This is really the hardest part! Accepting things we are told, and that we know to be true! Driving clean is the key to advancing to A or better DR! I finally got my A DR and it was because I acquiesced to what all my friends kept telling me. Great video, hopefully others will learn from this one Cam
Yes. The most important thing is to just worry about your whole race and have a good plan for the entire race. If it's the last lap, then defend your position as if your life depended on it. But if you are in P2 on lap 3 of 40, and P3, who qualified 0.050 behind you wants to pass, let them go. They will probably drag you along and help you save fuel without having to worry about losing time. And try to keep in mind the cars you pass in the pit lane and the proximity of your positions. Like you said, don't fight too hard if you know the guy ahead of you is about to pit. You will gain the position without a fight eventually anyways. On the other hand, if someone has already pitted and you haven't, and they are on your ass, let them go. They are probably fighting for the win and are clearly quicker than you. No point in both of you losing time when you're that far behind and still need to pit. Courtesy goes a long way sometimes. You don't want to be the guy everyone wants to kick out of the lobby because you get in the way of the lead cars.
Good advice in here. Bonus for #2: Let it go - once they are past, you get to stay in their slipstream, save fuel and pass them in the pits. #3: I used to call this "chasing not racing" because of you're following and chasing some cars you are no longer racing. Hit your brake points and apex's and you'll catch them in no time.
Great tips for someone new to sim racing, already wrote them down lol, any more tips for begginers wld be very much appreciated. Keep up the good work 👍
To add to corner speed: Everyone remembers 'slow in, fast out.' But what most beginners don't worry about is mid corner speed. Don't brake too early to where you are crawling seemingly forever through the apex and don't brake so late that you have to come to a complete stop in order to make a turn. There should be minimal time (preferably none) between gas-brake-gas going into and out of a turn. That way, you lose minimal time during braking, going through, and coming out of a turn. That's where a lot of newbies lose a crap load of time. Their lines are good, their positioning is good, but their braking spots and brake pressure need some fine tuning to maximize corner speed.
Thanks just started playing and game and notice that all your tips is actually what i needed because im typically and arcade racing person like NFS so those tips are gonna help my bad habits like trying to win in the first lap lol
And mid corner speed. There should be very little time between the gas and brake pedals. If you are crawling through the apex or need to hit the gas to make it through, you are braking too early. If you find that you have to come to almost a complete stop before hitting the apex, you are braking too late. It should be a quick and smooth transition from gas-brake-gas generally. Corners like Turn 1 at the Shanghai track (not present in GT Sport) is a completely different animal.
can someone explain how you know the gears beside the gears there is a bar and i dont know how til fill the bar up i can only get it half up so i can not drive fast because of it someone plz explain i am new to this game
Biggest tip every DON'T be an asshole... and to me the rear view mirror helps a ton too... shows everything going on behind you.. seems easier to use than having to look back..
Penalties for hitting other cars or going off track in certain spots. It will slow your car down in certain sections for whatever penalty time you accumulated.

Happy to help!
Tip 3: don't follow in the tracks of the people ahead of you
Tip 4: follow in the tracks of the people ahead of you
Haha yes Its hard to focus on both things at the same time
Good advice! What kind of wheel do you use? Great GT Sport content!
He uses g29
Great video...I've only raced two fia races...I will try these tips...
I like to play Rally and Drift, but Rally is hard but I can whip my GT86 around the corner hard but fail at straights.
If I’m second and I have a run on the inside I’m going for it , that’s a racer
Slow in fast out and left foot breaking will help you get faster in this game

Most of these tips are racing etiquette. Still a good list though.
Thanks for sharing
I find it really hard to focus on my race when there is a car in front of me

I am watching this in 2024
Same here...... 02/2024...Im still such a newbie to sim racing games. I wanna gwt better but there is so much to learn...
Look at Senna... He could gain +10 places in a single lap...
There’s only ONE Senna 🥺
@@andrewvasquezz You will get there eventually, just keep up the good work 👍💪
Yeah, but Senna didn't have to deal with a bunch of 11 year olds that dive bomb for life...
