@@WiseOwl_1408 It's all fun and games until more forests burns down to the point where there is little to no active trees for the next decade, and all the wild animals flock closer to human lands. Lack of trees means less roots under the ground to stabilize soil meaning rainy weather and storms could cause mud slides...
China has personally experienced some due to their karma, but if people take lightly their impact on the environment (with or without so called climate change), mother nature should knock some sense into them.

Predicting weather on a specific day is different from predicting general trends. They can’t predict if it’ll rain in Edmonton on October 3rd, 2024, but they can predict if the fall of 2024 will be relatively warm compared to past years.

"The percentage of tornadoes that trigger a warning has increased over recent decades, due to Doppler radar, improved modeling and better understanding of the storm environment. About 87% of deadly tornadoes from 2003 to 2017 had an advance warning. The lead time for warnings has also improved. In general, it’s about 10 to 15 minutes now."
Stolen from Google search. If we can't predict weather how can we predict tornados and have that time improve?
Was that a weird comparison ?

Four times a year the Federal government sends me a cheque for something which I think has to do with saving the planet. But the weather has been so mild in Alberta due to climate change that the only time I’ve jacked the house heat is first thing in the morning. When I drive, I jump in the car and go. No idling to let it warm up while I brush snow. This warm weather has reduced my carbon footprint. Where’s my carbon credits so I can sell them to the big emitters?

I live half way up that imaginary line between Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and so far this winter it has been extremely warm. It has only dipped down to -20 a couple times, and it still has been going above 0 even in December. Ten to fifteen years ago, and maybe more there would always be snow on the ground for Halloween, now there never is. First snow fall we'd always get around 2 meters for a good 4 days back to back in October, maybe November sometimes. But now, we barely have 10 centimeters of snow on the ground and it's almost my birthday (Dec. 20th), when we should have a good 2 meters everywhere and packed down from being shoveled and plowed as well as driven over and walked on, on on the walking trails. But today it is -9 degrees Celsius, and the temperature has been similar to that most of the days maybe varying a few degrees or two since winter has started and only dipping as cold as -18 twice. This is Highly unusual these last couple years because by the time even November even rolls around, the weather starts getting into the -20's and even October can produce -15 and so forth. And, that's not the worst part. So, by December it is usually -20 to -25 everyday and sometimes even -30 on some days or even colder. I've seen, without windchill, up here around -38 to about -42, and that's without windchill. Then there was a place called Rabbit Lake mine, a Uranium Mine for Cameco. I worked one winter doing surface drilling into the crown pillar of the mine, it was called SK Division #18 a map. It was in northern Saskatchewan. It was called Eagle Point Mine right under Wollaston Lake, and it got to be like - 52 degrees with the wind chill whilst standing in the Diamond Drill tower during Christmas time, nothing was colder in my life and my hands felt like they were gonna fall off. That's when the good old tiger torch comes in handy to warm your hands, pulling rods.
