  • HELLO EVERYONE! Welcome back to the channel and back to another video! Today’s chat is all about my new car, and funny enough, here we are in the new car. This is a 2024 Hyundai Tuscon SEL - black interior and black Exterior. She is so sleek. I love it! And she’s got a roof rack, lol. It's not necessary, but I like it. I like it a lot.
Mustangs are cute but impractical. S is officially in her SUV era…
Take back my control of my life, take back my power, and stop relying on my employer for a vehicle.
That being said, I recognize the SIGNIFICANT privilege I have that my employer lets me drive the car. It’s a great honor that I TRULY enjoy and really APPRECIATE. However, it’s not common at all. My next job, whenever and wherever that may be… will likely not have a company car for me to drive. So, it was time to GET REAL….
Also, any day- the business could decide that it is too expensive for me to drive the car and park it in the garage.
Also, that's not just a time when inflation is high; that could be any time. THEN, what would I do? Fortunately, I live at home and my mom and i could work something out with her SUV. But, I’m at the point in my life where I need to be LESS reliant on the parental unit, not more. It’s one step closer to independence.
Also, I have always watched my parents (it seems like in the last 10-16 years) buy cars with cash (mind you, my dad is 77 this year, so it’s taken him A WHILE to get to this point in his life.)
But that is just not feasible for me. Especially being that he was someone who bought a house for 17k and made 15k at the time.
    *15,000 in 1980 is worth $57,650.32 in 2024*
    *$17,000 in 1980 is worth $65,337.02 today.*
I’ve even talked to my older friends about this (you know, the ones who are actually over 40; if you are new here, you may not understand that joke lol, but a couple people said I looked like I was 40… lol)
And they have even told me that they have always financed, too, not paid cash. You can put money down, but paying all cash is a big deal.
I DID NOT pay for this car in cash, but I put down a pretty significant chunk of change….
And I got a really great percentage APR, too.
Also, this car has a longer warranty than many other car brands straight out of the gate. 5 years/60K miles, whichever is first, and being that I drive less than 10K a year, that will be perfect for me for the life of me driving the car…
I love the car and am so greatful that i can do something like this.
