Does the orientation of these adapters settings change the grip / shaft in the head ?
You should hit shots this talk is to long
17 minutes and 19 seconds talking about one wedge? Okay........
Never seen anyone just talk about one club/wedge in my life. Great information but geez......Im into this Vid for 10:24 minutes and I have 38:17 minutes left........Forged MacGregor Iron review next............
Did you go with parallel or taper tip? And why would you pick one over the other?
Go Green!! Thanks for the review.
Go White! Thank you!
Great Vid! Are we going to get a season end witb vid? How does the Steel Oz compare to the spyder proto outside of the obvious LAB physics benefits? Excited for the new srixon cleveland dunlop gear in the new year
So the Spider Proto got benched back in August as it let me down during my guys weekend. Mezz.1 Max finished out the weekend for me and kept me in some matches! But feel wise I think the Spider Proto is slightly softer than the OZ.1i, not by much. I thought I did a season ending WITB a few weeks ago.
@@golfwrxradio thanks ill be sure to hunt it down
I can’t decide on what alignment I want. Do you feel the straight line going all the way back the cavity would be beneficial to alignment or is it not needed with just the T alignment?
So this one was kind of rushed out and I didn't get to pick the alignment on it. I like the longer site lines that run to the back of the putter for me.
Mallet without long alignment is pretty much a blade with more clunkiness.
Fun facts the L stands for Lefty, he named it after him. Hard to find but it is true, another example M for multipurpose, S for Striker, K for Kite but it is a thing
Great talk. I saw one review say go one level higher due to the "soft feel" or "too much bend" do you think you should play the recommended weight or go up?
I ordered the P4 alignment in a Charcoal. What do you think of it?
Is that the 3 dots and the toe to heel line? Similar to mine, the T alignment on top. I don't mind the dots as I loved the old Odyssey #7 t hat had those. Should be a sweet stick!
Dude, give yourself an appropriate loft for your swing for a decent test! It’s not hard to adjust!
Excellent review.
Appreciate it!
Wish we had an option to add horizontal grooves to the insert to improve the top spin roll off the face.
I am willing to bet we will see some additional inserts and milling with these heads. I don't know anything, but I feel like LAB will bring us a lot of options like they always do!
Go Blue!! Great video.
Thank you! And no way, go GREEN!
Love your reviews. How would you compare the OZ to the Antidote SB2?
I think somewhat similar really. Feel might be a touch softer with the SB2 as those horizontal grooves don't put a ton of steel on the ball. The SB2 might have just a touch more stability to it, but it isn't as soft of a shape.
Very thorough.
Thank you!
the one OZ which is interesting is the ZERO degree forward press
As I mentioned I have that one as well with a SuperStroke grip on it. I like the ability to put your favorite grip on the putter as it opens up more options for golfers. Personally I like the feel at setup of the forward shaft lean.
@@golfwrxradio yes it does
Awesome review Brian. Happy New Year. The OZ is def easier on the eyes. I've never tried MEZZ or MEZZ Max., they never appealed to my eye. I'm sure if I rolled them they would grow on me. Last summer i was remotely fit for DF3. what an awesome and easy experience. Sent in my video and within two days they responded and suggested a 72 Deg. lie angle. i went with counter-balanced & heavier head options at 36 inches. being 5'-6" i choke down about 2 inches to get the full effect of the counter balancing. it has the 17 in. SS 3.0 grip and NN head marking which has the short solid line along the top and 3 white dots going back away from the face. By far the best putter ive used and ive been golfing for almost 35 years. Maybe LAB will put inserts into DF3? that would def make me make a change, but for now this DF3 isnt leaving my bag. The key is to get the correct lie angle, if you don't get custom fit you're throwing your $ away. I would've never thought i was that upright at 72 deg, but the video doesn't lie.
I agree, getting the right specs makes a big difference in the LAB putters. I did the remote video fitting and I think it worked great. Putters feel very nice and balanced to me, while some friends haven't liked it as much as they think it is to short and flat!
@ LAB knows what they’re doing, I wouldnt question thier decision especially on lie angle ! Only have to focus on line and speed and the LAB does the rest !
Great review. CG distance to face is def something to consider in evaluating zero torque putters. I believe Sam Hahn has spoken in detail about setup for DF putters because of this.
Thank you! Sam is a very smart guy, and darn funny too!
Always enjoy your content Brian.
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
I have a set of fairly new limit 3-D clubs if anyone is interested. I like them, but I’m going to move back to playing blades.
Dude shot up u just talked and we see nothing
If Alex Jones played golf....
How can they be forged, and 3D printed? That doesn’t add up.
Came here for the Newton review..l was about to click off when I heard you being up that PoS LAB putter & the snake oil con job that trash is, then you were honest about it being lackluster… so I stuck… But man you need to put bookmarks in your podcast, sucks having to sit there tapping forward to get where ya want. I so t need all the other info, I’ve been playing for 40 years, since I was 4. Not really in need of all the fine details of others bags & what works for them regarding their fine tuned club & ball details. Bookmarks, bro. Make it easy to navigate.
That Tour Edge C725 looks awesome. If I wasn’t custom fit for my TSR3 3 wood, I would definitely look into this C725. Just don’t need to change. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you as well!
Happy new year and good golfing to all
Cant decide bb46 or inovai 8
Actually, the most underrated clubs are Inesis 900... if underrated means something. Because the pleasure to own sth is to consider as much as the intrinsic qualities of the product you buy. Is a Seiko underrated vs a Rolex, and a Rolex vs a Patek ? They all give the same time, but each point of view is respectable.
Underdog show was great. Please do it again next year.
DONE! It will be an end of year celebration!
LOVE the new 2024 PXG Xtreme tour golf ball was a surprise how good it is only other ball i think matches it are the Vice balls ( Pro / Pro air / Pro Plus ) cheers all from Canada
I agree, the PXG ball is very underrated as well!
Happy New Year Brian! Thank you for all the information from your reviews this year. They were very insightful and helpful. Looking forward to your opinions on the new year's releases. :DDD
Thank you! I was just outside taking some pics of some new gear! Can't wait to start swinging with it
What's your favorite club of the year?
Man, that is really hard to say. For me it might be the Titleist GT2 16.5* fairway. It is really hard for me to find a 3 wood that I can hit high off the turf and not overspin off the tee. So far the GT2 has been really solid in both spots.
@golfwrxradio I've been thinking of trying a high lofted 3w. GT2 is definitely on my radar.
Was excited for the review....did you ever get to it? Zzzzzzzz
I tested the MG4's against all the other big brands, and for me, the MG4's outperformed all of them. 46, 50, 56 and 60 are in my bag and love them.
Great video, sir! I agree, Mizuno has been holding their own lately in all categories! Love cobra too! Good for you on the shout out! Happy new year to you and yours, sir!
Thank you! Happy new year to you!
Your swing must be getting faster now. You must be upgrading to tour stiff golf shafts. ⛳️
Everything I can find states Takomos are forged from S20C carbon steel, not stainless. The same steel that Miura uses. The 3 step forging process Miura uses may be where the softer feel comes from?
Great video!!! You stated you have driver length at 45 inches. Stock drivers are now 45.5-45.75. When you go down to that length, do you add weight to the head to keep the swing weight the same? Looks to be a stiff profile entire shaft, but gd always has smooth feeling shafts, which you validated.
Cool will you be swinging tour stiff shafts in 2025!!!
Hypersonic shaft by Kinetixx murders this shaft and anything out there.
I hope you don’t really believe that!
@terrypeeples1942 I’ve tested both. Newton dispersion is nowhere near as tight, and absolutely nowhere near as long as Hypersonic. Newton is short by almost 100 yards. The only people using the Newton are older players seeking “improved” dispersion. Every forum has confirmed my numbers as well. I believe in numbers, not marketing bs. I don’t believe it’s nice or professionally moral to recommend the Newton, knowing damn well it’s an inferior product to 100% of the shafts on the market. The Hypersonic by Kinetixx was released the same time Newton was, in the same time frame Hypersonic EARNED two world records that still stand today. Fastest ball speed, and longest distance. Newton has won no awards and no world records… and nobody winning WLD. Meanwhile, Kinetixx has the record for most shaft by most winners in all of WLD history. Newton was born by the same company that made some “good” putters. They are seeking to expand by getting into the shaft market by paying their way in… paying “players” to “review” it. No namers were selected to talk about the shaft… but nobody is using it that is worth mentioning. Unlike you, I’m serious about which company I put in my bag, and I research everything. I want top engineers working on my gear… not marketing executives.
@@terrypeeples1942 Tested against the Newton, it’s 100 yards shorter than the Hypersonic and the dispersion is very poor in comparison. It’s not a good product… Newton is paying its way into the market. Newton came out the same time Hypersonic did, yet Hypersonic holds two world records and tons of wins with the company’s shafts. I believe in numbers and top engineers, not marketing executives and bs. This shaft is designed for very slow swingers and those who are happy with hitting 260 on a good day. I average 346 yards… this product is being pushed hard for exposure, but it has already been mulled over and forgotten by the best in the game. This is not a pro level shaft, full stop. Those that tell you it’s good, have skin in the game to profit it from via kick backs. It’s business… but I believe it’s immoral to trick consumers into buying snake oil. I believe in numbers… and the numbers say this thing sticks. Every forum talking about it says the same thing. No distance gained and not much change in dispersion. Plus this thing is one of the heaviest shafts in the market, that already tells you this thing is at least 10 years outdated. Better materials exist that are way lighter and stronger… an unmatched advantage for distance.

There’s a reason the best putters on tour don’t use LAB.
$?
This out performed the new ventus for me, the blue version lots of ballspeed
Your ass can even begin to play this. Your swing speed is to low measure shafts.
Yours was the best explanation yet. Thanks, and I subscribed. I'm in Westland. Do you have a fitting shop, and if so, where?
Seems like a very nice guy, but this just endless rambling. Took 25 minutes to get to the grip review, then 14 minutes to say what could have been said in 4. No harm intended, just constructive criticism and one man’s opinion
You were fitted into the LS 7 wood? I didn't know they had that, I thought it ended at a 5 wood for the LS range...
Hey could you review the Haywood CB’s? Ima a new golfer and looking to buy new irons which I could use for years so I’m leaning towards the Haywood CB’s. I’ve been using my buddies forged Mizuno 921’s and have been hitting them decently. Would you recommend CB irons so someone who’s just started playing?
