- Today I will be showing you what my monthly expenses are as an intern in Austria. I believe it would be the same for a student. I cover all main topics like how much I pay for rent, transport, grocery, food, sim card and more.

You can also get the annual transportation ticket and pay it month by month. The advantage is that you can cancel the ticket whenever you want by the end of the month and wont need to pay the rest of the annual ticket.
Good if you dont stay for the entire year.
and 85€ per month for food is completely unrealistic. you should plan in ca 300€. (based on my experience 2023)

@@aromitamallik i cancelled my yearly subscription after about 6months and it all went without any problems. Didn't have to pay the rest of the year. Its a standard procedure for Wiener Linien

Hi Sania I have another question regarding bank account. Which bank we should choose as master student (not younger then 26)? And which account type? And how much time it would took to get the account opened after moving in?
Bank Austria always
I started with N26 because it has zero fees and is considered a travel card around Europe. But moving over to an Austrian bank is recommended

Great video sania. I have a quick question for you. I am a dentist and doing my master in dental public health from Boston university U.S.A. I am interested in working for W.H.O and u have already done internship in one of the U.N organization u will have a better idea. My question is that does one has to do statistical analysis or coding during internship or what exactly do we have to do the reason im asking is that being from a medical background this is not my strong side lol. Is it still the same as you said or different?
It will be different than what I mentioned but many students do the same thing of going to another city so shouldn’t be much expensive

University of Vienna is offering in English
Concerning the yearly transport fee, does it cover for all day in day out transport for the whole year or some terms and conditions are applied?
It covers all modes of transport without any terms and conditions. You can use buses, trams and trains (unlimited times) within Vienna with this card
