TECH FAILS & LESSONS LEARNED: Dyson Straightener Update & Amazon SD Card Scam!

Hey everyone, welcome back to another video and back to my channel. This week was a week of tech failures for Sarah's life (don't you love how I say that in 3rd person??? lol).
A Major Update on My Dyson Straightener
Almost a year ago, I filmed a video raving about the Dyson Corrale straightener and how great it was. Well, here's the update: it's still a fantastic product, but recently, it stopped holding a charge. Right after the warranty expired, of course. Could it have been an accident? Possibly. But it's frustrating that it's now unusable without a cord. So, did I buy another one? You bet I did, especially when it was on sale! The new one will be here soon, and hopefully, it'll provide a better experience.

Now, let's move on to the second tech fail of the week: SD cards. I bought some microSD cards from Amazon, and one of them turned out to be counterfeit. My camera kept giving me errors, so I did some digging and discovered the truth. The fake looked pretty convincing, but comparing it side-by-side with a real one made the differences clear. It's a lesson learned: sometimes, trying to save a buck isn't worth it. So, if you're buying tech gear, stick to trusted retailers like Best Buy or Target. You can still buy from Amazon, but be careful and look for inconsistencies.
Overall, this week has been a reminder to stay vigilant when it comes to tech purchases. I hope sharing my experiences helps you avoid similar pitfalls. Remember, it could always be worse! Stay aware, stay alert, and I'll see you in the next video.
