We currently live in Japan and we will be overseas for at least a year after this card releases so year one is a no brainer for us. Definitely going to apply for this product upon release.
Major Alaska issues seems to be semi-phantom partner award availability. I did a bunch of Alaska partner redemption searches (and found great AA availability across dates/destinations) before deciding to get Hawaiian card and move Amex points. Now when I try to book an AA award through AS, I get to the bitter end before 'We're sorry, we aren't able to confirm space on these partner flights..." Despite BA also showing the same AA space available. Call agent also couldn't book, referenced some internal memo about partner booking errors. So Alaska miles are worthless to me if I can't use them to book AA. I know FM reported on a temporary last-minute award booking block a month ago, I'd love it if they asked AS what's up with AA (maybe other partner?) award bookings.
Will you get any miles or points if you book partner airlines cash tickets e.g Qatar as Alaska cash partner tickets fully refundable ticket price is same as base fare whereas when you book through Qatar refundable tickets is twice more
If I buy the Yen equivalent of US$ 250,000 in Sony stock on the Nikkei and get 750,000 AS miles each purchase, I would buy then sell stock on non-US exchanges daily.
The new milestone, the partner and local award EQMs that counted tower your status, and etc benefits that are shared with AA like the shopping and restaurant portal with Bilt benefits that can be taken advantage of, and the new premium credit card with Bank Of America make it all in one ☝️ and place IMO, and i personally after securing the benefits of AA till 03/2026, the Alaska will be my main to take advantage of on 2025!
Thanks guys. Can’t wait to grab this one.

Thanks for the info + video!
This card may be the missing link for expats. Also, Savor is 3% on groceries and dining, and works perfectly in Europe.

I'm not a frequent flyer with Alaska Airlines. I'm with American Airlines. Would it be worth it? Great video ❤
It’ll be good to have a new card that will shake up the other cc issuers and get them out their comfort zone.
It’s not gonna shake up the game tho. It’s a mid premium card
Bilt transfers to Alaska at a 1:1 ratio
