Excellent video, short, concise and to the point. I have seen significant improvement in my lap times both in GR3 and GR4 since you have been coaching me.
Thanks, Digit. You've told me time after time to not use more than 50% braking, but it never sunk in. I;ve always used 100% braking. If I use 50% I would have to bring my braking points back a bit, but you tell me that I need to stay off the throttle (like, derr ...). I'm going on track to try this out now :-)
I'm getting back into GTS leading upto GT7 release and upgrading my cockpit, My cockpit I'm upgrading from has the t300rs but it was locked onto cockpit but it had flex which made it hard to drive as it was inconsistent. But I got the T-GT and I'm getting a TR8 cockpit so I think I will stay with the game this time and not be frustrated with my equipment. Your video was awesome 👌 I'll definitely use the advice. I've watch a few of your Vods but in Australia might not catch a live stream due to time difference. Thanks again.
@@DigitRacingDG Cockpit got delayed till December but I have already upgraded my pedals while I wait - got the Load cell T-LCM now should help with trail braking.
Outstanding instructional video, terrific job. With FR cars and MR cars, it’s somewhat intuitive to me that the brake bias is set relative to where the engine weight is positioned. That is, for FR cars, the engine weight is forward, so the brake bias should be set toward the rear of the car, where the drive axle is. MR cars, on the other hand, while also rear-wheel drive, have the engine weight positioned toward the back/rear of the car, so best turn in / stability is achieved if one sets the brake bias toward the front of the car (like -1 or -2, for example). But what about 4wd cars? The motor weight is up front, but there are two drive axles? I have difficulty finding the sweet spot for good turn-in AND stability in AWD cars such as the Gr 4 WRX or the Gr 4 Nissan GTR. What are people’s thoughts on brake bias settings on AWD cars, and why? Thank you again, mate, for the terrific video series. Top notch content!
Thanks, 4WD is difficult because every car is different and therefore each car has to be set up individually. I think the best starting point is always 0 and then deciding what is best for each car, hope that helps
I use a controller as well. I have the X as accelerator and square as brake, because Im used to it. Bt like that, you can't really trail brake. So I set the L2 button (the one with a spring in it) as an extra brake. That way I can dab the brakes while still on the throttle. Oh, and my gears are the R1 and L1. So yeah, I have 2 brakes, my main one with the button, and another on the L2 so I can dab it in tight corners while on the throttle.
Go into the car options and change the throttle sensitivity (it’s not actually called “throttle sensitivity”, but something else that I can’t remember) and lower it a whole bunch (you can do the same thing with the braking sensitivity if you wish). Its easier to accelerate smoothly (and thus reduce spinning out) when the throttle sensitivity is lower. This helps a ton when playing on controller.
hello very nice videos mate ,, I would like to know if it is possible for you to tell me what settings from the wheel and also in the game you use in the fanatec elite, I have samewith the f1 steering wheel but i feel i have the wrong configuration maybe you can help me thanks

Very clear and concise Trail Braking explanation. Thanks so much!

great content , I will definitely train with these principles in mind

Great vid quality. More viewers and subscribers will come

This is super subjective to how people drive but but but this is also informative. This is a great video.

Great job, mate. Thanks for your help.
Super useful! Thanks!

My English sucks, but this explanation video is really simple and clear. Thanks
Thanks
great short explaination! Thank you!

Helped me a lot thanks.

Thanks once more :)
Wonderful format and info!
Thanks so much!
Definitely enjoyed watching this. Thanks. Didn't even need to tell to me subscribe. This is too good! 😄
Haha thanks man!
I had no idea about the break balanse stuff. i would always spin out in corners with my huracan gt3. Thanks for the help!
Happy to help

Who needs breaks when u got other cars, right?
Right on point
When it comes to the brake bias, what's the best setting for 4WD cars?
Depends on the car, but for example Veyron I like to drive at - 3
Great video
Thanks!
Great video! I’m struggling with braking with abs off.
To be fast go with default, it's the fastest option
This is brilliant - thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
great video about brake bias,, ,, im always struggling to find the good setting ,, regards from amsterdam
Thanks 👍
Great tips
What brake bias setting do you recommend for RR (i.e. Porsche) type cars?
They feel like MR cars, so I would go with something around -2, -3 depending on a car
Do you ever adjust the BB for 4WD cars, or just leave them at 0?
Outstanding instructional video, terrific job. With FR cars and MR cars, it’s somewhat intuitive to me that the brake bias is set relative to where the engine weight is positioned. My fronts wear 3x faster so you should choose +5
Awesome.
No run weak abs or was this with abs off. I’m most curious about this. Seems there’s a lot of different preferences
Stay with default, it's the fastest option
God this has helped!
Glad it did :)
The braking is brutal to master in this game but its probably because I'm used to F1 2021
Love it boss I have this game in plastic I haven’t played yet I don’t have PS4/5😭😭😭😟😟😟🤮🤮🤮
I play with wheel at home and controller (Dualsense) at work. Any brake-tips for controller?
I'm not really a contoller guy, but braking points a general idea should be the same

I feel like 0 BB I best otherwise your car can’t slow down enough if too positive but you can rotate a lot faster
Depends on the car, 0 is always a good starting point
@@DigitRacingDG yeah I always go back coz I trail brake a lot but maybe I’m overslowing the car
Where do you set brake bias? Wheel or game.
In game of course
How can you not lose when you're on 0 traction control ?
Because I keep spinning around all the time : /
Small corrections and counter steering with throttle management.
Go into the car options and change the throttle sensitivity (it’s not actually called “throttle sensitivity”, but something else that I can’t remember) and lower it a whole bunch (you can do the same thing with the braking sensitivity if you wish).

Hey, I have the settings in the description of the video. About in game it's 10 sensitivity and 4 force feedback
Can you feel big difference on g29 pedals in trail braking in comparison to those Fanatec ones? - zviuk

MR - mid engine, rear drive
FR - front engine, rear drive

I use - but you should always test the car before
