Much appreciate the honest review. I ordered a two-dot a couple days ago direct from Newton Golf. $275. Just looking for anything that might help me find a little more driver yardage. I’ve lost distance being a senior golfer. It will be interesting to see how much it helps. Not looking for miracles but any extra distance would be a help. (Playing to a 10 these days.) Thanks again.
I have the 4 dot and hit very good against my ventus blue , i have not gone to club champion and had the length shorten yet. i usually have my ventus at 44 1/2 total in the head. i noticed you said you had it cut down did they tip or cut from th butt? thx
@@modrngolf Thank you I first had in my Stealth 2 hd and hit it well and got a QI10 head and have been playing for about 3 months and i agree it smoothes your swing and you hit better. I will go see my friend at Club Champion. Next will be a fairway shaft for my 3 wood stealth 2 plus .. Thanks again
My driver swing speed is 95 to 98 mph which newton shaft would you pick? Playing a SIM Max playing an Evenflow 5.5 reg flex. I hit strait, I don’t have dispersion issues. I would just like to get a little more distance. From looking at the guide it appears to be a 4 dot, now that I see the guide.
Hey thanks for the info, I ordered a 3 dot and 4 dot because I felt like I was in between. Swing weight is important for my performance as I learned getting fitted at club champion. The higher the weight the less distance and smash factor benefitted. My swing speed is typically 90-100 (on the higher end if i get after it. What I’m looking for is accuracy, not distance I hit 230-280 off the tee depending on where on the face I catch it. I currently use a 55 stiff tenseii and have also had success with a 50 g hazurdus. Any thoughts or insight on if I’d like the 3 dot or the 4 dot? Thank you!
My SS is about the same as yours and I use the four dot. The accuracy is better for me than my other shafts, but it’s a different feel and trajectory for sure. Have you tested them at all on course?
I haven’t, I ordered them from the website after mulling it over for months! I called their customer service to determine what to order. Since I was in between she suggested ordered the 3 and the 4 and return the one I didn’t like. Otherwise it’s a long process to return/exchange for the 4 dot and then try to remember the feel of the 3. Anything you changed on your usual set up, ball position or anything to hit this shaft?
These shafts suck, nobody is using them, no winners of WLD with these shafts and zero records broken with this shaft. Everyone is pushing this product that has no pedigree to even sit on. The best shaft is Kinetixx Hypersonic, it’s a decade ahead of this Newton garbage. Marketing isn’t going to help this product. It’s already outdated considering how heavy it is.
Nobody is using them? check out the champions tour vans....there are dozens of players using them. You recommending a shaft is fair but it won't work for 90%+ of golfers and 95% of them won't be paying $400 for a driver shaft. I have seen great results from both my SIM head and my GT2 head with this shaft. A 57 gram shaft may work for you, but is really light for most golfers. You are fair to hate on any shaft you want, but saying a shaft sucks and no one uses them isn't a fair statement.
@@modrngolfNobody worth mentioning. It’s obviously the company trying to get them in the hands of no namers to push it into mainstream… the hypersonic has been out the same amount of time and still holds two world records for ball speed and distance. And unlike the Newton, it has people that actually win with it…
@@modrngolfKeep in mind, the champions tour is packed of aged 50 year old and older players. The only world long driver who was paid to promote them was in the top 50 in the world… that’s bad.. and he never won with it. So all this hype and advertising claims “World Long Drive shaft of the year” is a load of marketing crud. The Newton is noticeably heavier than the hypersonic, which means it’s outdated… if we are talking potential distance gains. This Newton is trying to be a hypersonic but it’s not caught up with technology and materials.
@@modrngolf I recommended the Hypersonic shaft to two people, and on first use gained an extra 40-50 yards switching from both a Kai Li white 60x… and a retired navy seal that was way more in shape than the two that were playing the Hypersonic, was playing a newton motion. He hit it straight mostly, but the two guys using the hypersonic out drove the Newton guy on every hole… Newton doesn’t have as much kick through the ball as the Hypersonic, and the hypersonic is way easier to swing far with no effort. Newton motion is a gimmick. It’s why nobody is making reviews about it without being a “partner” When the company has the gall to say it’s the driver shaft of the year and next year… they deserve every criticism coming their way when it doesn’t hold up. They are being pushed as distance kings… yet they are clearly not designed for distance. They are for slow swinging players that favor “improved”dispersion. For fast swingers, this would slow your clubspeed and the club is reported to lose control when swung fast compared to the best on the market. They need to stick to putters, they are trying to expand by puffing their chest with marketing talk. The best companies don’t ever need to do that. Kinetixx Hypersonic is the best shaft on the market when it comes to max kinetic energy transfer from club to ball while attaining max dispersion control. Full stop. No one even close. All the farthest and straightest shots recorded of recent have all been with a Kinetixx shaft… not up for debate. If you are willing to settle for 250 for an already outdated shaft, instead of paying 100 more for the best… that’s your prerogative. But I’m here to get the back of every player looking for the best, and a guide to avoid the smoke and mirrors approach Newton is using for “success”

Sounds like we swing very similar as far as going after it (hooks). So I'm assuming you had to change your tempo?
