This was a lot more well-done than your usual videos on this type of topic. For once, you say it the examples aren't cherry-picked and that really feels true. A lot of these videos feel rushed and the examples suck, with some of them even being debatably not mistakes at all. In this video meanwhile it doesn't feel like you're stretching just to find a teachable moment or some easily identifiable flaw in someone's gameplay. The advice actually seems valid and useful, as opposed to something you just made up to make content for a video.
I noticed some rly strange thing when I started playing Ahri in silver elo at EUW. This champ made me just react to what they do and i noticed that they're gonna throw no matter what I do. I literally cannot lose without intentionally griefing the game or my teammates intentionally griefing the game. I lose in silver only if I do a lot of terrible mistakes or my 1/4 jungle zed just disconnects at minute 15 while score is actually 8-15 (bad but winnable)
I reach diamond last week. Nothing has changed, people still play like silver in this elo. The only difference its in this elo mistakes get punish thats all
the Kai sa vs Renek shows one of the most dominant mistakes from diamond and below. People in that elo don't know how to abuse a melee as a range. That's why botlane is always so onesided in those games. You can see a Lucian or a Caitlin playing passive against a Vayne

@@Kaminex My guy, if your ADC isn't CSing at the start, hes probably trying to stack because he feels unconfident in the fight early and wants JNG pressure while farming. I cant imagine how many lanes you've destroyed doing this.. meanwhile they just didn't want to keep the lane in neutral / enemy territory and maybe wanted to safe farm away from pressure lol
i'll be honest even challengers make low elo mistakes they are just more aware i have a gm freind when i watch him play i see mistakes even tho i am only plat and most of his mistakes are because of greedy plays

This is all great and solid advice, but what if your jungler never comes mid to gank? The issue with trying to get out of low elo is that league is a team game (obviously). Which means even if you play well, you'll still lose if other people on your team are making game-changing mistakes--or simply aren't playing smartly. Especially if it's your jungler.
In high elo they will never ever admit that because they are placed to high elo every single season and they do not have to think about problems like these. When the game was good they climed up and stayed there. :-) They have actually no clue about problems like these thats why they keep saying "you can win ur own game all alone"
I understand that if you are getting camped by the enemy jungler and your own jungler doesnt react to that sure that’s a fault on your jungler’s part. But if you are losing lane, especially in a matchup that should be favorable to you, all alone. Don’t blame the jungler for that. There are probably a few things to be learned by you if that happens. Focus on what you can control, and what you can control is improving your own skills. If you’re 0/3 all solo kills to your enemy laner, perhaps you should look internally and think about where your laning went wrong instead of passing blame. TLDR I main jungle and it’s irritating when people constantly blame the jungler for their own mistakes and lost lanes.
@@AlbertStone92 A while ago, I had an account with average mmr sitting at bronze 2, I then decided to climb on that one, I got to diamond in around 80 games, I was only Diamond 2 on my main, but still, even when I had a 0/17 botlane Id still win, the people at those elos do SO MANY mistakes, you can just sit back and they will give you the windows for the kills all the time.
@@batatadoce3025 This is bullshit. Assuming you had a 100% win rate, considering an average of 15lps per game, plus the fact that you have to play promos, with 80 games you can reach Gold 1 at best. And on top of that I would say: 80 games is A LOT of games. Not everyone has that kind of time. I might play 80 games in a month if I play "a lot". Assuming instead a more appropriate 60% winrate, 80 games would get you a net positive of 240lps, which is really not much. So I should play a month with a really high WR just to get from Silver IV to Silver II.
[sorry in advance for tldr] I can 100% say achieving d4 isn't as hard as I thought it would be. It's a matter of knowledge and timing. The big issue I see (including my experience of abusing an op champ to rank up fast) is that climbing with one champion and being a OTP is so detrimental. New patch hits, your champion gets gutted, can't play anything else because yes, my otp might be d3 skill, but the rest of the champion pool I can barely play at a consistent level. And I see it often in my games, other players but also me. This is a big thing that made me hit the wall in d3 and I can only encourage people to play more than one champ. I also see a lot of otp in d4/d3 being stubborn and still, for example, playing their F tier champion even if it's lowkey trolling, because they don't know what else to play. Maybe it works in bronze/gold elo, but that still gets punished hard the higher you climb. I also see a lot of autofilled people who have no idea what they are doing and that is another problem on its own that I cannot blame them for, there's little you can do when you get autofilled one game in twenty in jungle and never learn to play it consistently. The two last patches have been a huge reality check for me for that reason alone and I think it is only encouraging me to learn more champions and find new options.
I mean I play what I am good at and not what's S+ Tier lol, doesn't matter if I Q in diamond or not... And just so u know, u can carry with every F tier champ in diamond.. People in this rank make so many mistakes, u can't say F tier champs lose u the game... That's what u can say in gm-chally games lol

Funny 2 people answered my comment. One said u are more likely to lose playing bad champs and the second one said it doesn't matter what champ u play, it's all about skill. So what is it know xD See I am only diamond, so I can't tell what its like in challenger. But from watching streams, most of the time games get dodged when someone is first timing a champ. But if someone picks an F Tier champ, which he has played 400 games with this season, usually people accept it and keep playing.
My genuine advice here is to just avoid meta whoring like the plague. I know it might seems like it'll make climbing easier, which is true to an extent, but it has a few problems: 1 - You're basically constantly forced to switch mains, meaning that people will always have more matchup experience than you. 2 - Inflating your elo with OP picks will mean that you'll end up against people that are more knowledgeable and/or skilled than you. And if the game somehow ends up in a balanced state, or if the next OP pick is something that really doesn't click with you, then you're about to get stomped in a lot of your upcoming games. 3 - OP champions tend to get picked and banned quite frequently, and enemy teams might even dodge upon seeing you lock it in. So you'll have a hard time actually getting the champion you want. 4 - It messes a bit with your general habits, since you'll get away with a lot more when you're playing someone who's OP. This is mainly because you'll mostly win by default if your opponent is playing a balanced or weak champion. Your opponent has to outplay you, but you don't have to outplay your opponent. 5 - It's also a pretty unfun way to play the game. Wins don't feel satisfying because it feels like you've won due to champion diff, not due to actually outsmarting your opponents fair and square. And loosing feels even worse than usual, because you've basically got beaten while having a cheat code activated. And you also don't get to play what you enjoy, because you're forced to spam whatever Riot has decided to make strong, or whatever weird build some Koreans have came up with. And if you don't, then you're going to loose and get demoted because again, you inflated your elo by being a metaslave. I know that abusing the meta seems like a good idea, but trust me, it's better to find a fairly balanced champion that you enjoy. Practice that champion until you get the mechanics and the gameplans right, and try to look out for any mistakes you might make, so you could figure out how to prevent them in the future. That doesn't mean you must play only one champion in one specific role of course. It's always good have 1 or 2 backup champions for games in which you really don't want to pick your main, and you also want 1 or 2 champs in your secondary role. I've been personally running Aurelion Sol as my main pick with Seraphine being my backup choice, and if I get my secondary role, support, then it's Bard - Rell (it used to be Senna - Bard, but since Senna is stupidly broken right now, I'd rather just ban her, and start picking her again once she gets nerfed into a healthy spot). Was it rough when I first started playing these champs? Yeah, it definitely was, to an extent. But the long term reward was more than worth it. (Which wasn't just LP and a positive winrate, but a lot of fun too.)
OK, I'm back to watching these videos as they are again of use for me to consume, since before I already knew alot of stuff as information because I had watched alot of this content. But it was hard for me to learn the neuances of the game, since my mechanics are among the most dickish things you have ever seen. I spent almost a year soft-inting in normals, to not onyl get my mental in better order, but to also force myself to mechanically outplay people instead of trying to out macro them, followed by random mechanical misplays, so severe they are banable. Basically, the core of macro most important to know is to just know when wave is a freeze, and to know to always always always, no matter the situation try to crash after you get a kill, I did that, but I am now in a position where my brain is starved for solutions to problems I am facing when playing, and so I will be trying to focus on smaller macro details, for example, I will try to force myself to play as if I know my oponent is a mechanical genuis. And see what I need to do better from a purely macro standpoint, terrible mechanics makes it hard to learn stuff.
I’m hardstuck platinum because LoL makes me lose 15lp per game while gaining 11lp per game. Most of my teammates always grief anyways in platinum. Literally can’t climb when they grief so hard.
More like learn from your most frequent mistakes like I was literally walking up to fight people in minion waves trying to force unecissary fights and it was costing me lane learning some basic wave control has helped my game immensely even my worst lanes aren't as bad because I learned those mistakes it's often simple things that's f*cking you up.
Mate, most diamonds I know (literally only 1 or 2 people are the exception), are just greedy, aggressive, tilted and toxic players. And often they are so self absolved that, although they can indeed carry a full team given the right circumstances, they are in no way good team players, something that is very notable when they have to play in teams such as in clash or flex, or when they are just playing normals with some friends.
For me I feel like honestly while my mechanics and champ pool as a support I would consider bronze/silver tier AT BEST, my brain for where people should be (and shouldnt) on my team, where the play is, when to take a chance vs not I feel for me is prob more gold/plat. So how does one play in bronze/silver and KNOW better 90% of the time if the other 4 on my team do not? To me that's what's the most frustrating thing for me. It's not about my random teammates mechanics or even knowledge of the champ they play, its the dumb mistakes or plays they make.
This is true when playing against autofilled in diamond, I often am triggered because they don’t punish me when I tunnel vision into a cs or make a bad recall or bad roam or anything. It is tilting because you play around opponent being ready to punish you, and it playing poorly prevents your from accurately predicting the next few minutes.
6:28 I have an idea for a video. Make a commentary on videos like this punish and mistakes. No taking sides of anyone but like this part to guess who would win. I don't really care of elo of each person, but mostly in what is happening from the perspective of someone watching who's higher than the players. As a low Elo player, sometimes I don't see a mistake of either side since none of us punished it. This part teached me more to observe my mistakes both as a punisher and punished as well as how the game is being played and want could/should happen. I see to much in videos about auto analytics but what if the lower elo person doesn't know what the problem is in the first place? I'm in gold and most of my analysis is how the trading pattern is, vision and jgs. So yes, i believe most of us focus too much on How's the fight done instead of goals and how to change the tide of how is it going. Personally I feel it's a bit harder in my case since most guides don't focus on supports that are not hook, like an enchanter without focusing on roaming and I feel i have to analyse 4 people. Which i feel it's ironic as sup since we are the ones who influence the fight heavily outside of cheer damage
One thing I learned with Leblanc is: If you want to poke you just w in, instantly w back and laugh as the enemy whiffs every skillshot because you aren't pointblank anymore. Leblanc turns this game from league of legends to find the funny french woman
Diamond is the bastard middle child of the family. I remember when I finally hit Diamond I thought my days of toxicity and dumb teammates were over. Only it got worse, people lower rank will call you boosted if you lose to them and people in higher rank will still tell you to “gEt GuD kiD..” League is one of those games where you don’t let the rank of your playstyle get to your head. You have to genuinely enjoy/understand the game in general to get respect. No one gives a fuck about what rank you are. Challengers get shitted on still with shit teammates. It’s just how the community is. You can never change the community, you can however change the way you play/choose to look at things. Be a part of the sheep and be a toxic fuck, or just be a G and learn to enjoy the game and troll the toxic players. Once you’re good enough you can troll the toxic players then carry them to piss them off more.
That last paragraph... how about you just play the game without trying to antagonize your own team? It's a game. You all queued up because you love this game and are wasting time together. Why choose to be toxic in the first place?
Not really. I’d say most of the population could actually reach Diamond. It’s a simply a matter of actual effort, playing ranked everyday and saying you can’t make it isn’t the same as actually taking ranked seriously and doing everything you can to make Diamond. I use wasd camera and I know for a fact that it holds me back from reaching plat, been in promos multiple times and I know Diamond wouldn’t be far off if I just had a normal camera instead of the wild shit my friends see when I stream my games for them. However I’m stubborn to give up this play style even though I know they game would be some much easier if I did. Being stubborn is the reason people don’t climb 99% of the time. Low elo players have too much pride and refuse to listen to proper advise when tilted (myself included at times)

As a diamond player, yes diamond players make mistakes but it's against other diamond players as everyone is playing relatively solid. Same as how a silver player can outplay other silvers sometimes but a diamond smurf shows even in a plat game and stomps the game easily.
@@13YoJest13 Incorrect fam. May 31-June 1 I played 5 games. Support main, mostly Swain rn. Two of those games had trolls, dancing all over the map, inting, stealing XP and gold, letting their opponent sweep the map, afk and back to avoid loss mitigation, you name it. (Got a single key fragment for reporting both, thx Rito...). Of the remaining 3 matches? Won 1/5/15 and 3/3/21. Lost 6/10/14, but my mid was 11/17 my adc 12/11 my jg 6/14 and top 2/9, against a fed 23/5 Viego. I dealt the most dmg on my team despite being support. I had the highest vision score. I didn't die until laning phase was over, then it was my tilted team refusing to group or play safe. So, quick math, I had 2w-3l. One L was team diff which happens, I have no problem with people having rough matches as it happens to all of us. But the other two with inting trolls? We did our best but failed the 4v5s (which true 4v5s would have been better had they not been feeding). That's a 2/3 WR for standard games, and 40% of my matches automatic losses due to trolls. That unfortunately reflects my typical games, 30-40% of my games since April have had some form of griefing/ AI robots/ inting (not just rough games feeding but trolling), and I have an ~80% WR when all 10 of us are playing for keeps. How is anyone supposed to climb when 40% of the time they queue they face an automatic loss no matter how well they support? Winning 80% of the remaining 60% puts me around a 55% WR overall when fair matches would have my WR at least 70% in my elo. Combine that with the "loss streaks that just happen" (with more afks and such) and within a week I've lost a division's worth of LP. How can I reach diamond with that? Oh, right, I can't, because my mmr's dogwater for getting queued with two AI robots in the same match. At one point I was earing 9LP and losing 23LP despite having a WR around 70% regardless of trolls. Still, with the patch update and now having much closer LP gains? I still lost a solid 20LP over those 5 games. 3w, 2l, -20LP, when 2 of those losses were due to the 0/11 Heim griefing us that his main was banned (by the enemy), inting to Sett then roaming and stealing gold/xp from us laners then running it down solo across the map, and a 6/12 Elise was an alt account for a streamer, had to throw my match to stay in that elo, so they'd dance for 14 sec here and there over 4min the whole match, stand in a wave and aa without last hitting, never warded objectives or contested, walked into 1v3s without casting anything... How am I supposed to be able to climb when my LP isn't worth as much to Rito as the Elise and Heim still being able to play? When no matter how well I play in other matches it all gets thrown out by the 40% of matches I get trolls? (On 5/28-29 my Sup Swain games I went 4/2/21, 6/2/10, 5/6/12, 3/4/4 and my team ff'd while I dealt the more than triple the dmg the next highest on my team did, 3/3/23, 2/9/15 (still had the least deaths on my team smh), and 16/8/22 with an overextending adc Vayne having a tantrum that she kept dying while I cleaned up who afk'd after we had their nexus at 10% Of those 6 matches? I won 2.) So, no. I will never reach Diamond. Why? I'm in my 30s, female, and can't/won't dedicate my life to playing beyond trying to learn and improve. Even if I did play full time, I scientifically have a far slower reaction time to my early 20s male competitors, I'm on the west coast so 80ms ping is good for me, oh, and 40% of my matches are thrown by trolls/ afks that Riot does NOTHING about! If the system had fair matches, if there was actual punishments for afk, if we were measured by outplaying our lane opponents with a 5LP for w/l instead of it all being dependent on the team (think track vs ref-less basketball), I might be able to climb. As is though? Why should I invest time into ranked when Riot themselves won't keep their own playground clean? I'm not climbing, and 40% of the time my performance doesn't even matter because of the Yuumi and Amumu and Sona bots that mean support main me gets autofilled...

I hit Diamond recently primarily learning through skill capped content so I probs feel the unnecessary need to defend them when people criticize their videos lol

Like you are probably more mechanically gifted, better at focusing, and maybe even on lower ping than the average player on your server. Like I already know almost everything skill capped tells me(about jg at least) but I'm really bad at making it happen in game bc my quick thinking/focus levels are bad. So that's why I'm stuck at plat 2. Maybe also bc I play on 70-100 ping lol
@@georgeroth3042 oof yeah 70-100 ping sounds rough. But I really really don’t think I’m mechanically gifted at the game, which is why I have a tiny champ pool of fairly simple champs. I was stuck low-mid plat for a while, and what actually really helped for me was being strict with playing schedule. I started playing 3 games a day starting at 7:00 with a 5 min break between each and then immediately log out. Trains your brain that 7:00 is focus on league time. Climbed from Plat 3 to D4 in like 3 weeks once I started the schedule. It helps with the focusing aspect for sure

It's just a lie they keep saying you can make game losing mistakes but act like your team can't make game losing mistakes. Whenever a high elo player goes into low elo in current meta they lose and just say they're "not trying" or cherry pick duo games that they won. These people are only high elo because they've been there for ages and larping, after silver the players get worse and worse. And EUW doesn't count you have a team on that server.

I'm sorry but calling these "GAME LOSING MISTAKES" is silly and a big stretch. As if it matters that you took a skillshot for free by the 30th minute. Game losing mistake is when you get caught while big objectives like dragon soul/ elder / baron are up
game losing because of snowball effect. poke out of lane means lose xp, means enemy level up for objective , means u cant rotate or if u do you lose the 2v2, means that enemy gets objective, means ur jungler starts trolling because he needs to get an advantage after losing both scuttle and dragon, means ur bottom starts sucking because enemy mid is roaming and u cant contest bc ur still behind in levels, these are game losing. small errors lead to big game losing mistakes IF ENEMY EXECUTED PROPERLY, which nobody does ever in low elo.
Im not sure this is accurate. You didn't mention what to do when 4 of your teammates are feeding at a rapid pace. Every enemy has 10 kills by 15 mins and they are basically one shotting your team. The game is over imo
Or your team has the lead them someone rage afks or trolls. I left another way too long comment, ~40% of my matches since April have been lost due to 4v5 for whatever reason. Climbing isn't possible when the teams aren't there, and I automatically lose nearly half the games I queue into over it. There's only so much carrying a support main can do with teams that can't carry (made worse when you deal the most dmg on your team... as the support... give them kills and they lack the skills to keep up and ignore your pings).

Absolutely. I play with 100ms and 60 fps and I'm hardstuck plat. So once I have 50 ms and 200 fps I'll reach high diamond for sure. I have good decession, good cs per min and everything as well.
I won Diamond games when I was overseas playing in EUW from California with 200+ ping. The only issue are highly mechanical champions like Nidalee, Lee Sin and you don't have to play them when you can play Garen top or Xin Zhao.

I was literally a top tier Osu Player, played in the world championship as a captain for my country twice, reached the highest level of play in Apex Legends, but i literally can't climb because i want to end it after 2 games of league. I have a 59 % winrate but i literally can't climb. xd

You can blame noone else. In league however the team aspect is really breaking the game for me. This is complete crap.. they show a lot of mid games with no random supports roaming without missing pings and hardly any secondary midlaners (junglers) living there or allied adc's running it down
You need to learn how to beat your own teammates. You need to go into it with the mentally that you're going into a 1v9 fight till someone on your team proof the contrary. Do not trust your teammates to make good decision, do not follow their stupid mistake and do not try to correct their mistake by taking fights. Stick to your gameplan ALWAYS. Do not let yourself get drag down by their mediocrity. You don't have to be out there creating fights, you don't need to be out there trying to outplay a situation where is a 1v3 or 2v4, you don't need to be forcing situations. The reality is that players bellow Masters will destroy themselves much of the times. They will make stupid mistakes and you should take advantage of them. Play to your powerspikes and take fights base on it them. Understand your champion strong points ,weaknesses and play around it. Reaching Diamond is not hard itself because the skill of the players on the other side are not really good and their game knowledge is not good either. @@Zygarde-zp7gr this dumb mentality loses u more games than u think. It's called the "super star mentality", I have 4 bots on the team I must 1v9 or I will lose. Reality being, even if u r climbing and doing well, you're still not much better than the other 9 players in the game. Sometimes someone on the team will be the carry and your win condition is to play accordingly. Example: I'm playing Renekton vs Riven. The lane was easy but she had a premade jungler and I got dove 3 times and now I'm behind on a champion that doesn't scale well. I have a fed ADC on the team that can probably carry if he stays alive. Now here is where the outcome of the game may come to: if I play the dumb way listed above, I will go on someone and try to full combo this, guess what, I do no damage, insta die and my team loses the rest of the fight 4v5 and we lose the game. Now the correct way of playing it: I sit on the ADC, if anyone tries to get on him I use my CC and peel for him. He carries the fight and we win the game. Now I'm not saying you shouldn't play to carry. I play every game with the mentality of winning lane and carrying game. But anyone who isn't smurfing in a much lower elo than his skill will lose lane sometimes for different reasons no matter how good. At that point u better cooperate with your fed team mates, if you have any, because playing the ego way means your team is playing 4v6 with how dumb u r.

If E take your example, you play vs a free match up. First of all, as a lancer you should be knowing where the enemy jungler is before doing a play. You should be able to manage your wave accordingly as well. If not, you are not playing your lane properly or the best way possible. But if somehow you fuck up your lane because you get camped. Your goal is to die as less as possible to absorb all the ennemy jungle's attention without dying. Yes, you get behind in CS but you might lose even if you played your best if your team can't get a lead elsewhere. But if your team gets a lead, it means that they become the win con and you aren't anymore. They played better than expected, you have to play around them and put your ego aside to take the win. Anyway, you misunderstood what the original mindset described was about. If you want to climb efficiently in SoloQ, you shouldn't rely on your mates and expect anything from them because you are the only constant variable in your games (they might play well one game but not the next one's, you can't control them). Of course, if they play well, you can play around them and sit of the fed guy but that won't happen every game especially in low elo (below Diamond, and in Diamond elo too). Your example is not really relevant because you are talking about a specific situation when I'm talking about a mindset which is more general and should be applied in every soloQ game if you want to maximize your chance of winning : Play like if you are 1v9 unless your teammates proves you wrong. And when I say play like if you are 1v9, it doesn't mean run into the entire enemy team all alone, but to play smart, punish mistakes, take good fights, know your champions limits, etc. I hope you got my point, have a great day.

This was a lot more well-done than your usual videos on this type of topic. For once, you say it the examples aren't cherry-picked and that really feels true. A lot of these videos feel rushed and the examples suck, with some of them even being debatably not mistakes at all. In this video meanwhile it doesn't feel like you're stretching just to find a teachable moment or some easily identifiable flaw in someone's gameplay. I noticed some rly strange thing when I started playing Ahri in silver elo at EUW. This champ made me just react to what they do and i noticed that they're gonna throw no matter what I do. I literally cannot lose without intentionally griefing the game or my teammates intentionally griefing the game. I lose in silver only if I do a lot of terrible mistakes or my 1/4 jungle zed just disconnects at minute 15 while score is actually 8-15 (bad but winnable)

the Kai sa vs Renek shows one of the most dominant mistakes from diamond and below. People in that elo don't know how to abuse a melee as a range. That's why botlane is always so onesided in those games. You can see a Lucian or a Caitlin playing passive against a Vayne

This is all great and solid advice, but what if your jungler never comes mid to gank? The issue with trying to get out of low elo is that league is a team game (obviously). Which means even if you play well, you'll still lose if other people on your team are making game-changing mistakes--or simply aren't playing smartly. Especially if it's your jungler.
In high elo they will never ever admit that because they are placed to high elo every single season and they do not have to think about problems like these. When the game was good they climed up and stayed there. :-) They have actually no clue about problems like these thats why they keep saying "you can win ur own game all alone"
I understand that if you are getting camped by the enemy jungler and your own jungler doesnt react to that sure that’s a fault on your jungler’s part. But if you are losing lane, especially in a matchup that should be favorable to you, all alone. Don’t blame the jungler for that. There are probably a few things to be learned by you if that happens. Focus on what you can control, and what you can control is improving your own skills. If you’re 0/3 all solo kills to your enemy laner, perhaps you should look internally and think about where your laning went wrong instead of passing blame.
TLDR I main jungle and it’s irritating when people constantly blame the jungler for their own mistakes and lost lanes.

@@AlbertStone92 A while ago, I had an account with average mmr sitting at bronze 2, I then decided to climb on that one, I got to diamond in around 80 games, I was only Diamond 2 on my main, but still, even when I had a 0/17 botlane Id still win, the people at those elos do SO MANY mistakes, you can just sit back and they will give you the windows for the kills all the time.

And on top of that I would say: 80 games is A LOT of games. Not everyone has that kind of time. I might play 80 games in a month if I play "a lot".
Assuming instead a more appropriate 60% winrate, 80 games would get you a net positive of 240lps, which is really not much. So I should play a month with a really high WR just to get from Silver IV to Silver II.
[sorry in advance for tldr] I can 100% say achieving d4 isn't as hard as I thought it would be. It's a matter of knowledge and timing. The big issue I see (including my experience of abusing an op champ to rank up fast) is that climbing with one champion and being a OTP is so detrimental. New patch hits, your champion gets gutted, can't play anything else because yes, my otp might be d3 skill, but the rest of the champion pool I can barely play at a consistent level. And I see it often in my games, other players but also me. This is a big thing that made me hit the wall in d3 and I can only encourage people to play more than one champ. I also see a lot of otp in d4/d3 being stubborn and still, for example, playing their F tier champion even if it's lowkey trolling, because they don't know what else to play. Maybe it works in bronze/gold elo, but that still gets punished hard the higher you climb. I also see a lot of autofilled people who have no idea what they are doing and that is another problem on its own that I cannot blame them for, there's little you can do when you get autofilled one game in twenty in jungle and never learn to play it consistently. The two last patches have been a huge reality check for me for that reason alone and I think it is only encouraging me to learn more champions and find new options.

See I am only diamond, so I can't tell what its like in challenger. But from watching streams, most of the time games get dodged when someone is first timing a champ. But if someone picks an F Tier champ, which he has played 400 games with this season, usually people accept it and keep playing.
My genuine advice here is to just avoid meta whoring like the plague. I know it might seems like it'll make climbing easier, which is true to an extent, but it has a few problems:
1 - You're basically constantly forced to switch mains, meaning that people will always have more matchup experience than you.
2 - Inflating your elo with OP picks will mean that you'll end up against people that are more knowledgeable and/or skilled than you. And if the game somehow ends up in a balanced state, or if the next OP pick is something that really doesn't click with you, then you're about to get stomped in a lot of your upcoming games.
3 - OP champions tend to get picked and banned quite frequently, and enemy teams might even dodge upon seeing you lock it in. So you'll have a hard time actually getting the champion you want.
4 - It messes a bit with your general habits, since you'll get away with a lot more when you're playing someone who's OP. This is mainly because you'll mostly win by default if your opponent is playing a balanced or weak champion. Your opponent has to outplay you, but you don't have to outplay your opponent.
5 - It's also a pretty unfun way to play the game. Wins don't feel satisfying because it feels like you've won due to champion diff, not due to actually outsmarting your opponents fair and square. And loosing feels even worse than usual, because you've basically got beaten while having a cheat code activated. And you also don't get to play what you enjoy, because you're forced to spam whatever Riot has decided to make strong, or whatever weird build some Koreans have came up with. And if you don't, then you're going to loose and get demoted because again, you inflated your elo by being a metaslave.
I know that abusing the meta seems like a good idea, but trust me, it's better to find a fairly balanced champion that you enjoy. Practice that champion until you get the mechanics and the gameplans right, and try to look out for any mistakes you might make, so you could figure out how to prevent them in the future.
That doesn't mean you must play only one champion in one specific role of course. It's always good have 1 or 2 backup champions for games in which you really don't want to pick your main, and you also want 1 or 2 champs in your secondary role.
I've been personally running Aurelion Sol as my main pick with Seraphine being my backup choice, and if I get my secondary role, support, then it's Bard - Rell (it used to be Senna - Bard, but since Senna is stupidly broken right now, I'd rather just ban her, and start picking her again once she gets nerfed into a healthy spot).
Was it rough when I first started playing these champs? Yeah, it definitely was, to an extent. But the long term reward was more than worth it. (Which wasn't just LP and a positive winrate, but a lot of fun too.)

After watching some simple advices from this channel I do feel being more aggressive and not sucking so much as adc.
OK, I'm back to watching these videos as they are again of use for me to consume, since before I already knew alot of stuff as information because I had watched alot of this content. But it was hard for me to learn the neuances of the game, since my mechanics are among the most dickish things you have ever seen. I spent almost a year soft-inting in normals, to not onyl get my mental in better order, but to also force myself to mechanically outplay people instead of trying to out macro them, followed by random mechanical misplays, so severe they are banable. Basically, the core of macro most important to know is to just know when wave is a freeze, and to know to always always always, no matter the situation try to crash after you get a kill, I did that, but I am now in a position where my brain is starved for solutions to problems I am facing when playing, and so I will be trying to focus on smaller macro details, for example, I will try to force myself to play as if I know my oponent is a mechanical genuis. And see what I need to do better from a purely macro standpoint, terrible mechanics makes it hard to learn stuff.
I’m hardstuck platinum because LoL makes me lose 15lp per game while gaining 11lp per game. Most of my teammates always grief anyways in platinum. Literally can’t climb when they grief so hard.

More like learn from your most frequent mistakes like I was literally walking up to fight people in minion waves trying to force unecissary fights and it was costing me lane learning some basic wave control has helped my game immensely even my worst lanes aren't as bad because I learned those mistakes it's often simple things that's f*cking you up.
Mate, most diamonds I know (literally only 1 or 2 people are the exception), are just greedy, aggressive, tilted and toxic players. And often they are so self absolved that, although they can indeed carry a full team given the right circumstances, they are in no way good team players, something that is very notable when they have to play in teams such as in clash or flex, or when they are just playing normals with some friends.

For me I feel like honestly while my mechanics and champ pool as a support I would consider bronze/silver tier AT BEST, my brain for where people should be (and shouldnt) on my team, where the play is, when to take a chance vs not I feel for me is prob more gold/plat. So how does one play in bronze/silver and KNOW better 90% of the time if the other 4 on my team do not? To me that's what's the most frustrating thing for me. It's not about my random teammates mechanics or even knowledge of the champ they play, its the dumb mistakes or plays they make.

when playing against autofilled in diamond, I often am triggered because they don’t punish me when I tunnel vision into a cs or make a bad recall or bad roam or anything. I have an idea for a video. Make a commentary on videos like this punish and mistakes. No taking sides of anyone but like this part to guess who would win. I don't really care of elo of each person, but mostly in what is happening from the perspective of someone watching who's higher than the players.
As a low Elo player, sometimes I don't see a mistake of either side since none of us punished it.
This part teached me more to observe my mistakes both as a punisher and punished as well as how the game is being played and want could/should happen.
I see to much in videos about auto analytics but what if the lower elo person doesn't know what the problem is in the first place? I'm in gold and most of my analysis is how the trading pattern is, vision and jgs. So yes, i believe most of us focus too much on How's the fight done instead of goals and how to change the tide of how is it going.
Personally I feel it's a bit harder in my case since most guides don't focus on supports that are not hook, like an enchanter without focusing on roaming and I feel i have to analyse 4 people.

Diamond is the bastard middle child of the family. I remember when I finally hit Diamond I thought my days of toxicity and dumb teammates were over. Only it got worse, people lower rank will call you boosted if you lose to them and people in higher rank will still tell you to “gEt GuD kiD..”
League is one of those games where you don’t let the rank of your playstyle get to your head. You have to genuinely enjoy/understand the game in general to get respect. No one gives a fuck about what rank you are. Challengers get shitted on still with shit teammates. It’s just how the community is. You can never change the community, you can however change the way you play/choose to look at things. Be a part of the sheep and be a toxic fuck, or just be a G and learn to enjoy the game and troll the toxic players. Once you’re good enough you can troll the toxic players then carry them to piss them off more.

It’s a simply a matter of actual effort, playing ranked everyday and saying you can’t make it isn’t the same as actually taking ranked seriously and doing everything you can to make Diamond.
I use wasd camera and I know for a fact that it holds me back from reaching plat, been in promos multiple times and I know Diamond wouldn’t be far off if I just had a normal camera instead of the wild shit my friends see when I stream my games for them.
However I’m stubborn to give up this play style even though I know they game would be some much easier if I did.
Being stubborn is the reason people don’t climb 99% of the time. Low elo players have too much pride and refuse to listen to proper advise when tilted (myself included at times)

@@13YoJest13 Incorrect fam. May 31-June 1 I played 5 games. Support main, mostly Swain rn. Two of those games had trolls, dancing all over the map, inting, stealing XP and gold, letting their opponent sweep the map, afk and back to avoid loss mitigation, you name it. (Got a single key fragment for reporting both, thx Rito...). Of the remaining 3 matches? Won 1/5/15 and 3/3/21. Lost 6/10/14, but my mid was 11/17 my adc 12/11 my jg 6/14 and top 2/9, against a fed 23/5 Viego. I dealt the most dmg on my team despite being support. I had the highest vision score. I didn't die until laning phase was over, then it was my tilted team refusing to group or play safe.
So, quick math, I had 2w-3l. One L was team diff which happens, I have no problem with people having rough matches as it happens to all of us. But the other two with inting trolls? We did our best but failed the 4v5s (which true 4v5s would have been better had they not been feeding). That's a 2/3 WR for standard games, and 40% of my matches automatic losses due to trolls. That unfortunately reflects my typical games, 30-40% of my games since April have had some form of griefing/ AI robots/ inting (not just rough games feeding but trolling), and I have an ~80% WR when all 10 of us are playing for keeps. How is anyone supposed to climb when 40% of the time they queue they face an automatic loss no matter how well they support? Winning 80% of the remaining 60% puts me around a 55% WR overall when fair matches would have my WR at least 70% in my elo.
Combine that with the "loss streaks that just happen" (with more afks and such) and within a week I've lost a division's worth of LP.
How can I reach diamond with that? Oh, right, I can't, because my mmr's dogwater for getting queued with two AI robots in the same match. At one point I was earing 9LP and losing 23LP despite having a WR around 70% regardless of trolls. Still, with the patch update and now having much closer LP gains? I still lost a solid 20LP over those 5 games. 3w, 2l, -20LP, when 2 of those losses were due to the 0/11 Heim griefing us that his main was banned (by the enemy), inting to Sett then roaming and stealing gold/xp from us laners then running it down solo across the map, and a 6/12 Elise was an alt account for a streamer, had to throw my match to stay in that elo, so they'd dance for 14 sec here and there over 4min the whole match, stand in a wave and aa without last hitting, never warded objectives or contested, walked into 1v3s without casting anything...
How am I supposed to be able to climb when my LP isn't worth as much to Rito as the Elise and Heim still being able to play? When no matter how well I play in other matches it all gets thrown out by the 40% of matches I get trolls? (On 5/28-29 my Sup Swain games I went 4/2/21, 6/2/10, 5/6/12, 3/4/4 and my team ff'd while I dealt the more than triple the dmg the next highest on my team did, 3/3/23, 2/9/15 (still had the least deaths on my team smh), and 16/8/22 with an overextending adc Vayne having a tantrum that she kept dying while I cleaned up who afk'd after we had their nexus at 10% Of those 6 matches? I won 2.)
So, no. I will never reach Diamond. Why? I'm in my 30s, female, and can't/won't dedicate my life to playing beyond trying to learn and improve. Even if I did play full time, I scientifically have a far slower reaction time to my early 20s male competitors, I'm on the west coast so 80ms ping is good for me, oh, and 40% of my matches are thrown by trolls/ afks that Riot does NOTHING about! If the system had fair matches, if there was actual punishments for afk, if we were measured by outplaying our lane opponents with a 5LP for w/l instead of it all being dependent on the team (think track vs ref-less basketball), I might be able to climb. As is though? Why should I invest time into ranked when Riot themselves won't keep their own playground clean? I'm not climbing, and 40% of the time my performance doesn't even matter because of the Yuumi and Amumu and Sona bots that mean support main me gets autofilled...

I hit Diamond recently primarily learning through skill capped content so I probs feel the unnecessary need to defend them when people criticize their videos lol

Like you are probably more mechanically gifted, better at focusing, and maybe even on lower ping than the average player on your server. Like I already know almost everything skill capped tells me(about jg at least) but I'm really bad at making it happen in game bc my quick thinking/focus levels are bad. So that's why I'm stuck at plat 2. Maybe also bc I play on 70-100 ping lol
@@georgeroth3042 oof yeah 70-100 ping sounds rough. But I really really don’t think I’m mechanically gifted at the game, which is why I have a tiny champ pool of fairly simple champs. I was stuck low-mid plat for a while, and what actually really helped for me was being strict with playing schedule. I started playing 3 games a day starting at 7:00 with a 5 min break between each and then immediately log out. Trains your brain that 7:00 is focus on league time. Climbed from Plat 3 to D4 in like 3 weeks once I started the schedule. It helps with the focusing aspect for sure

It's just a lie they keep saying you can make game losing mistakes but act like your team can't make game losing mistakes. Whenever a high elo player goes into low elo in current meta they lose and just say they're "not trying" or cherry pick duo games that they won. These people are only high elo because they've been there for ages and larping, after silver the players get worse and worse. And EUW doesn't count you have a team on that server.

I'm sorry but calling these "GAME LOSING MISTAKES" is silly and a big stretch. As if it matters that you took a skillshot for free by the 30th minute. Game losing mistake is when you get caught while big objectives like dragon soul/ elder / baron are up
game losing because of snowball effect. poke out of lane means lose xp, means enemy level up for objective , means u cant rotate or if u do you lose the 2v2, means that enemy gets objective, means ur jungler starts trolling because he needs to get an advantage after losing both scuttle and dragon, means ur bottom starts sucking because enemy mid is roaming and u cant contest bc ur still behind in levels, these are game losing. small errors lead to big game losing mistakes IF ENEMY EXECUTED PROPERLY, which nobody does ever in low elo.

Im not sure this is accurate. You didn't mention what to do when 4 of your teammates are feeding at a rapid pace. Every enemy has 10 kills by 15 mins and they are basically one shotting your team.

Or your team has the lead them someone rage afks or trolls. I left another way too long comment, ~40% of my matches since April have been lost due to 4v5 for whatever reason. Climbing isn't possible when the teams aren't there, and I automatically lose nearly half the games I queue into over it. There's only so much carrying a support main can do with teams that can't carry (made worse when you deal the most dmg on your team... as the support... give them kills and they lack the skills to keep up and ignore your pings).

Absolutely. I play with 100ms and 60 fps and I'm hardstuck plat. So once I have 50 ms and 200 fps I'll reach high diamond for sure. I have good decession, good cs per min and everything as well.
I won Diamond games when I was overseas playing in EUW from California with 200+ ping. The only issue are highly mechanical champions like Nidalee, Lee Sin and you don't have to play them when you can play Garen top or Xin Zhao.
@@LexxMachinima Yea true, easier mechanical or tankier champions can make you climb aswell if you know what you're doing. I think there was a pro support main who reached challenger while playing with 200 ping a few years ago before joining a team, but I might be wrong.

I was literally a top tier Osu Player, played in the world championship as a captain for my country twice, reached the highest level of play in Apex Legends, but i literally can't climb because i want to end it after 2 games of league. I have a 59 % winrate but i literally can't climb. xd

You can blame noone else. In league however the team aspect is really breaking the game for me. You need to learn how to beat your own teammates.
You need to go into it with the mentally that you're going into a 1v9 fight till someone on your team proof the contrary. Do not trust your teammates to make good decision, do not follow their stupid mistake and do not try to correct their mistake by taking fights.
Stick to your gameplan ALWAYS. Do not let yourself get drag down by their mediocrity. You don't have to be out there creating fights, you don't need to be out there trying to outplay a situation where is a 1v3 or 2v4, you don't need to be forcing situations. The reality is that players bellow Masters will destroy themselves much of the times. They will make stupid mistakes and you should take advantage of them. Play to your powerspikes and take fights base on it them. Understand your champion strong points ,weaknesses and play around it.
Reaching Diamond is not hard itself because the skill of the players on the other side are not really good and their game knowledge is not good either. They don't even know about wave management and they don't know what to do against a freezed lane. The hardest part of climbing is dealing with teammates. Plat players are the worst

@@Zygarde-zp7gr this dumb mentality loses u more games than u think. It's called the "super star mentality", I have 4 bots on the team I must 1v9 or I will lose.
Reality being, even if u r climbing and doing well, you're still not much better than the other 9 players in the game. Sometimes someone on the team will be the carry and your win condition is to play accordingly.
Example: I'm playing Renekton vs Riven. The lane was easy but she had a premade jungler and I got dove 3 times and now I'm behind on a champion that doesn't scale well. I have a fed ADC on the team that can probably carry if he stays alive. Now here is where the outcome of the game may come to: if I play the dumb way listed above, I will go on someone and try to full combo this, guess what, I do no damage, insta die and my team loses the rest of the fight 4v5 and we lose the game. Now the correct way of playing it: I sit on the ADC, if anyone tries to get on him I use my CC and peel for him. He carries the fight and we win the game.
Now I'm not saying you shouldn't play to carry. I play every game with the mentality of winning lane and carrying game. But anyone who isn't smurfing in a much lower elo than his skill will lose lane sometimes for different reasons no matter how good. At that point u better cooperate with your fed team mates, if you have any, because playing the ego way means your team is playing 4v6 with how dumb u r.

If E take your example, you play vs a free match up. First of all, as a lancer you should be knowing where the enemy jungler is before doing a play. You should be able to manage your wave accordingly as well. If not, you are not playing your lane properly or the best way possible.
But if somehow you fuck up your lane because you get camped. Your goal is to die as less as possible to absorb all the ennemy jungle's attention without dying. Yes, you get behind in CS but you might lose even if you played your best if your team can't get a lead elsewhere. But if your team gets a lead, it means that they become the win con and you aren't anymore. They played better than expected, you have to play around them and put your ego aside to take the win.
Anyway, you misunderstood what the original mindset described was about.
If you want to climb efficiently in SoloQ, you shouldn't rely on your mates and expect anything from them because you are the only constant variable in your games (they might play well one game but not the next one's, you can't control them). Of course, if they play well, you can play around them and sit of the fed guy but that won't happen every game especially in low elo (below Diamond, and in Diamond elo too).
Your example is not really relevant because you are talking about a specific situation when I'm talking about a mindset which is more general and should be applied in every soloQ game if you want to maximize your chance of winning : Play like if you are 1v9 unless your teammates proves you wrong. And when I say play like if you are 1v9, it doesn't mean run into the entire enemy team all alone, but to play smart, punish mistakes, take good fights, know your champions limits, etc.

tbh there isnt much difference of bronze and challenger, bronze makes a lot of mistakes but are not always punished, challengers make few mistakes but get punished every time
