Hi, I watched your juniper grafting videos. Great work. I also grafted in the spring of 2023. Can I try to unpack the graft now in the fall of 2024? When can I remove the juniper from the parent plant. Thank you
@@robertfrimer4499 if you have roots growing in the layer then you definitely can remove. I remove usually after 3-4 months as there are lots of roots.
Congratulations on the success of the graftings. I hope the weak one has finally fused by now. Did you expose the cambium in both plants (donor and parent)? And was the wound so wide that both cambium sides matched each other? Great vids - keep it up ;)
Thanks mate for another informative video it makes easy approach to lovers of bonsai i am looking forward to your summer work on pines
I personaly like needle junipers but I respect your decision to graft the tree the shimpaku have great foliage
Greetings from Canada! Awesome video.
what do you do once the graft takes? Do you just cut the limb away from the pot?
Woodrow W. Yep that is the plan.
David, fantástico vídeo! Um abraço.
That looked very fiddly. Will be totally worth it though
Can't fathom why he doesn't show how the grafting process is done. Maybe he was inspired by those speed paintings that show off but don't teach a damn thing. Or maybe my mind reader hat is malfunctioning.
