  • After getting permission to leave the parade ground, Drum Major Neil Jamieson leads the massed Pipes and Drums playing 'Cock o' the North' at Gordon Barracks, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, Scotland. This was part of the 2019 Armed Forces Day celebrations in Scotland.
The parade included Lonach Pipe Band, Huntly & District Pipe Band, Kintore Pipe Band, Ballater & District Pipe Band, Aberdeen UOTC Drums and Pipes and the The London Scottish Pipes and Drums. The audience also included many veteran military servicemen and veterans associations.
Cock o'the North is a 6/8 time military march and bagpipe tune, with the title coming from the nickname of Alexander Gordon, 4th Duke of Gordon, who in 1794 raised the 92nd Regiment of Foot, which later became the Gordon Highlanders.
