Personally, I love the range of sounds the entire group make, but singing a song like this with minimal vocal instrumentation is awesome also!

1. I did not notice that there was no beat-boxing; I was just mesmerized by the gorgeous harmonies and impeccable timing.
2. I love the beat-box background; it's always been used judiciously. This song simply didn't need it.
In our house when this song is played, everything stops. The silence is such that you could hear a pin drop! It feels irreverent if you even breath. So beautiful.
Made the mistake of listening to this on headphones in the pub. Now everyone's looking at me funny as I cry happy tears and I don't care at all. This is just transcendent.

This is the absolute purest, cleanest, most inspired harmony I've ever experienced.
I've always loved good harmony, but now I fear that no other singers will be able to inspire the same uplifting, energizing, soul swelling emotional surge I get from this song.

Quite frankly I am shocked that this video doesn't have 1000 times the views. This is an absolutely beautiful song and video performed and edited to perfection. I can never listen to it just once. I played this video as students were coming into my class one day. It was amazing to see how high schoolers stopped talking to listen. They recognized how unbelievably talented these five are.
The pure sound of loving someone with all your heart who doesn't even know your alive. You spend every bittersweet day the same way...helplessly hoping.
While I am extremely thankful for Crosby Stills & Nash (and in this case, for Stills' English teacher who taught him about alliteration), Home Free has the unusual habit of making their covers sound better than the originals. The contrast between the tenor/high tenor and the bass is breathtaking. A piece that stays with you.
It's a real treat when Adam Rupp sings.

Guys, don't get mi wrong. I love every single song you've had released before. But this one - it's more than perfect. It's pure art, magic and acapella. For me - you can do all your songs like this one. It's totally simple but there's such a beauty in this. Your voices are so good that need nothing more. This cover made my day and still gives me chills. Marvelous.

Wow, they perform this song is so amazingly that...well, I just don't know how to put it into words.
I've been suffering from a debilitating case of Clinical Depression now for well over 15 years...it has gotten me so numb that I haven't been able to feel any, or at least any stronger emotions.
But hearing this song for the first time I actually burst out into tears - for the first time in almost 2 DECADES.

When my father was in the military a fight broke out. A gentleman decided to sing the Lord's prayer. The fight ended and you could hear a pin drop when this gentleman was singing. The Lord's prayer, I know home free would be fantastically wonderful at singing this prayer. Thank you boys.

there are not enough words for the guys to really give it on.
They take every song and make it better. They made a simple black and white video and with just their voice’s they turned it into a hauntingly beautiful song. The harmonizing was unbelievable and then there’s the bass! It gave me goosebumps and chills. Home Free definitely made it unforgettable. I love them, each individual is star quality and together they are untouchable.
There is absolutely no possible way to get tighter, more perfect harmonies than they did in this song! I wish I could just close my eyes and listen to this for days....

Is it just me or does anyone else feel that this version is just a big warm blanket of vocals that wrap around you and hug you tight. I didn't want it to finish and it's just eargasmic :-) voices of angels. Please Home Free come back to Australia and come to Adelaide as I would definitely attend a concert of yours. If you sing this in Shipshiwana Indiana July 1, I will be the "older" lady on your left about 7 rows from the stage, with tears running down her cheeks. Crosby Stills Nash & Young were "my" group in first years of college. Love love close harmony, very talented musicians. The tears are from how the music moves me....and of course, a very broken heart during college. Oh well, life goes on.
I have no words. Pure perfection. Here is another example of why you new song writers shouldn't leave out the basses. You may not know how to write for them but most guys who sing bass instinctively know what to do already. They support the other parts of a song beautifully.
Totally agree! Tim (and Chance) just bring a richness to the songs that are missing on other groups that don't have that bass presence.

Spectacular alcapella aside, the black and white visual aspect is superb
It takes a lot of guts to attempt an a capella arrangement for a song like Helplessly Hoping, leaning so heavily on just the vocal skills of the artists....unless you’re really good. And guys, you are really good.

I loved this one. It was a pleasant sound when Tim hit the low notes a few times in the song. I know so many are in love with Tim's looks and his bass notes. I am in awe of his total range. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at all of their ranges. It was nice to hear Adam Rupp too. Just five men with AMAZING TALENTS and this song just having them sing was sublime.
The fact that they are so in sync, down the the downward slope at the end of a phrase, and each breath, i thought it was one person, till my dad told me it was two, then it became 3, then more, to be that in sync, this is incredible

OK. I may be showing my age a little. I remember my parents rocking this song and Seven Bridges Road on the radio and falling in love with them. I'm torn between which I prefere more, the old or the new, but HOLY COW!!! If you love the sound of the human voice brought together in harmonies that blown the roof off these guys are amazing!!! Wish more people would get behind them and this kind of music. Just, WOW!!! May I suggest that in a similar vein, maybe "All the Gold in California" please?

Not only are their voices outstanding and pitch perfect, they are picture perfect to look at! I love that they are all about the same height. They just have a look and sound that draws you in and keeps you there. They are the group that keeps on giving!

I love this song and your rendition. I’ve always thought it was about a young couple, but I teared up tonight listening. My step mom of 30+ years was diagnosed with cancer, and due to other health issues she’s been in and out of the hospital. She’s in the ER at the moment, on Thanksgiving Day, and this just made me cry thinking of my dad and her. “Wordless watching at the widow” really got me today. You are all awesome.
Would hit the Like button on endless repeat if possible! Just sublime: each voice is so distinct and beautiful, harmonies are killer, the arrangement is stellar, the production makes the song quite haunting. Another one hit way, WAY out of the ballpark. Home Free remains exceptional in every way. In my top 5 musical groups, listen to y'all constantly, soothes my soul.

The harmonies. The way your individual voices are highlighted by the whole. The depth and the height. Home Free are always briljant. Even so, this is, as some of your earlier songs, lifting it to the next level.
