Great talk. I saw one review say go one level higher due to the "soft feel" or "too much bend" do you think you should play the recommended weight or go up?

I bought one several weeks ago. Started playing again after 2 stokes in 2015. Went and got fitted for all new equipment as my swing is no longer conducive to playing my old equipment. I was fitted into a TSR2 in a stock Tensei Blue stiff shaft. I hit it straight but the spin rates on the coarse and range were too high (3500-4000 rpms) and the ball just ballooned on my. Ordered a Newton in the correct dot/swing speed and watched spin drop to 1600 - 2500 rpm and gained 20 - 30 yards instantly.

Great review ! I just bought the 4 in 7 wood. Looking to see how it performs

I have the Lab broomstick. You definitely need to practice a lot with it. Trying different grips is the biggest issue. Once you figure it out, you’ll find it’s a lot more accurate!

Thanks for the review on the Newton Shafts. Sounds like a decent shaft. I’m thinking about the extra length, but seems worth it because of the money back guarantee. Who knows the extra length might help me. The fitting seems to be accurate. Do you know if these are similar to the Korean Auto Flex Shafts??

I have an AF and this sounds just like it. Worth a try.

@@daveeklund6277 This is extremely inferior to autoflex. Try a Kinetixx Hypersonic instead, and don’t let any of your friends hit with it… or you’ll never get it back. You’re welcome.

Switched from a 757 speeder. Newton numbers looking good at 312 avg with great launch and spin numbers

@@leetieu818 if you are hitting 312 with the Newton, you absolutely need to try the Hypersonic by Kinetixx. It holds two world records with ball speed and distance. You’re welcome. Expect you average to jump from 312, to 330 yards, on first swing.

Hypersonic shaft by Kinetixx murders this shaft and anything out there.

I hope you don’t really believe that!

@terrypeeples1942 I’ve tested both. Newton dispersion is nowhere near as tight, and absolutely nowhere near as long as Hypersonic. Newton is short by almost 100 yards. The only people using the Newton are older players seeking “improved” dispersion. Every forum has confirmed my numbers as well. I believe in numbers, not marketing bs. I don’t believe it’s nice or professionally moral to recommend the Newton, knowing damn well it’s an inferior product to 100% of the shafts on the market. The Hypersonic by Kinetixx was released the same time Newton was, in the same time frame Hypersonic EARNED two world records that still stand today. Fastest ball speed, and longest distance. Newton has won no awards and no world records… and nobody winning WLD. Meanwhile, Kinetixx has the record for most shaft by most winners in all of WLD history. Newton was born by the same company that made some “good” putters. They are seeking to expand by getting into the shaft market by paying their way in… paying “players” to “review” it. No namers were selected to talk about the shaft… but nobody is using it that is worth mentioning. Unlike you, I’m serious about which company I put in my bag, and I research everything. I want top engineers working on my gear… not marketing executives.

@@terrypeeples1942 Tested against the Newton, it’s 100 yards shorter than the Hypersonic and the dispersion is very poor in comparison. It’s not a good product… Newton is paying its way into the market. Newton came out the same time Hypersonic did, yet Hypersonic holds two world records and tons of wins with the company’s shafts. I believe in numbers and top engineers, not marketing executives and bs. This shaft is designed for very slow swingers and those who are happy with hitting 260 on a good day. I average 346 yards… this product is being pushed hard for exposure, but it has already been mulled over and forgotten by the best in the game. This is not a pro level shaft, full stop. Those that tell you it’s good, have skin in the game to profit it from via kick backs. It’s business… but I believe it’s immoral to trick consumers into buying snake oil. I believe in numbers… and the numbers say this thing sticks. Every forum talking about it says the same thing. No distance gained and not much change in dispersion. Plus this thing is one of the heaviest shafts in the market, that already tells you this thing is at least 10 years outdated. Better materials exist that are way lighter and stronger… an unmatched advantage for distance.

Came here for the Newton review..l was about to click off when I heard you being up that PoS LAB putter & the snake oil con job that trash is, then you were honest about it being lackluster… so I stuck…
But man you need to put bookmarks in your podcast, sucks having to sit there tapping forward to get where ya want. I so t need all the other info, I’ve been playing for 40 years, since I was 4. Not really in need of all the fine details of others bags & what works for them regarding their fine tuned club & ball details.
Bookmarks, bro. Make it easy to navigate.
