think it was red and yellow with an accent. I remember it was hot outside one time and lay down in that thing and it started a light shower. Got a little bit wet but not too awful bad just enough to cool down and I remember falling asleep and waking up about a couple hours later thinking this is the coolest and most comfortable I've been in a long time. Great memories of being a kid. I love the wildlife; turkeys are awesome.
Your idea of being courteous and respectful nomatter the conversation is absolutely the way I feel! It's just like back in the day when a handshake ment something! The world is moving towards the weak, spoiled and disrespectful and I am sad to say I feel it is what will end humans eventually! Anyway great video as always Luke and have a great summer buddy!

Hi Luke glad to see you with a Haven. I think I was one person who mentioned it to you, probably not the only one though. I know you will enjoy it, I have a Haven Safari and was a part of their Kickstarter group.
Alas Babylon is my favorite book. I read it for the first time BLB (before Luke's birth) and have read it so many times - my first copy was held together by a rubber band. I have gone through several copies since then. To this day, I refuse to own an electric can opener and only use a manual one, have to have major containers of salt and sugar, and keep a large supply of needles and thread. I live in Central Florida and have always felt this is where Pat Frank found his Fort Repose. Fascinating read - almost as interesting as your videos. Thank you so very much for sharing.
Also ty Like for the reviews and I have a simple question what’s a good air mattress for two people camping in a large tent. We have a 9 person tent and sometime by ourselves we have a 3 person I would love recommendations and I trust your info.
Hi Luke, I've heard you mention the fact you're a photographer a few times on the channel and it's always appreciated when you share your creativity. I'm currently planning a photography trip on the East coast of Canada, nothing in life draws me into the present more than being out in nature and taking in the scene. Looking forward to more, Cheers!
Hey Luke. I Hope everything is well with you and your lovely family. I really enjoyd this video. Please make more videos with this hammock. Very interesting peace of kit this One! Wish you all the best. - Daniel

Hey Luke, that inflator works as a fantastic fire bellows. Makes getting a fire going even when a bit damp, easy. I won't go backpacking without it.
Now that is good information...
Why didn't I think of that 🤔. Great idea

I love your videos! Your photography is fantastic! Puts me into another world of adventure while teaching me very useful outdoor tips and great gear knowledge! I get very excited when I see a new vid up and I thank you to you and your family! Lol, turkey gave me a good laugh!
Hi Luke glad to see you with a Haven. I think I was one person who mentioned it to you, probably not the only one though. I know you will enjoy it, I have a Haven Safari and was a part of their Kickstarter group.
I agree being polite takes no effort and takes a minimal amount of time something that goes a long, long way in the world. Great video.
Beautiful black and white photos.
Fella ty for the videos and reviews we love them always a fan me and the wife.
Keep them up
Also ty Like for the reviews and I have a simple question what’s a good air mattress for two people camping in a large tent.
We have a 9 person tent and sometime by ourselves we have a 3 person I would love recommendations and I trust your info.
Wow the photos
Thanks for everything!
